Well, it's no secret I'm a closeted linguist with a keen interest in languages so there is perhaps no shock that I enjoy hearing differences in songs in different languages. Disney is perfect for this, because not only are the songs performed in many different languages in the different dubs, but the singers are usually very talented. Am I the only one who likes hearing Disney songs in different languages? For example: "Can you feel the love tonight" from The Lion King (Norwegian) www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP6ZQZMtlTg- This song has been good in nearly every language I have heard it. "Why Should I worry" from Oliver and Company (Swedish) www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_FmxN_gRAoAnd I guess to honor my character, Anya, I'd have to include this love balad from The Lion King 2 called "Love will find a way" in Bulgarian: www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGCxIwdye_EI'm really not that fond of the balads, though. I prefer the more epic Disney-tunes, such as "He is not one of us" also from the Lion King 2. Here is a multilanguage one-line from the epic climax of the song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlGe9kKlF6wImagine that within this version you'll hear the version heard in Hesso's, Olwe's, Mimi's, My own and probably many other members countries If you have a (preferably non-english) version of a Disney song you like, please feel free to contribute. I'll admit that I often prefer the original English versions, but because *everyone* can speak english, the mysterious and exotic tone of the song vanishes. Personally I prefer the Nordic languages, evidently, because I can understand them all to some extent and hearing things that's so close to what I know, yet somehow still foreign and mystic can be very effective. I also like the Slavic languages cause they sound very powerfull with strong articullated pronounciations.

I have an interest in hearing a show's theme song/dialogue in other languages. Maybe I'll share some of my findings on them a little bit later.

The multi-language songs are awesome Heck, my friend Jessica knows how to sing "Hakuna Matata" from "The Lion King" in Hebrew. Me and her are Jewish, we're fluent in Hebrew, and it's entertaining to listen to~ Here's a link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=au1CZeY6Xlc

The Hebrew singers are really good singers and I like Simba's cub voice. Really cute. I know very little about the hewbrew language - Would you say it differ alot from English, Paws? I really should try to learn a language that does not belong to the Germanic and North Germanic language-group, just to get a clear view of how much languages can vary. Thinking of French, I hear it's exellent for cursing

It's a very interesting language, being based more on the sound of the word It's simple to learn, though.

Watched Tic Track Toe in German...
Lucky does have a decent German voice. Rolly also sounds a little more male, Cruella sounds like Natasha from Rocky and Bullwinkle and Spot sounds slightly more annoying.
The "How's it go-going" line didn't survive the translation. Looks like they took out a few of the canine sound effects too (Go-Go growling at Cadpig in the bunny suit for instance), probably just a technical thing with dubbing the show.

Hehe, I remember seeing some of those Darkwing Duck intros. It's even funnier when you see them with false subtitles. There used to be a vid that showed the German, Dutch and Swedish intros with fake subtitles, but that vid was taken down for some reason.

Sweet, Trey ;D I love the Norwegian, Swedish, German and Bulgarian version as well. but you forgot my favourite, Icelandic! If you pay close attention to the subtitles you might discover an... ahum.. familiar language from the text I have under my picture. I will say, The Pups do sounds quite sweet as well. X3 Though, Adults sound a bit hush in it. Awww, Bab ^^ Well, Perdita sounds sweet in the Cruella deVil scene. "Ånei, Pongo! Det er henne! Det er den djevelkvinnen!" Or something like that...

This is the Dutch intro to "The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh". I came up with my own false translation to it:
Come die, my mate. Copy my lighter. And tough, my smiling festive right. He is sons of him lately, So kooshy and neatly there.
Pooh Bear, Winnie the Pooh Bear. Be on the south. See oil and scissors there. Pooh Bear, some big monsoon there. Rum belly, bumble zits. Air showing Rolly's bar.
Tickets to yearning spots. Bottles and tokens bad. Frozen and boy, demmond air. But signs here I lied, That shall dump by me bride. Their food here is falling. Yeah, it's all a fraud there.
Pooh Bear, Winnie the Pooh Bear. Through Hindu, a case. Oh, pit a nickel spit. Pooh Bear, we'll have a big sale. Candy is sweet too. Can do it there. Marry me, Pooh.
