Sirius took his new prisoners back up onto the Odyssey.
Kendra & her group were made to wait outside in the corridor leading into the main deck. When the time came, the doors opened and the guards on duty gave them a kick to move, which is what they did.
They stepped slowly and gently across the wooden floor of the bridge, standing to the left of them were Fidget, Wizzer & Clayton (when he saw them enter, his tail gave a slow wag) and to the right of them stood; Patch, Cadpig, Dipstick & Lucky (as soon as she saw him Two-Tone wanted to leap into Luckys arms, but she didn’t) at the far end of the room Sirius stood upon the small staircase leading to the main control panels, to one side of him; Nosax stood up against one of the banisters and to the other; Doc still remaining trapped within the suspended glass.
Kendra stopped just a few feet away from Sirius who just look down on her and held out his palm.
“My collar.” He said, looking at his bear neck “In case you thought I forgotten about its teleportation properties.”
Kendra (as usual) did as she was told and unstrapped the metallic collar from her neck and chucked it to Sirius.
“Now then…” Sirius said to Kendra, strapping the collar round his neck “…Kneel.”
Again; Kendra applied and knelt down, her group did the same.
“Down below.” Sirius began “A fleet is ready to launch. Over a million ships, set to burn across the universe.”
He stepped over to one of the control panels, clicked one of the switches and spoke into a microphone. “Are we ready? The fleet awaits the signal. 4 minutes to align the fleets target trajectories. Counting down.”
He turned to face a readout hanging next to a porthole, upon it in digital text came a number
240
With a bleep the number went down by one. The bleep occurred every second and each time continued to go down,
238, 237, 236
Sirius grinned at the others “You can never resist the ticky clock can you?” He then looked out the porthole and yelled out loud “My People! Are You Ready!?”
Around the Earth, billions of spheres scrunched together in tight formation, like a rose before its bloom. As they hovered on high, they chanted their battle cry “We fly in flight and slice, We fly and fight and dice.”
207, 206, 205
“At zero…” Sirius said turning back to his prisoners “To mark this day. The young ****, Kendra Dearly, will die.”
He chuckled “Heh. My first blood.” He then looked down upon Kendra and asked “Any last words?”
There was silence, Kendra didn’t say a word. Sirius sighed.
“Such a big disappointment this one.” The alien hound turned to look at the aged one “Days are old. You had family members who could brainwash someone with their simple stench, this one’s useless!” he then pulled out his Eliminator and held it pointed towards Kendra “Bow your head.” He ordered, to which (again) Kendra complied.
180, 179, 178
“And so it falls to me…” Sirius began a pre-war speech “To establish from this day forward, a new dog star empire! From this day forward…”
As he spoke, Kendra started to giggle, Sirius stopped.
“What?” he asked “What’s so funny?”
Kendra looked up, a grin clearly showing on her face.
“A gun?” she said through her chuckles “A gun in four parts?”
“Yes!” Sirius nodded “And I destroyed it!”
“A gun in four parts scattered all over the world? Come on! Did you ACTUALLY believe that?”
“What?”
“As if I would sink to your level by asking her to kill.” Doc smirked starting to stand up in the glass he was in.
Sirius slapped his forehead “It doesn’t really matter does it? I got her exactly where I want her.”
“But I knew what Tac would do…” Kendra continued to smile “Everyone knows about his feelings for Dipstick.”
“That’s why I came; to find you; know your enemy.”
“I told him about the gun so he’d get me here, at the right time.”
Sirius continued slapping his forehead “But you’re still going to die!”
“You want to know what I’ve been doing?” Kendra asked “All this time?”
Sirius sighed and rolled his eyes before he sat down on the stairway “Tell me.”
130, 129, 128
“I used words…” Kendra exclaimed “That’s all. No weapons, just words. I did as Doc told me. I walked across the world all on my own; I found the people and told them my story.”
“They have stood up for what’s right so many times, and you barely knew they existed. I know them. [/b]
“I told them about my family.”
“I love them.” [/b]
“And I told them to pass it on. Spread the word so that everyone would know about the Dearlys.”
110, 109, 108
“Faith & Hope?” Sirius raised his eyebrows “Is that all?”
“No.” Kendra shook her head “Cause I gave them an instruction. Just like Doc said…”
“Use the countdown.” [/b]
61, 60, 59
“I told them that if they thought of one thing, at one specific time…”
“Nothing will happen!” Sirius stood up and interrupted Kendra “Is that your weapon?
41, 40, 39
“Prayer?”
“Right across the world, just one thought at just one moment…But with 10 dozen satellites…”
Sirius’s eyes widen “What?”
“The Atized Network.” Clayton grinned
28, 27, 26
“A telepathic field…” Kendra continued to smile
20, 19, 18
“Binding all of Earth kind together…”
15, 14, 13
“With all of them…”
10, 9, 8
“Every single creature on Earth…”
7, 6, 5
“All thinking of the same thing...”
4, 3
“At the same time…”

“And that word…”

“Is DEARLY.”

A great gust of wind suddenly filled the room. Sirius turned to look at the glass Doc was in. All around the miniature dogs’ body, an incredible light started to shine. The glow grew brighter and brighter, the glass surrounding it dissolved.
“Stop it.” Sirius said pointing towards the glow “Oh, No, No, No, You don’t.”
As the glow shone, the occupants of the bridge started chanting the Dearly name, starting with Clayton, then Lucky, then Patch and then Cadpig.
On the pixelly screen on one of the control panels, images of large crowds started to gather outside in the streets and around all the landmarks chanting “Dearly! Dearly!” getting louder and louder with each call.
On deck, many more started saying the word despite Sirius’s orders for them to stop it.
Kit called
Two-Tone called
Drake, Belchic & Jamie called
And pretty soon, even Nosax started to call.
Sirius turned to look back at the glow as it started to take the form of what looked like a 20 year dog, getting younger and younger by the minute.
“I had Four Years.” It said in Docs voice “To link my family in to the Atized Network and integrate with its matrix.”
Sirius’s eye started twitching and then started shouting at everyone “I ORDER YOU TO STOP!!!”
On Earth, every single creature shouted out the Dearly name. From human to dog to cat all the way down to even the smallest of bugs. From America, Europe to Asia all saying “Dearly! Dearly!”
“One thing you can’t do…” Doc said to Sirius taking form of a five year old dog “Is stop them thinking.” All around him many ghostly faces surrounded him, look close and they bare striking resemblances to long gone friends. With the prisoners, their faces lightened up and they grinned, some even chuckled.
Doc took a step forward.
“Tell me that the Dearlys are pathetic now. When they do this.”
As he moved closer and closer, Sirius raised his weapon towards Doc “NO!” He screamed as he clicked the trigger; however the faces acted like a shield around Doc, the heart of this shield being the images of a mother & a father Dalmatian.
When he gave up on Doc, Sirius pointed the Eliminator towards the prisoners “I’ll kill them!” he said preparing to click the switch but before he could Doc held his paw out and the weapon flew straight into his grip before chucking it behind him.
Sirius looked back to Doc “You can’t do this!” he kept on screaming “You can’t do this, It’s not fair!”
Doc continued to step forward “And you know what happens now.”
Sirius felt struck with fear “NO! NO! NO!”
“You wouldn’t listen…”
“NO!”
“Cause you know what I’m going to say.”
“NO!” Sirius started trembling on the floor, for the first time in four years, he knew what fear was.
Doc stopped and the faces around him vanished. He looked over Sirius before starting to stroke his fur and whisper into his ear “I’m sorry.”
“My people!” Sirius muttered, to which the spheres floating around the Earth responded to.
“Protect the paradox! Protect the paradox!” the chanted, disengaging all previous commands and headed straight for the Odyssey.
“Clayton!” Doc got up and called to his friend “The Paradox Machine!”
Clayton nodded and pointed towards the male dogs and the now out of trance troops on the bridge, “You guys!” he ordered “Follow me! Jamie, Fidget; stay here and look after the girls!”
He then turned and ran straight out of the room, his group in hot pursuit.
However when Docs back was turned, Sirius started typing something on his collar. Doc turned back to see what Sirius was doing. He jumped with a quick reaction and grabbed Sirius with the collar, zapping him and Sirius away.
Doc landed on his back against a hard rocky surface. He looked over to see Sirius looking over a ridge, staring down at the many rockets that were about launch.
“Now it ends Doc.” He said with a voice like Thunder and Lightning “NOW! IT ENDS!” …
