FactsThis is probably the only spin-off anyone has done to the book; Starlight Barking
I spent 10 months working on this fan-fiction
The surname to the news reporter; Michael Swen from Bark of War is News spelt backwards
ContinuityThis story takes place some time after the end of the original series as multiple episodes are mentioned; for example; “Fountain of Youth” & “Dalmatian Vacation”
This story also takes place somewhere near after the end of Tacs’ story; “Long Road Home” and also at the same time as Kit’s story “Gypsy Stream Of Consciousness”.
The story then moves in four years later into an alternate timeline
I also consider this story to be Cannon in the Sparky Forum universe
Inside referencesReferences to multiple 101 stories are shown here.
Clayton and Doc remind Lucky of the events of “Long Road Home”
Cadpig starts a friendship with the British Prime Minister, this is sometime which will come back to her in “Starlight Barking”
Sirius comments to Cadpig about “Dalmatian Vacation” where she pretended to be the Shaggy Green Messenger.
Sirius claims that his weapon was made from aging technology for Cruella after she gave up on the water in “Fountain of Youth”
Kendra returns to the original Dearly house. It seems to be a mixture between the animated version and the live-action version (e.g. the red button which opens the door from the live-action one)
Many references to “Gypsy Stream Of Consciousness” are made in chapter 9 seeing it is after Mia leaves the bike shop with Hat & Lon and Alex feeling the aftermath of Hat & Lon’s party.
The Heroic Harem is mentioned, but believed not to of started yet.
Aria’s character; Clover, doesn’t appear but however she is mentioned as one of the considered names for Lucky & Two-Tone’s children.
Outside ReferencesAt the starts of the story and at the end, a character says “What?” three times. This is something David Tennant’s Doctor has done at the end of his first two series and at the end of the 5th episode of series 4.
At the start of the story, Clayton comments the story Doc is telling is a 12 part Doctor Who story. Two possibilities of the story could be; “Daleks Master Plan” or “Invasion Of Time”
Doc also comments about Sidney James asking for an Aberdeen Angus. Sidney James was famous for playing in the Carry On films in which during one; “Carry On Cruising”; his bar man Angus retired and he spent most of the movie trying to discover how Angus made a special drink he liked.
In his victory speech; Henry Nosax comments about The Omnidroid in 2004. This is reference to the Pixar movie, “The Incredibles”
At one point Doc calls Kit a John Barrowman. John Barrowman is the actor who plays Captain Jack Harkness in “Doctor Who” and its spin-off series “Torchwood”. The reason Doc calls Kit that is because Barrowman is a Bisexual to which Kit (unaware to him) is, probably meaning Doc guessed about it some time ago.
Kendra comments about Nasa launching a Giant Inflatable Banana into space. It was stated in a newspaper that they are actually going to do that.
On a bus in "Bark of War" it says that the days Football results were "Washington Redskins: 21, Arazona Cardinals: 19" This was an actual Football result of a macth i went to see in my trip to the U.S. In 2007.
Patch comments about Doc’s strategy to get to Washington is similar to Thunderbolt Episode 42. 42 is what is to believed as The Meaning Of Life in “Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy” and also the episode title of a Doctor Who series 3 story
The Thunderbolt title; The Stowaway was a song released on the Doctor Who series 3 soundtrack and sang in the 2007 Christmas special “Voyage of the d**ned”
Lucky comments he’s been through more adventures than Tom Sawyer. A character from “Mark Twain” novels
Three references to Lilo & Stitch are made, One where Nosax gives his victory speech, two when it is said that Hawaii was the only free state after Sirius’s take over. And thirdly when The Prime Minister states that the existence of aliens was ‘confirmed’ after the Mosquito affair of 1985. This is referring to what Cobra Bubbles comments at the end of “Lilo & Stitch” on how he saved the planet by telling the aliens that Mosquito’s were endangered species. 1985 was also the year Chris Saunders also came up for the idea of Stitch.
In the house, Kendra meets a ginger cat who talks to a dog named Dodger, this is probably guessed to be Oliver from “Oliver & Company”
She also meets a boy with a red hat and green jacket; this is possibly TJ from “Recess”
With Squad R (Roxy’s group) Tyler comments how it’s like 9/11 times 1000 (or more) This was playing on a joke from “Team America: World Police”
Deleted SequencesThere was suppose to be a secondary story with Two-Tone, Mooch and Tac in Bark of War, however the idea never worked and in the end had no affect on the story.
Whilst on the plane, the pups looked around the living quaters (where Cruella was asleep) and Dipstick found the in-flight movies to be about plane disasters. This was meant to be a comic relief moment but i couldn't think how to write it out well.
Lucky was suppose to escape with Kendra at the end of Bark of War, it then had him give his life to save the others in Final Game.

FeedbackFeedback was positive
Kit commented on how real the personalities of the characters were and also how the story was no glorified tale of a hero. This is the tale of a raw dystopia where just a little courage still burns. The best Post-apocalypticism!
Tac gave it a standing ovation as so did Raiden
However Belchic in his reviews gave it a 7.5 rating, he commented how for Final Game, it got more interesting as it went along.
Everyone seemed very happy to have the characters in the fic to =P
That's my story
