Introduction
This story is a sequel to my continuation of 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure called Patch And Thunderbolt, and it takes place after the end of that story, which has Patch immediately falling in love with a female Dalmatian pup as soon as he first saw her. When Patch met the girl pup, they spent some time playing with each other while Patch's family and friends watch. While Patch and the girl pup got to know each other, Patch had overcome his crush on his big fan and friend Amber, who has been married to Thunderbolt for some time. Long before, Patch had been struggling to gain fame for his television career and real life heroics, and improve his voice to do Thunderbolt's bark without being laughed at in the process. Now that Patch has accomplished all that, he is looking forward to having the girl pup as his girlfriend, and that is where the story continues.

Chapter One: Patch's First Kiss
***
The story continues at the park in London with Patch's family and friends still watching Patch and the girl Dalmatian he just met laugh and play with each other. The girl pup is regularly spotted, and both of her ears are solid black with a blue ribbon tied to a bow on each one. Also, she wears a blue collar with a round tag, which makes her look as if she is part of Patch's family.
"Well, at least Patch is having fun with the girl," said Pongo, who just moments ago had been confused about how Patch came to thinking more about girls. "There isn't anything wrong with pups finding love, is there?"
"Nothing wrong about that at all," said Perdita calmly.
Perdita leaned herself against Pongo as they both let out a chuckle, with Amber leaning herself against Thunderbolt at the same time.
"I had so much fun with you," Patch said to the girl Dalmatian as soon as they finish playing with each other. "Why don't you come on over and meet my family and friends?"
"Okay," said the girl pup.
The girl pup followed Patch to his family and friends to meet them.
"Hello," the girl pup said to Patch's family and friends. "My name is Priscilla."
Pongo stood up and walked closer to Priscilla to talk to her.
"Hello, Priscilla," said Pongo. "My name is Pongo. I am Patch's father." He stepped to the side to show Priscilla the rest of the group and introduce her to them. "This is Perdita, my wife and Patch's mother. All these pups are our other children, Patch's brothers and sisters. The rest are Patch's friends, Thunderbolt, Amber, and Lightning."
"Nice to meet all of you," Priscilla said to Patch's family and friends, and she turned to face Thunderbolt. "Thunderbolt, I have always been a big fan of yours."
"Just like Patch has always been, huh?" Thunderbolt responded as he winked at Priscilla. "And I'll bet you've been a big fan of Patch when he came on the show."
"Yes, I have."
Just hearing Priscilla mention that she is Patch and Thunderbolt's big fan made Lightning feel jealous again, though he does not feel as jealous as he did before. Lightning remembered when Thunderbolt got all the fame for being the hero on their show and he tried to trick him out of it so he can take his place as the star, but it caused him to end up in prison. He also remembered when he tried to trick Patch and Thunderbolt to believe that fame did not mean anything to him, and when he tried to use Amber to kill Thunderbolt by promising a new home and family life with him; those plans were foiled, which caused him to set London on fire. After attempting to have everyone in London killed, Lightning had some sense talked into him by Thunderbolt telling him that scamming others or killing them will not help him get any fans. From then on, Lightning had learned to calmly talk to someone if he feels that someone is making him jealous.
Lightning manages to keep calm, takes a deep breath, and steps forward to talk to Priscilla.
"Priscilla," said Lightning calmly, "if I may--"
"I know, Lightning," said Priscilla. "You didn't have many fans like Thunderbolt did, and Patch was able to become as famous as Thunderbolt did when he is the sidekick on the show but you weren't, all because you weren't given much roles on that show."
Lightning nodded his head to show that he admitted what Priscilla just said.
"You're right," said Lightning. "I wasn't put in much episodes, and I wasn't even given much to do."
"But if you were given more roles on the show," said Patch, "I would be your big fan, just like I've been Thunderbolt's big fan."
"So would I," said Priscilla.
"Me, too," said Lucky.
"I would be a big fan of yours, too, Lightning," said Penny.
All the other pups agreed that they would be Lightning's fans if he was given more roles on the show with Thunderbolt, which makes Lightning feel much better about himself.
"Well, you guys," said Thunderbolt, striding over to sit between Priscilla and Lightning, "Lightning is going to have another chance at becoming as famous as me very soon. Our producer promised. Lightning and I should've had an equal number of roles on the show. We were supposed to be a team, but I know we will do better in the future."
"Of course, we will," said Lightning, "and Patch will obviously still be on the show as well, because his name is in the title. Even though I'm gonna be in every new episode of the show with you starting in the next season, I don't think the producer is gonna go through the trouble of changing the title to The Thunderbolt, Lightning, And Patch Adventure Hour. Three names seem to be too many to fit in the title."
"Well, maybe if all three of us do very well on the next season of our show, then there could be a spin-off that will have you as the star and hero."
Hearing this caught Lightning by surprise. He never thought of having a spin-off of Thunderbolt's show that stars himself as the hero, though it sounds like a good idea to him.
"You know what?" Lightning said to Thunderbolt. "You're right! There could be a spin-off that will star me as the hero! You know what this means, do you, Thunderbolt? You, Patch, and I really need to work much harder on 'The Thunderbolt And Patch Adventure Hour if we're gonna have a spin-off."
Thunderbolt turned to face Patch.
"Patch, did you hear that?" said Thunderbolt. "If we're gonna have a spin-off starring Lightning, we're gonna have to work really hard on the next season of our show. So, we all need to get really focused and have a lot of concentration when we go to work starting tomorrow, and that includes you."
"Right, Thunderbolt," Patch responded. "I'll work harder. I won't disappoint you and Lightning."
"I know you won't, little buddy. You always managed to do the very best you can."
Patch nodded to show that he agreed with what Thunderbolt just said, and turned to face Priscilla.
"Priscilla," said Patch, "will you watch me, Thunderbolt, and Lightning on the new season of our show?"
"Wouldn't miss it," said Priscilla, "and I wouldn't miss Lightning's show if it ever comes."
Priscilla came closer to Patch, and both pups gave each other a hug.
"Good luck on the new season of your show, Patch," said Priscilla as she and Patch let go of each other.
"Thank you, Priscilla," said Patch.
"You're welcome. Now, I gotta get home. My mother doesn't want me to be home late."
As soon as Priscilla turned around to leave, Patch begins to get the feeling that his love for Priscilla is growing deeper. Unable to keep that feeling inside, he blurted out something that surprised his family and friends.
"Will I ever see you again?"
Priscilla suddenly stopped and turned back when she heard Patch say this.
"I'm sorry?" said Priscilla, feeling confused about what Patch just said as she walked back up to him. "Did you just ask me something?"
Patch now begins to feel embarrassed. He was thinking of having Priscilla as his girlfriend, but it made this matter difficult when he let out what he wanted to ask her. His cheeks blushed pink for a few seconds, but he managed to forget his embarrassment and keep calm so he can repeat what he just blurted out to her.
"I did," said Patch after taking a deep sigh. "I was just wondering if I'll ever see you again."
Priscilla blinked, surprised.
"Really?" Priscilla asked curiously.
"Well," said Patch sheepishly, "I asked because I wanted you to be my girlfriend."
All of Patch's siblings stared at him in shock. They could not believe what he just said. This moment reminded them of the time when Patch had a minor crush on Amber, who was homeless and did not have a family that time; that caused Patch to worry a lot about Amber, and lose focus on his television career with Thunderbolt in the process. Now that Amber has a home and a family, though, Patch no longer has to worry about her.
"You do?" asked Priscilla. "It's funny, because I myself was just thinking about becoming your girlfriend, but I never even thought about when would be the right time for that."
"Well, do you think the right time would be now?" said Patch. "Because if you don't, then I don't mind giving you time to think about it. I mean, I can wait--"
"Oh, no, Patch. You don't have to wait for my decision. I've decided to be your girlfriend now."
Patch grinned at Priscilla's decision. His family could not believe what Priscilla said. Not even Thunderbolt, Lightning, or Amber could believe their ears.
"You really want to be my girlfriend?" Patch asked excitedly. "Right now?"
"Yes," said Priscilla, nodding happily. "Right now."
Patch's family and friends noticed Priscilla getting closer to Patch's right cheek. Priscilla slowly gives Patch a kiss on the ckeek, Patch closing his eyes and thumping his tail on the ground uncontrollably as he lets this feeling called love get to him.
"Whoo, yeah!" Patch shouted cheerfully after he received his kiss from Priscilla. "That felt very good!"
"You like that kiss, do you?" said Priscilla, fluttering her eyelashes at Patch.
"Like it? I love it! No one has ever kissed me this way! Come to think of it, I don't think anyone has ever kissed me at all!"
Hearing all this nearly caused Patch's siblings to burst out laughing, but they managed to stop themselves from doing so by clasping their paws over their mouths.
"Oh, Patch," Priscilla sighed lovingly, "I would love to see you again."
"Will we see each other again right here in the park?" asked Patch.
"Yes. Absolutely."
"And we'll be able to see each other again on the weekends, right? Because I have to work on weekdays."
"Oh, yes, I know. So, here in the park on the weekends would be perfect for us."
"Definitely."
"All right, then. That'll be perfect. This park on the weekends will work just fine."
Once again, Priscilla turned around to leave.
"Bye, everybody!" Priscilla called to Patch and his family and friends. "See you all again on Saturday!"
As Patch watches Priscilla leave, he waves goodbye to her with a lovestruck look on his face.
"Bye, Priscilla," said Patch, and he gently placed a paw on the cheek where he was kissed. "I'll never wash this cheek again."
Lucky shook his head in disbelief.
"Here we go again," Lucky smirked.
Hearing this caused Patch to snap out of it and turn around to face his family and friends, not looking too pleased.
"Now, what exactly is that supposed to mean?" barked Patch.
Lucky took a deep sigh. He and the rest of the family found it impossible to believe that Patch had forgotten about the day when they and Thunderbolt first met Amber, and Patch was left with that same dreamy look as Amber headed home to the junkyard, which was her home that time.
"Oh, come on, Patch," said Lucky impatiently. "You should know that something like this happened on the day we first met Amber, after you saved her and all the other dogs here in London from that dognapper."
"Lucky's right, Patch," Rolly agreed. "As Amber left on the day we first met her, you had that dreamy look on your face. And ever since she told us that she had no home or family, you have been worrying a lot about her."
All this caused Patch's eyes to widen in shock. He now clearly remembers everything that happened on the day he, his family, and Thunderbolt first met Amber, and that worrying about her after finding out that she did not have a home or a family caused him to perform poorly on his television career with Thunderbolt and do worse on improving his voice for Thunderbolt's heroic bark.
"Oh, that's right!" Patch exclaimed. "How could I have forgotten all that? And all that worrying about Amber made me lose concentration on my job and and on my voice improving to do Thunderbolt's bark!"
Amber strides over to talk to Patch.
"Exactly," said Amber, looking down at Patch and smiling at him, "but you don't have to worry about me anymore, Patch. I have a proper home to live in and a family who will look after me. And now, not only do you have a job, but you also have a girlfriend."
"Which is what we're all worried about, Patch," said Lucky. "With you having a job and a girlfriend, you may become less focused at work like before. Your head may get stuck in the clouds, and you may get scolded by your boss and co-workers for doing a bad job. But worst of all, you may get fired! That would mean you may never work with your best friend Thunderbolt again!"
"Lucky, please!" Patch shouted. "Will you calm down?! Just because I now have a girlfriend doesn't mean I'll be less focused on my job. Trust me, it won't be just like what happened at work before when I had Amber on my mind. For some time, I have become a new and improved one-of-a-kind wonderdog. I have become more responsible and hard-working. I have learned to keep my priorities straight. And besides, why should I worry so much about Priscilla when she doesn't even have any of the same problems that Amber used to have?"
After what Patch just said, Lucky stopped to think it over for almost twenty seconds before he can respond again. Patch was right; there was no way that Priscilla could be homeless and without a family like Amber was, because she was seen wearing a collar with a tag and a ribbon tied to a bow on each ear, and she did mention her mother to Patch.
"Yeah, you're right," Lucky said after taking a deep sigh. "It's not like Priscilla doesn't have a home or a family, which Amber didn't have before. Priscilla is wearing a collar with a tag, just like us. And she did tell us that her mother doesn't want her to come home late. So, that all proves that Priscilla does have a home and a family, which means you have nothing to worry about."
"There you go!" said Patch, now becoming annoyed. "You managed to get it all into your head! I mean, how thick can you guys really be?"
"Patch, take it easy, all right? We just wanted to make sure that Priscilla doesn't have any problems which will cause you to worry so much about her, so that you'll be able to stay focused at work. That's all."
"Yeah, I know. Well, at least there's nothing about Priscilla that I have to worry about. I really need to keep myself focused and start working harder. I can't let my family and everyone at work down again."
"That is what we want to hear from you. Don't forget, Patch, that just because you now have a girlfriend doesn't mean you can just daydream about her at work all day."
"I know, Lucky. I have it all under control. After all, I always go to work everyday except on the weekends, which is perfect because that's when I'll get to spend some time with Priscilla."
"Excellent. You got work on weekdays and time to spend with Priscilla on the weekends. That is perfect, and very well organized, I might add."
Patch and his family and friends then heard their masters calling them.
"Pongo, Perdy, get all the pups ready!" Roger called. "We're going home!"
"Thunderbolt, Lightning, Amber, let's go!" The producer called.
Just as Thunderbolt, Lightning, and Amber got up to return to the producer, Thunderbolt looked down at Patch to say one more thing to him before he leaves.
"See you at work tomorrow, Patch," said Thunderbolt. "Now, make sure you get enough sleep tonight when you get home. We all gotta work a lot harder starting tomorrow if we're gonna make a spin-off for Lightning possible."
"Right, Thunder!" Patch answered. "I'll make sure to be prepared for that by tomorrow morning."
As Thunderbolt left the park with Amber, Lightning, and the producer, Patch gently placed his front right paw on the cheek where Priscilla kissed him.
"I know I'll be prepared for another day with Priscilla," said Patch softly, still feeling fond of the kiss he received.
"Can't get enough of that kiss your girlfriend gave you, eh, Patch?" said Rolly, smirking.
Patch blinked and gained back his composure.
"Yeah, well, what's wrong with that?" said Patch sharply as he removed his paw from his cheek and stomped it down on the grass.
"Huh?" Rolly gasped. "Oh, nothing."
Pongo and Perdita watched their pups returning to them and their masters, with Pongo counting them as usual. Patch was the last pup to rejoin the family.
"Okay, I believe we have everyone," said Pongo. "Now, let's all go home."
Pongo looked down at Patch and gave him a smug look.
"You too, Romeo," Pongo said to Patch, and he picked Patch up by the collar with his teeth. "Let's go."
As Patch is being carried by his father, his siblings once again managed to control themselves from erupting with laughter.
"Dad, why are you doing this to me?" Patch complained. "I can walk like everyone else!"
"I think your father is doing the right thing, Patch," said Perdita. "We thought that you'll more likely stay behind and spend more time enjoying that kiss Priscilla gave you, and that's why your father is carrying you home."
Patch scowled at his mother.
"All right, children," Perdita said to the pups, "come along. It's time to go home."
The entire Dalmatian family left London with Roger and Anita, Patch still being carried by Pongo.

Chapter Two: Working Harder
***
Another Monday morning has come. As usual, Patch woke up early, got washed and groomed for work, and ate his breakfast. During his morning routine, he did not even bother to stop for a second to think about Priscilla, for he has to start working even harder at his job with Thunderbolt and Lightning today. There is no way he is going to let the thought of Priscilla slow him down and lose his concentration at work. After he finished eating his breakfast, he walked out of the house and sat next to the car, waiting patiently for Roger to take him to work.
Almost a minute later, Patch heard Roger calling him.
"Okay, Patch, time to go," said Roger as he approached the car.
Patch lets out a few barks from the other side of the car. Roger strides over to find Patch there.
"You're always ready, aren't you?" said Roger, and he opened the door for Patch. "Well, then, shall we get going?"
Patch jumped into the car and onto the seat.
"All right, then," said Roger as he closed the door. "Let's go! You've never failed to be ready for work, now, have you?"
Roger went back to the driver's side of the car, hopped on, and drove off to the studio in Kent where Patch works with Thunderbolt.
On the way to the studio, Patch tried his best to keep his mind on his job and off Priscilla. He found that easy to do during the drive as he stares blankly through the windshield in front of him. Roger noticed this when he looked down at Patch.
"All right there, Patch?" asked Roger.
Patch blinked at the sound of Roger talking to him. He looked up at Roger and let out a few happy barks.
"Well, that's funny," said Roger, facing forward again to keep his eyes on the road. "For a moment there, it looks like there's something wrong. Well, let's hope there isn't, because you've got another big day ahead of you in the studio today."
Patch was afraid that Roger would say that. He has a bad feeling that Priscilla will come to his mind anytime and mess him up while he works in the studio. For the rest of the drive, Patch came up with another way to keep his mind clear off Priscilla; rather than staring blankly through the windshield, he thought of the success he made on his very first episode with Thunderbolt in order to keep himself relaxed. Patch was able to keep himself calm and his mind cleared by the time he and Roger reached the studio.
"Okay, Patch," said Roger as he takes Patch out of the car and into the studio. "Now you have a good day today."
As soon as Patch entered the studio, he saw Thunderbolt and Lightning on the other side and went over to meet them.
"Good morning, Patch," said Thunderbolt. "Did you get a good sleep last night?"
"I had a lot of sleep last night," said Patch proudly, "and now I'm ready for another day on the job."
"Very good! Precisely what I want to hear."
Patch now faces Lightning.
"Are you still hoping that we'll have a spin-off starring you, Lightning?" asked Patch.
Lightning lets out a chuckle. He never thought that the chance of having a spin-off of The Thunderbolt And Patch Adventure Hour with himself as the star would be mentioned again without receiving a word about it from the producer first.
"Funny you should ask," Lightning responded to Patch's question. "I wasn't even gonna think about it again until the producer tells us that it'll happen. But since you just asked if I'm hoping we'll have a spin-off, I have to say that I am."
"You are?" said Patch.
"Of course, I am. But I've got to keep my mind off that right now."
"Just like I now have to keep my mind off Priscilla."
Lightning gently placed his front left paw on Patch's right shoulder.
"Look on the bright side, kid," said Lightning. "You'll still get to see Priscilla every weekend. My hopes of us getting a spin-off, of course, will really take a long time to happen. Or maybe it will never come through, even if we did do a good job on the next season of this show."
"I believe that a spin-off of our show will come through," said Thunderbolt, smiling down at Lightning. "The producer may come up with that idea soon. You never know."
Lightning nodded his head with some confidence.
"Yes, Thunderbolt, you're right," said Lightning. "It is possible that the producer could come up with the idea of us having a spin-off himself and tell us all about it. All we have to do now to hopefully make it happen is work very, very hard."
"Right," Thunderbolt agreed, "and working really hard is what we're about to do starting now!"
From that day forward, Patch, Thunderbolt, and Lightning worked very hard on rehearsing for new episodes of The Thunderbolt And Patch Adventure Hour. As they work on the next episodes of the show, Patch managed to keep his mind off Priscilla, and Lightning did not waste a single second to think about having a spin-off starring him. Thunderbolt was very proud of how hard Lightning and Patch had been working on completing the next episodes of the show for the next three weeks. The entire crew was even impressed at how the next episodes turned out after they were recorded.
At the end of each of the three weeks, Patch and his family gathered around the television in the living room and watched the new episodes together as always; and Patch and his siblings let out huge cheers for his outstanding performance and use of teamwork with Thunderbolt and Lightning at the end of each new episode. To make things even better for him, Patch meets Priscilla and plays with her for almost two hours every weekend when he is taken to London for a walk in the park with his family and friends.
It is now a Saturday that concludes the third week of Lightning's return to television. Patch and his family met Thunderbolt, Lightning, and Amber at the park in London, and they all talked about the episode of The Thunderbolt And Patch Adventure Hour aired the previous night while waiting for Priscilla to come and see them.
"Last night's episode was fantastic!" Patch said to Thunderbolt and Lightning excitedly.
"It really was!" said Lucky. "Lightning sure played a really big role on that episode, did he?"
"He sure did!" said Penny. "It was terrific seeing him rescue Patch and Thunderbolt after Dirty Dawson escaped from jail and dognapped them."
"Every episode Lightning appeared in after he came back on the show were amazing!" said Rolly. "Each new episode he appeared with Thunderbolt and Patch makes the show even better!"
"I guess all that hard work really paid off," said Patch.
"Yes, Patch, it did," said Thunderbolt, and he turned to face Lightning. "I guess with all that effort we've put on the show after you were hired again, Lightning, our producer could be coming up with the idea of making that spin-off you've been hoping for."
"I have a good feeling that our producer really will think about making a spin-off," said Lightning. "Every new episode we make, the ratings keep getting higher. I guess all the fans of the show are really starting to like me as much as they like you and Patch, and it's all thanks to the producer giving me a much bigger role on every episode after he took me back."
Thunderbolt gently patted Lightning on the back.
"And I'll bet the ratings are going to be even higher, Lightning," said Thunderbolt. "All the fans of Patch's and mine have become fans of yours for the past few weeks, including Priscilla."
"Speaking of Priscilla," said Patch, "here she comes now."
All of Patch's family and friends turned in Patch's direction to see Priscilla coming to the park.
"Yep," said Lucky. "It's Priscilla, all right."
"Now, you've got some time to spend with your girl again," said Rolly, and he playfully nudged Patch closer to Priscilla. "Go ahead, you lucky wonderdog, you!"
Patch then took a few steps closer to Priscilla.
"Hi, Priscilla," said Patch.
"Hello, Patch," said Priscilla. "Last night's episode of your show is the best one so far."
"I think that episode is the best one myself. My family likes it the best, too."
"It was absolutely brilliant that they have Lightning play a much bigger role on the show, wasn't it?"
"Yes, it was, and all the fans of the show have liked Lightning more than ever."
Patch's siblings agreed as Lightning nodded with confidence.
"That was something I wanted to happen all along," said Lightning. "When I was the sidekick on the show, it bothered me a lot that I had to be pushed to the side while Thunderbolt took all the action. But now, those days are over. I've finally gotten the respect I should've gotten in the first place, just like Thunderbolt and Patch did."
"And you really do deserve to have that respect from the fans," Thunderbolt said to Lightning, "after getting your job back and working very hard lately. I'm very proud of you." He looks at Patch. "And I'm very proud of you, too, Patch. You've worked so hard that you deserved some more time with your girl."
"Oh, yes," said Patch, and he gazed into Priscilla's eyes as he let out a loving sigh. "For doing a really good job at work, I definitely deserved to spend today and tomorrow with the most beautiful girl I ever met."
"Oh, Patch, that's so sweet," said Priscilla, blushing pink.
"Will you find it sweet when I do this?"
Patch slowly kissed Priscilla on the right cheek the same way she kissed him on the day they first met.
"Wow!" Priscilla shouted cheerfully after she received her kiss from Patch. "Just like the kiss I gave you the other day!"
"I just don't find it right if I never kissed you in return," said Patch.
Priscilla leaned her head against Patch's left shoulder.
"I think you're one good kisser," said Priscilla, slowly closing her eyes.
"Well, I myself don't know how good of a kisser I am," said Patch. "I've never really kissed a girl before. This is my first time. But I'm glad you love it when I kissed you, and I think you're one good kisser, too."
Patch's family and friends happily watched Patch and Priscilla get close together. This moment ended after ten seconds when Pongo approached the two pups.
"So, Patch," Pongo smirked, "I'm thinking that you and Priscilla will have a good future together, eh? Right now, you're probably thinking about getting married and starting a family. Maybe you're thinking about living in a nice mansion or a huge castle. You may be even thinking about having a lot of pups, and teaching them everything you've learned from your mother and me. Maybe your future pups will--"
"Oh, will you just shut up?!" said Patch impatiently.
This caused everyone else to burst out laughing. Patch and Priscilla were laughing. Patch's siblings were laughing. Thunderbolt, Lightning, and Amber were laughing. Even Perdita was laughing. They all laughed because of what Patch just said to his own father. As the laughter continues, Pongo glared at Patch, for he never had one of his own pups telling him to be quiet in a very rude manner. After a moment, however, he calmed down and laughed with the rest of the group. This moment was just about the same as what happened on the day Patch first met Priscilla; back then, he was confused for a moment about how Patch started to think about girls when he immediately went over to meet Priscilla after catching sight of her for the first time, which caused the rest of the group to burst out laughing, but then calmed down right after that and just enjoyed watching the two pups play with each other.
"Well, at least let me just say one more thing," Pongo said calmly to Patch. "Maybe your future pups will not learn inappropriate language from you."
"Just like Patch learned that kind of language from you, right, Pongo?" said Perdita, and she gave Pongo a little nudge on the front left leg.
Pongo stared at Perdita in disappointment.
"You didn't need to mention that, Perdita," said Pongo, feeling a little upset.
The rest of the group continued laughing, except the laughter became much softer than it was a moment ago. Although it upsets Pongo that Perdita revealed that he presumably used bad language in front of his children before, he managed to keep calm and admit that it was true. It seemed evident that Patch learned such language from his own father when the Dalmatian family were living in a flat in London and watching The Thunderbolt Adventure Hour on the night before the pups were first kidnapped by the Baduns; that night, Patch said that he liked to tear Dirty Dawson's gizzard out as he attacked the rug, causing Perdita to ask him where he heard such talk and glare at Pongo, who did nothing about the situation but smile.
After Pongo's mistake about using bad language with his pups within earshot was mentioned, Patch learned that he must try not to make that same mistake if he manages to have pups of his own in the future. However, Patch is not going to think about what will happen if he becomes a father and have any children at the moment, because he currently has a job to focus on more than ever, since he is instructed to work even harder to earn a spin-off for Lightning. But for now and the next day, he gets to take his mind off his job and spend some time with Priscilla. There are some things that can make Patch really happy, and being with his girlfriend is one of them.

Chapter Three: Taking Lessons In A Mansion
***
While Priscilla is having fun with Patch and his family and friends, there is an adult female Dalmatian having herself groomed in a mansion, which is just three blocks away from the park. The adult female Dalmatian has solid black ears and a regular spot pattern with all her spots very small and perfectly round. She also wears a blue collar with emeralds around it. The name of this Dalmatian is Claire.
"Lovely," said Claire, looking at her reflection in the vanity mirror after she was finished being groomed. "Very lovely. Just in time for my daughter's lessons for manners and etiquette."
Claire walked out of the room where she was just groomed and went down a spiral staircase to get to the mansion doors. Once she got to the doors, she sat down, waiting patiently for someone to enter the mansion through them.
"She should be walking through those doors in fifteen seconds," said Claire, staring at the doors during the wait. "Twelve seconds. Ten seconds." She waited another seven seconds for the doors to open and someone to step inside the mansion. Nothing happened. "Three, two, one..."
A second after Claire counted down to one, one of the doors creaked open. Entering the mansion through that door was Priscilla.
"Ah, Priscilla," said Claire. "You've come back inside just in time, my daughter. Come, now. It's time to practice manners and etiquette."
Priscilla sighed at this. Everyday, she was given lessons for manners and etiquette, and her mother had been pressuring her to get everything she was taught done right the first time on her lessons. It was beginning to annoy her, but she decided not to tell her mother that, for it could cause her to end up in trouble.
"Yes, Mother," said Priscilla, and she followed her mother to the dining room.
Wondering what she will be doing first on her lesson that day, Priscilla climbed onto a chair at the dining room table covered in linen, while Claire sat at the opposite side of the table on a chair facing Priscilla. The two Dalmatians each have a glass bowl filled with kibble placed in front of them.
"Now, Priscilla," said Claire, "it's very important for a lady to have good manners at the table. The first thing about it that you must learn right now is how to eat properly. When you eat your kibble, you must take one little bite at a time. I'll demonstrate."
Claire leaned toward her bowl, took a small mouthful of kibble, chewed it with her mouth closed, and swallowed it.
"That is the proper way to eat," said Claire. "Now, let's see you do the same--"
Claire was cut off by the sight of Priscilla eating her kibble the opposite of what she just said, which is how a regular dog normally eats kibble. This caused Claire to look disgusted and not at all pleased at her daughter not eating her kibble the way she just taught her.
"Priscilla!" Claire shouted as she pounded a front paw on the table, causing Priscilla to stop eating. "Have you not been listening to anything I said just now? Have you not been watching me demonstrate on how you should eat your kibble? I told you, little bites! One bite at a time! Look at this mess! Look at you!"
About twenty to thirty pieces of kibble from Priscilla's bowl are scattered all over the linen tablecloth. Priscilla looked at the mess she made with wide eyes and cheeks filled with kibble. She felt embarrassed that she made that mess while taking huge bites of her kibble at once and chewing with her mouth open when eating without even listening to her mother on how to eat properly.
"Sorry, Mother," Priscilla said with her mouthful.
"The next thing you must learn about having table manners," said Claire sharply, "is to not talk with your mouth full!"
Priscilla quickly swallowed the mouthful of kibble and let out an uncomfortable laugh.
"Sorry, Mother," Priscilla repeated. "I just got hungry after having some free time outside."
Claire glared at her daughter for a few seconds and took a deep sigh.
"Oh, Priscilla," said Claire, sounding disappointed in Priscilla, "how are you going to learn how to eat like a lady if you eat like some wild animal without paying attention to what I'm trying to teach you?"
"I said I was sorry, Mother," said Priscilla. "Besides, that's how other dogs eat."
"But that's no way for a dog to eat in this mansion. Next time I teach you how to eat properly, I expect you to pay attention. Do I make myself clear?"
"Clear as crystal, Mother."
"Good. Now, let's move on to our next lesson."
About five minutes later, Claire and Priscilla were in the music room. The phonograph is playing classical music, while books are stacked on Priscilla's head. Priscilla feels very uncomfortable about having to balance a stack of books on her head on her next lesson for manners and etiquette, as she always lost balance and fell flat to the floor, causing all the books on her head to collapse all over her; this happened everyday when she was given her lessons. The music playing from the phonograph also sounds tiring to her; it was played everyday, and she does not like the sound of classical music, but Claire always enjoyed it.
"The next important thing a lady needs to learn is to have a good posture when standing, sitting, or walking," said Claire. "Balancing these books on your head will help you get a good posture."
"Mother, you know I'm not gonna get better at this, no matter how hard I try," said Priscilla, struggling to keep a single book from falling off her head. "Everytime I start walking with these books on my head, I fall down, and all the books fall on me."
"Now, Priscilla, this is practice. It's important that you keep practicing on this. The more you practice, the better you get."
"Okay, Mother, but why do I have to do this while listening to classical music? You've played it everyday, it sounds very boring, and it's not helping me focus on this lesson."
"Priscilla, this music helps many others focus on lessons for manners and etiquette. Besides, this music is a masterpiece. Now, stand up straight and walk around the room."
Priscilla did as she was told. She stood up straight and started walking around the room, trying to keep the stack of books on her head from slipping and falling all over her. She was finding it even more difficult to walk straight while balancing the books on her head, because the books became unsteady, causing her to wobble around the room.
"Keep yourself straight, Priscilla," said Claire. "A bit slower, and a little more steady. It must be formal. Don't slouch. Your walking must be done perfectly."
As Priscilla continued walking, she tried to keep a straight posture and walk at a slow and steady pace, but balancing the stack of books on her head as she does this is still a problem for her. The stack of books moved back and forth a few times until it tipped over, causing Priscilla to lose her balance. She then fell flat to the floor and all the books she was balancing on her head collapsed all over her as always, while the phonograph stops playing the music.
"Oh, my goodness, Priscilla!" Claire groaned as she showed disapproval by lowering her head and slapping a front paw on it. "You're nowhere near getting better at this!"
"I tried to tell you that I'm not gonna get better at this, no matter how hard I try," said Priscilla as she pushed all the books off her and stood back up, "but you wouldn't listen. Balancing those books on my head while walking around the room just to get a good posture is a pain!"
"Enough! Looks like we're gonna have to do this all over again tomorrow! We're now moving on to our next lesson, and it should be easy enough for you to learn it perfectly today!"
Three minutes have passed, and Claire and Priscilla are now in the drawing room for yet another lesson.
"All right, Priscilla," said Claire, "I'm very positive that you are gonna do this one right. This lesson is about making conversation with guests. When you have guests over, it's important that you make eye contact with whom you're talking to and smile during a conversation. Not smiling or making eye contact when you're having a conversation with a guest is considered rude; you really need to make a good impression when you have company, so don't forget that."
"Yes, Mother," said Priscilla.
"And don't forget to use some certain phrases that shows your guests that you have manners while you're making conversation with them, such as 'please', 'thank you', and 'excuse me' for example."
"I'll remember that as well, Mother."
"I hope so. I really don't want you to mess this up. Now, let's have a seat and begin the lesson."
Claire and Priscilla sat down on the sofa to start a conversation for this lesson, but Claire looked upset when she saw Priscilla not sitting properly.
"Priscilla," said Claire, glaring at Priscilla, "you're not sitting like a lady should. You need to be seated properly when you're talking to a guest in the dining room or here in the drawing room. It's rude to slouch."
"Sorry, Mother," said Priscilla, and she sat up straight and directed her eyes towards her mother.
"That's better. Now, let's pretend that I am your guest. Remember, at the beginning of a conversation, you and your guests must use phrases such as 'Hello', 'How are you?', and 'I'm well'. Now, you start the conversation."
Priscilla is now thinking of what to say at the start of a conversation. She fears that she might blurt out the wrong words without thinking twice about what she is going to say first, which would cause her mother to be very upset with her, so she knew she had to choose her words carefully in order to make a good impression on this lesson. After a moment of coming up with how to begin a conversation, she finally thought of it and hoped for the best. After all, it cannot really be that difficult to begin a conversation with a guest over; it should be as simple as just saying hello.
"Hello, madam," Priscilla said kindly, pretending that her mother is her guest and trying to keep smiling throughout the conversation. "Welcome to our mansion."
Hearing how Priscilla began the conversation, Claire showed approval by nodding at her.
"Why, thank you, Priscilla," said Claire, playing the role of Priscilla's guest. "This is a very lovely home you have here."
"Thank you, madam," said Priscilla. "How are you?"
"I'm well, thank you. And you?"
"I'm well myself, thank you. Would you like some tea?"
"No, thank you, Priscilla."
"All right, then. Well, dinner will be served in an hour. Would you like to stay and eat with us tonight?"
"Oh, yes, please. Would you like to come and visit me at my home tomorrow?"
"Yes, please, madam."
Claire showed approval of the way Priscilla made conversation nodding at her again and applauding by lightly and repeatedly tapping her front right paw over her front left one.
"Very good, Priscilla," said Claire. "That's a nice way to begin a conversation with a guest. Now, I'd like to make this lesson a bit more interesting so in case a guest comes, you would have more to talk about to get to know each other better."
Priscilla wondered how her lesson of making conversation with a guest can be made more interesting for her, but Claire did not have to even take one second to think about how to make that lesson more interesting, because the last thing she said just gave her an idea.
"I know!" Claire exclaimed happily. "I will find a pup your age who is a gentleman. I will invite him over here for the next time you take this lesson."
Priscilla believes that it will not be necessary for her mother to find a pup who is a gentleman for the next time she takes the lesson of making conversation with a guest, because after hearing the idea her mother came up with, she already knew the perfect pup who can take part in that lesson; that pup without question is Patch.
"I think I know someone who can help make the lesson interesting," said Priscilla.
Claire stared at Priscilla for a few seconds, amazed that Priscilla already knew a pup who can make the lesson of making conversation with a guest more interesting for her.
"You do?" asked Claire. "Who would that be?"
"It would be Patch," said Priscilla.
Claire was shocked at the sound of the name that Priscilla just revealed.
"Patch?" said Claire. "As in that Dalmatian pup who replaced Lightning as the sidekick on Thunderbolt's show?"
"Yes, Mother," said Priscilla, "that's him."
"The pup who saved his family from Cruella DeVil? The pup who does heroic deeds in the real world with Thunderbolt?"
"Yes, Mother. Yes, that's the one."
For a moment, Claire thought of what she just asked about the pup that Priscilla mentioned. When Priscilla answered yes to all those questions, Claire realized that her daughter sounded serious about this. She does not look pleased about it at all.
"Ha!" Claire scoffed. "Do you really think I'm gonna allow a wimpy pup like that participate in any of your lessons? Of course not!"
"But Mother," Priscilla argued, "I've been seeing him in the park with his family and friends on the weekends, and he's a very nice pup! He even fell in love with me the moment he first saw me, and we became boyfriend and girlfriend since!"
Claire became angry at what Priscilla just said.
"You what?!" Claire shouted. "You've been seeing him at the park and became his girlfriend? How could you be in love with a weak pup with a weak bark?"
"He's very nice to me, Mother!" Priscilla shouted back. "He's a hard worker! He's been making success on Thunderbolt's show, and he did a really great job saving people's lives from real dangers! He's not weak!"
"Now, you listen to me, young lady! Patch is not the right pup for you! You need a pup who is manly enough for you, and that pup is not Patch!"
Priscilla becme shocked at what her mother just said about Patch.
"Mother!" Priscilla gasped. "I can't believe you don't like Patch to be my boyfriend just because you don't find him manly enough! He cares about me, and he is very friendly! I like him for who he is, and he is a wonderful pup who can get along very well with anyone!"
"I've had enough!" snapped Claire. "Now, listen. Tomorrow, I'm going to find you a pup who will help you with your lessons starting then, and he'll be much more suitable for you than Patch. The pup I will be looking for will be very handsome, clean, manly, and well-mannered. And that pup will be your mate!"
Priscilla could not believe her ears when she heard that her mother will be looking for a pup who will not only help her with her lessons for manners and etiquette, but also be a manly pup who will be a more suitable mate for her than Patch.
"No!" cried Priscilla. "You can't be serious, Mother!"
"But I am!" said Claire sternly. "I don't like the idea of you having Patch as your mate. You should have someone much better. You are forbidden to see Patch ever again."
Priscilla felt angry that her mother will not allow her to see Patch anymore, yet at the same time, she felt sad that her mother sounded really serious about it.
"You're never letting me see Patch again?" said Priscilla, sounding as if she is about to cry. "But I love him! He's my boyfriend!"
"Well, starting tomorrow, he won't be your boyfriend anymore," said Claire. "He'll never be your mate, either. I'm very serious about that as well! Do you understand?"
At this moment, Priscilla knew that arguing more with her mother is not going to help matters. If the argument continues, Priscilla will be punished, and she does not want that to happen. She lowered her head and took a deep sigh, showing that she gave in to avoid getting into any trouble with her mother.
"Yes, Mother," said Priscilla sadly. "I understand."
"Good," said Claire, and she began to calm down after the argument.
Priscilla and Claire then heard a bell ringing from the dining room.
"Sounds like dinner is served," said Claire, smiling again as she got up from the sofa to go to the dining room. "Let's go, Priscilla."
Still feeling sad and upset that she is forbidden to see Patch ever again, Priscilla hopped off the sofa and followed her mother to the dining room for dinner.

Chapter Four: Priscilla's Guest
***
Patch and his family and friends were taken to the park in London by their owners again the next day. As usual, they spent the day laughing and playing with each other. After thirty minutes of having fun in the park, they all noticed that there is something missing. The first one to notice that was Lucky.
"Hey, I haven't seen Priscilla around here all day today," said Lucky.
The rest of the pups stopped what they were doing and looked around. There really was no sign of Priscilla anywhere in the park.
"Well, that's strange," said Patch. "She always comes here to see us every Saturday and Sunday since we first met her. I wonder why she's not here today?"
"No idea," Rolly shrugged.
"She couldn't be punished by her mother for getting home late yesterday, could she?"
Amber walked up to Patch and gently placed a paw on one of his shoulders.
"Maybe she's sick today, sweetie," said Amber. "If she is, I hope she gets well before the next time we come here."
"You're probably right, Amber," said Patch, and he let out a deep sigh and looked down at the grass.
Patch's family and friends silently stared at him, showing concern and wondering why Priscilla really did not come to the park to see them. The silence was broken about twenty seconds later by their owners calling for them.
"Pongo, Perdy, get all the pups over here!" Roger called. "We're going home!"
"Thunderbolt, Lightning, Amber, let's go!" The producer called. "There's a lot of work to be done at the studio tomorrow!"
All the dogs returned to their respective owners to be taken home. As they all leave the park, Claire was beginning to have a talk with a handsome, muscular male Dalmatian pup at the front lawn of her mansion. The male Dalmatian pup has no spots, wears a black bowtie, and is sitting down with his chest out, his stomach in, and his shoulders back.
"I'm very delighted to have found a gentleman my daughter's age who is very well-groomed, has an absolutely appropriate seating posture, and has an incredibly marvelous body build," Claire said to the pup.
"Thank you, madam," said the pup. "So, you told me that your daughter needs a pup like me to help her with her lessons for manners and etiquette, didn't you?"
"That is correct, young man. She has been having trouble getting things right in her lessons. I told her yesterday that her lesson in making conversation with her guests would be more interesting if a gentleman her age is invited over here to help her get it right."
"Well, I'll be very happy to be of help here. I've been taught those lessons myself, and my parents are proud of me for how well I've been doing in them. So, with me about to help her with her lessons, I'm positive that she will do much better and make you proud."
"I hope so. I really want to see her do everything perfectly in her lessons. It's very important for her to learn to be a perfectly well-mannered girl."
"Well, I would really like to see her, madam."
"And you will get to see her. So, let's go inside."
Claire pushed one of the mansion doors open and stepped inside. When the bowtie-wearing pup followed Claire inside the mansion, Claire pushed the door closed and showed him around. By the time she and the bowtie-wearing pup entered the drawing room, the bowtie-wearing pup spotted a framed picture of Priscilla hanging on a wall.
"Is the pup in that picture your daughter, madam?" asked the bowtie-wearing pup, and Claire turned around to see the framed picture he is looking at.
"Yes, she is," Claire responded. "Her name is Priscilla. Oh, and while we're on the subject of names, my name is Claire. What's yours, young man?"
"My name is Beauregard, but I prefer to be called Beau."
"Well, I'd like to welcome you to our home, Beau."
"Thank you, Claire, and I'd love to meet Priscilla."
"I'll get her down here for you. Why don't you have a seat and make yourself at home?"
"Thank you, Claire."
As Beau took a seat on the sofa, Claire walked over to the bottom of a spiral staircase to call her daughter downstairs.
"Priscilla, your guest is here!" Claire called out. "Come downstairs immediately!"
Priscilla is up in a room where she is sitting on a canopy bed and hugging a plush doll that resembles Patch. The room she is in is her own bedroom. She is very sad because of her mother forbidding her to see Patch again the day before, and finding a different pup to be her mate in the process. Claire did tell Priscilla the other day that the pup she finds more suitable than Patch will not only help her with her lessons for manners and etiquette, but will also be her mate. Now that Claire found a pup Priscilla's age who happens to be a gentleman and invited him into her mansion, Priscilla is reluctant to go downstairs and meet the pup. Not seeing Priscilla come downstairs to meet her guest is now causing Claire to lose her patience.
"Priscilla, get down here right now and meet your guest!" Claire shouted. "He's waiting to see you in the drawing room!"
Priscilla took a deep sigh, hopped off her bed, and slowly walked out of her bedroom and down the spiral staircase. As she makes her way downstairs, she hung her head in sadness, realizing that the pup she is about to meet is not going to be Patch.
"Get down here, young lady!" said Claire impatiently. "You shouldn't keep your guest waiting!"
Priscilla moved only a little bit faster as she continues making her way downstairs. After five seconds, Claire went up a few steps on the spiral staircase to call Priscilla downstairs yet again.
"Priscilla, if you're not down here in five seconds, then I will come up there and drag you down here myself!" yelled Claire. "Now, get down here and meet your guest in the drawing room on the double!"
Finally, Priscilla ran downstairs as fast as she can. She was able to reach the bottom of the spiral staircase four seconds after her mother's warning.
"That's much better," said Claire, starting to calm herself down as Priscilla makes her way to the drawing room with her. "Why did it take you so long to come downstairs the second I told you to do so?"
"I'm just upset that the guest I'm about to meet is not Patch," said Priscilla sadly.
"Now, Priscilla, I want you to be polite to your guest. This gentleman you're about to meet will be delighted to help you with your lessons for manners and etiquette after your first meeting with him."
Just as Claire returned to the drawing room with Priscilla, Beau saw love in his eyes. He is happy that he now got the chance to actually meet Priscilla. Priscilla, however, does not look too thrilled about meeting him.
"Here's my daughter," Claire said to Beau, and she then faced Priscilla. "Priscilla, I'd like you to meet our guest. His name is Beau."
"Hello, Priscilla, you're looking mighty lovely," said Beau, and he smiled gorgeously at Priscilla.
In response, Priscilla smiled uncomfortably and took a few steps back.
"Um, thank you," said Priscilla, not sounding enthusiastic about seeing Beau.
Priscilla looked back to see Claire get her to make conversation with Beau by beckoning her to him.
"Um, you don't look too bad yourself, Beau," said Priscilla, still feeling comfortable about meeting Beau as she walked to a chair that is about six feet away from the sofa that Beau is sitting on and sat down.
"Thank you, Priscilla," said Beau. "I just love it when a lady compliments me on how much of a handsome Dalmatian I am."
Claire went over to the chair that Priscilla is sitting on.
"Excuse me, Priscilla," said Claire, "but I believe it would be better if you would sit on the sofa with Beau."
Priscilla blinked at what her mother is telling her to do.
"Mother, do you really think I should go over there and sit next to Beau?" asked Priscilla, jerking her head at the sofa that Beau is sitting on. "I don't think that's a good idea. I just don't feel comfortable with sitting next to him."
"Go on, Priscilla," Claire urged her daughter. "Go. You need to be closer to your guest. Now is the time to see how well you'll make conversation with your guest."
Not wanting to anger her mother by not doing what she was told to do again, Priscilla hopped off the chair and walked to the sofa to sit next to Beau.
"Thank you," said Claire, taking a seat on the chair that Priscilla just got off, while Priscilla climbed onto the sofa to sit next to Beau. "And remember to mind your manners."
As she was taught the day before, Priscilla sat up straight, directed her eyes towards Beau, and smiled at him. Just before she began to make conversation with him, she took a few seconds to think carefully of how to start a conversation correctly. Trying to start a conversation correctly is now a bit more difficult for her than before, because she is about to practice making conversation with an actual guest instead of her mother pretending to be a guest. She finally thought of how to start a conversation with Beau and hoped that it would not make her mother very upset with her in front of the guest.
"Good afternoon, Beau," said Priscilla kindly. "I am glad that you could come over. Welcome to our home."
"Thank you, Priscilla," said Beau. "I am glad to be here in your beautiful mansion."
Beau moved himself a little closer to Priscilla, which caused her to feel very uncomfortable. When Beau got himself close enough to have his front left leg touch Priscilla's front right leg, Priscilla became even more uncomfortable and started shaking.
"But I'm even more glad to sit right here with you," said Beau, rubbing his left cheek against Priscilla's right shoulder. "Not only are you the most beautiful thing in this mansion, but you're also the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on."
Claire smiled at this, while Priscilla started to get angry with Beau.
"Hey, stop it!" Priscilla shouted as she pushed Beau off her with her front paws. "Hasn't anyone told you that it's rude to do that to a lady?"
"Priscilla!" Claire gasped. "I must let you know that it is rude to shove a guest!"
"Beau was the one being rude to me first, Mother!" Priscilla retorted. "He touched me and rubbed me!"
"Oh, dear, I'm very sorry," said Beau apologetically as he sat back up. "I just don't know what had gotten into me."
"It's quite all right, Beau," said Claire kindly, and she turned to face Priscilla and scowl at her. "Now, young lady, there are some ways you can do to politely make someone stop doing something you don't like. What do you have to say for yourself?"
"What do I have to say for myself?" said Priscilla angrily. "All I have to say is that if there's anyone who will be allowed to do that to me, it's going to be Patch!"
"Oh, for goodness sake!" Claire groaned as she showed disappointment by lowering her head and slapping a front paw on it.
"I apologize, Priscilla," said Beau kindly. "I just couldn't help it when I gazed upon your beauty."
Priscilla hopped off the sofa and sat at the opposite side of the drawing room on a chair facing Claire to have herself about six feet away from Beau again.
"Mother, I do not like that you have Beau come over," said Priscilla sharply.
"Priscilla, you need a gentleman here to help you with your lesson in making conversation with a guest using manners," said Claire impatiently. "And anyway, it looks like this young man is beginning to have feelings for you."
"Yes, Claire, I am," said Beau. "I didn't mean to cause any discomfort to your daughter, but she is just so beautiful that I can't help but fall in love with her."
"Yes, of course," Claire said to Beau. "In fact, I told my daughter yesterday that the gentleman I'd find to help her with her lessons will also be her mate."
Beau became very happy to hear what Claire just said to him.
"You told her that, Claire?" Beau asked with enthusiasm.
"Yes, Beau, I did," said Claire.
"Oh, Claire, I really want to thank you for inviting me into your home and pairing me up with your daughter."
"You're very welcome, young man. I really wanted my daughter to have a mate who is well-mannered, well-groomed, and manly enough for her."
"Yes, I seem to have figured that out when I heard her mention Patch."
Beau and Claire turned to face Priscilla and glare at her, causing her to feel uncomfortable again and swallow hard.
"Did I hear you correctly, Priscilla," asked Beau. "Did I hear you mention Patch?"
Priscilla took a deep sigh before answering Beau, wishing that she had never mentioned Patch in his presence.
"Yes, Beau, you heard me correctly," said Priscilla curtly. "I did mention Patch."
"As in the pup with the squeaky voice when he does Thunderbolt's heroic bark?" asked Beau.
"His voice doesn't sound squeaky when he does that bark anymore, but yes, that's the one. He became my boyfriend the day I first met him at the park."
Beau turned to face Claire.
"It's not true," said Beau, and he stared at Claire in silence for three seconds before he spoke again. "Is it?"
"I'm afraid it is, Beau," said Claire, nodding her head.
Beau bursted out laughing at the fact that Priscilla has a pup like Patch as his boyfriend.
"Oh, Priscilla," said Beau, trying to calm himself down from his laughter, "that is just plain ridiculous! Why would you ever want to be with a weak, pathetic pup like him?"
"Patch is not weak or pathetic!" said Priscilla angrily. "He's wonderful, brave, sensitive, a great hero when he saved many lives right here in London, and a very hard worker at his television career with Thunderbolt! He's very nice to me, Beau, and he really loves me for who I am just like I love him for who he is!"
"I know that he is the type of pup who does not deserve to have a gorgeous girl like you."
"I can't believe you, Beau! You're just starting to sound like my mother!"
"And I believe he should!" barked Claire. "He just told you what I told you yesterday. I did say that Patch is not the right young man for you because he is not manly enough. He shouldn't have been your boyfriend in the first place. I also told you yesterday that you are forbidden to see him ever again."
"Mother, that's not fair!" Priscilla cried as Beau smiled at the last thing Claire said. "You're forcing me to have someone I don't even like as my mate! I should be allowed to choose whoever I want!"
"Now, Priscilla, I do not want you to end up with the wrong pup! Beau is a much better pup for you!"
"No, he's not! He doesn't really love me!"
"That's not true, Priscilla," said Beau calmly. "I really do love you."
Priscilla took a deep sigh and took a moment to calm herself down before she can speak to Beau again.
"All right, then," said Priscilla, trying to keep herself from exploding with anger again. "Tell me everything you love about me."
"I love that you're beautiful," said Beau.
Priscilla waited for a few seconds to hear more of what Beau likes about her.
"And?" said Priscilla impatiently.
"And what?" said Beau.
Priscilla shook her head in disbelief at Beau's response.
"'And what'?" yelled Priscilla. "'And what'?! You mean to say that the only thing about me that you care about is my looks?!"
"Well, what else should I say?" asked Beau.
Priscilla lets out a very frustrated yell after what she just heard from Beau.
"Beau, I apologize," said Claire kindly, "but I would like to have a private discussion with my daughter before this gets even worse."
"Yes, Claire," said Beau, and he hopped off the sofa. "I'm very sorry about all this."
"Please, don't be. I just need some time to talk some sense into my daughter, and she will be on her best behavior the next time she sees you here, especially when she is working on her lessons for manners and etiquette with your help."
Claire hopped off the chair she was sitting on and led Beau to the mansion doors.
"Will you please come over tomorrow afternoon?" Claire asked Beau as she pulled open one of the mansion doors by the handle with her front left leg.
"Yes, Claire, I will," said Beau as he stepped outside the mansion. "Well, it's been lovely to have met you and Priscilla."
"It's been very lovely to have met you, too, Beau. Goodbye."
"Goodbye."
As Beau was on his way home, Claire pushed the door shut and went back to the drawing room to talk to Priscilla.
"Well, Priscilla, you've had me very disappointed in you," said Claire curtly. "You have been rude to your guest, and I was not expecting that kind of behavior from you."
"I really didn't want to meet him," said Priscilla stubbornly. "I was hoping that you'll invite Patch over to help me with my lessons. I even told you how kind he is. Beau is nothing like Patch."
"And Patch is nothing like Beau! He doesn't have the right voice or body build to be the right pup for you!"
"He doesn't need to have all that! I know that he is the right pup for me! I told you, he is kind, he helps anyone who is in danger in reality, and he really does care about me! He doesn't just love me because of my looks! He loves me because I'm being myself!"
"Priscilla, listen to me! I don't care what you say about Patch! He's not going to be your mate! I have forbidden you to see him ever again!"
"You can't just tell me who I should have as my mate, Mother! It should be my choice, and I say Patch is who I want as my mate, not Beau!"
"Enough, young lady! Now, I'm warning you, you are to never go to the park to see Patch or his family and friends. If you do, then you'll be punished."
Priscilla gasped in shock at what her mother just said.
"Punished?" said Priscilla, horrified.
"Yes, Priscilla," said Claire. "Punished. If you ever go out there and see Patch again, you will be put under eternal punishment."
"What?! Did you just say that I will be punished forever if I ever see him again?"
"Yes, I did. So, if you don't want to be put under eternal punishment, then you better not go and see Patch ever again."
"Mother, are you serious about this?"
"I am very serious about it, Priscilla. I am very serious. Now, I want you to go up to your room and stay there until it's time for dinner. That will give you enough time to think about how rude you have been to your guest and change your behavior."
Priscilla hopped off the chair she was sitting on and made her way to the spiral staircase she went down earlier. As soon as she stepped out of the drawing room, she stopped and looked back at her mother, looking as if she was about to continue arguing with her. Before Priscilla could even open her mouth, Claire beckoned her upstairs.
Priscilla faced the spiral staircase again and continued making her way up to her bedroom. As she walked up the staircase, she angrily stomped on the steps and shedded tears, feeling very upset about being put under eternal punishment if she ever goes out to see Patch again. Once she reached the top of the spiral staircase, she ran into her bedroom and pushed the door shut. Realizing that there was nothing she can do to change her mother's mind about what she said about Patch, Priscilla hung her head in sadness, slowly walked to her bed, and climbed onto it.
"Oh, Patch," Priscilla said quietly to her plush doll, "how am I ever going to tell you that my mother has forbidden me to see you ever again?"
Priscilla pulled her plush doll closer to her with her front paws to hug it and shedded one more tear.

Priscilla and Claire are being looked after by humans, but their humans are never seen or mentioned. And yes, Patch and his family come to London from Devon every weekend, and I do know that it's a long drive.
I'll see what I can do on the next chapter. Hopefully, I'll be able to get that chapter done a lot faster than I got this one done.

Chapter Five: Patch Meets Claire And Beau
***
Another week of work at the studio in Kent with Thunderbolt and Lightning went by very quickly to Patch. During that week, he had been more focused than ever when working on the next episode of The Thunderbolt And Patch Adventure Hour. Even during his breaks, he did not stop to think about Priscilla or what may have happened to her the previous weekend for one second. Although Thunderbolt and Lightning were very proud of Patch for his hard work, they had a strange feeling that there is really something wrong, and they and Amber privately discussed that on Friday night that week after the next episode was filmed and Patch was taken home by Roger. They planned to have a talk about it with Patch when they meet him and his family again at the park in London the next day.
The next day came. It was a bright and sunny Saturday. Patch and his family and friends met each other at the park in London as usual. Even though it was a bright and sunny Saturday, it only felt that way to Patch, while it felt as if it was a dark and gloomy day to his family and friends; Patch looked very happy that he is looking forward to see Priscilla again after a week's worth of hard work at the studio, while his family and friends looked very unhappy that they thought he had forgotten that Priscilla is supposedly still punished or sick after her absence the previous Sunday.
"Well, Patch, you seem happy today," said Thunderbolt.
"I am," Patch responded. "After all that hard work I did back at the studio, our show is doing better than ever, and I certainly deserve to spend another day right here in the park with my family, my friends, and Priscilla."
Thunderbolt took a deep sigh, knowing that what he is about to say next would sound upsetting to Patch.
"Patch, there's something I think we should tell you," said Thunderbolt softly, his ears flopped down.
Patch's happiness began to fade away when he heard the tone of concern in Thunderbolt's voice and saw the glum expression on his face.
"'We'?" said Patch gently, raising an eyebrow a little bit.
"Yes, Patch," said Thunderbolt. "Lightning, Amber, and me. The three of us had a discussion about it yesterday, and we really need to talk to you about it right now while we're all here."
"Okay, well, what is it that you guys want to talk to me about?"
"Well, I don't know how to say this, but--"
"But I do," said Lightning, and he took a few steps closer to Patch to talk to him. "Look, Patch, we're all happy that you've been more focused and working even harder back in the studio for the past week. The problem is, for the entire week there, you've been nothing but business. You haven't talked to me or Thunderbolt about anything but all the work we're putting into the show. This isn't like you. Are you feeling all right?"
Patch smiled weakly at what Lightning told him.
"The way I've been at the studio for the past week?" said Patch promptly. "Oh, yes. Yes, I'm feeling all right. I've just been putting in all that extra focus and hard work to get even higher ratings. We really want that spin-off for you, Lightning, don't we?"
Lightning let out a small chuckle and shook his head a bit to show that what Patch just said is not the real reason why he had been focusing on his job at the studio much more than usual lately.
"That's not the real reason why you've been working a lot harder at the studio that week, is it?" asked Lightning. "It must really be something other than ratings for your show."
Patch knew that Lightning was right. Making an increase in ratings for The Thunderbolt And Patch Adventure Hour was not the real reason why Patch had been more focused on his work at the studio than usual. In fact, Lightning believed that it had everything to do with Priscilla; Thunderbolt and Amber believed that as well.
"Well, okay," Patch began to confess. "I've been spending the entire week making myself a lot more focused and working a lot harder at the studio to completely keep my mind off Priscilla."
This caused most of Patch's siblings to become a little upset.
"Aha," said Lightning after he heard that what he believed about what has been going on with Patch at the studio was true. "I knew it. So, it does have something to do with Priscilla. Thunderbolt and Amber had that feeling that it had to do with Priscilla, too."
"Patch, I don't understand," said Lucky. "Why were you trying to forget about Priscilla?"
"Yeah," said Freckles. "She's your girlfriend. We thought you love her."
"I do love Priscilla, you guys," said Patch, his voice shaking with frustration, "and I'm not even trying to forget her. I mean, I know I've been thinking a lot less about her lately and completely keeping my mind off her as the week went by, but that doesn't mean I'm trying to forget about her. I've just been more focused and working a lot harder than ever at the studio because I have to be very responsible. I have a job there with Thunderbolt and Lightning, and I just can't let them down. If I started thinking about Priscilla while I'm working, I would end up daydreaming about her the entire day, I would forget what I was supposed to do, and everyone would get mad at me and yell in my face for not doing my job. I just didn't want any of that to happen. So, to make sure it does not happen, I just completely kept my mind off Priscilla during my lunch breaks. If I started thinking about her during that time of the day, I would still get everyone mad at me for not doing my job, because once I start thinking about her, it'll be hard for me to get the thoughts about her out of my head. Let's be realistic here, it's not easy for anyone to do whatever job they have while they have someone they love on their mind, so I just did what I had to do."
Patch's family and friends stared at him in complete silence for almost ten seconds, which was enough time for them to realize how hard it is for him to have a job and a girlfriend and think about both of them at the same time while dealing with one or the other.
"We understand, Patch," said Penny. "It is hard to be put to work while you're thinking about it and your girlfriend at the same time, but you don't have to think about work right now. It's Saturday, you're here at the park with your family and friends, and you should be more concerned about your girlfriend now."
"Penny is right, Patch," said Rolly. "You should be more concerned about Priscilla right now instead of your job. Remember last Sunday when she didn't show up here to see us? Some of us thought that she was sick, and some of us thought she was punished by her mother for getting home late the day before that. And maybe she's still either sick or punished now."
Patch had completely forgotten that Priscilla never came to the park to meet him and his family and friends that Sunday. Now that Rolly reminded him about it, Patch also realized that he and his family and friends still have not found out why Priscilla never came to the park to meet them that day. They did not know if Priscilla was really either sick or punished by her mother for getting home late that day, and Patch's curiosity of what really happened to her is causing him to think that enough was enough; if Priscilla is still really either sick or punished after almost a whole week, then Patch will think about searching all over London to look for her so he can ask her for the real reason behind her absence.
"You know what?" said Patch. "You're right. Priscilla didn't come here last Sunday. It's possible that she was either sick or punished for getting home late that day. If either one is true, she could still be either sick or punished today."
"Wait a minute, Patch," said Lucky. "Maybe Priscilla is neither sick nor punished today, and she is on her way here to see us right now."
"No, she usually comes here earlier than what time it is now. There's no way she could be late or have forgotten to come here today. Looks like I'll just have to go to her home and find out why she didn't come to see us the last time we came here."
"But we don't know where she lives."
"Then I'll go and look for her. I'll search all over London, and I won't stop until I found her."
Patch took off to begin his search for Priscilla, but Lucky rushed over to stop him.
"Patch, wait!" said Lucky as he stepped right in front of Patch to block him. "There are many places here in London, and you won't have enough time to search them all before Roger and Anita call for us! Priscilla could be anywhere!"
"I really need to know what happened to Priscilla!" said Patch. "I don't care if it's time to go home before I found her, I'm not leaving London until I found her and she tells me why she didn't come to see us the last time we were here!"
Patch rushed past Lucky and began his search for Priscilla. During the search, Patch's family and friends looked at each other, wondering what will happen if Roger and Anita called for all their Dalmatians when it is time to go home, and later found out that Patch is missing. Pongo and Perdita were very worried about Patch when they found out that he was missing on the family's first day at their home in Devon; they cannot risk something like this to happen again by going home without him and not realizing that Patch is still searching all over London to look for Priscilla until it is too late.
"You guys," Lucky said to his family and Patch's friends in a worried tone, "Patch is not going to have enough time to search every place in London to find Priscilla! Roger and Anita will be taking us home any minute! If we go home with Patch still here looking for Priscilla, and they find out that he is not home with us, then they will panic and come back here to spend the entire night looking for him again!"
"Well, you know Patch does have us, his family and friends," said Penny. "Since we're here in London with him, I say we help him look for Priscilla."
"Yes, we should," said Pongo. "If we help Patch find Priscilla right now, we might be able to find her before Roger and Anita call for us."
"You're right, everybody," said Thunderbolt. "We should all help Patch search every place here for Priscilla and get this done much faster. We'll be able to find her this way, and our pets won't get upset with us for staying out here too long. Now, let's spread out and start searching!"
Patch's family and friends split into several smaller groups and searched many different places in London to help find Priscilla. After five minutes of trying to find Priscilla, Patch did not have any luck.
"Priscilla!" cried Patch, running to another place to look for Priscilla. "Priscilla! Where are you?! Please, say something!"
Patch stopped searching and waited to hear back from Priscilla after making calls for her, but no response. Priscilla was not even anywhere in sight after his calls for her. Feeling more worried of what might have happened to her, Patch continued to search places in London for Priscilla.
"Priscilla?!" Patch called out, becoming even more worried after he searched yet another place and still having no luck finding his girlfriend. "Priscilla!"
Patch searched two more places for Priscilla, yet he did not find her in either one of them. Not being able to find Priscilla anywhere in London is making Patch become extremely worried and frustrated that he tightly closed his eyes, shook in horror, and turned to his left, looking as if he was about to let out an angry scream and attack someone.
"PRISCILLA!" Patch screamed at the top of his voice, not noticing that Lucky is right in front of him, as his eyes are still closed tight.
Lucky winced at Patch screaming in his face. About two seconds after his loudest call for Priscilla, Patch quickly opened his eyes to finally see Lucky right in front of him; this caused him to let out an uncomfortable laugh.
"Sorry, Lucky, I didn't see you there," said Patch, feeling embarrassed for screaming his girlfriend's name in Lucky's face without noticing he was right in front of him the whole time.
"It's okay, Patch," said Lucky. "Just calm down. We're all helping you look for Priscilla."
"You are?"
"Yes. We thought it would take a long time for you to look for her alone, so why not have your family and friends help you? It's much faster and easier this way, and it could increase the chances that she will be found before Roger and Anita can take us home."
Patch was happy to hear that his family and friends are helping him look for Priscilla. He became very relieved when he looked past Lucky's right shoulder to see the others search many different places in London to find his girlfriend.
"Thank you," Patch said to Lucky. "All of you helping me look for Priscilla is making me feel good. It'll make me feel even better if she's found."
"Don't worry, Patch," said Lucky. "She will be found."
Now feeling much less worried, Patch smiled and nodded his head at Lucky. The two pups continued searching more places with the rest of the family and Patch's friends. Meanwhile, back at Priscilla's mansion, Priscilla and Beau are sitting down on the front lawn and making conversation with each other; it seemed that Claire must have let them have some time alone with each other out there so they can get to know each other much better and get some fresh air as they do so. Priscilla was not enjoying her time with Beau, but Beau was definitely enjoying his time with Priscilla.
"You know, Priscilla," Beau said to Priscilla with a very gorgeous smile on his face, "I just couldn't help telling you how beautiful you look."
Priscilla sighed, not thrilled about hearing Beau talk about her beauty, since that seems to be by far the only thing about her that he ever talks about when he makes conversation with her.
"I know," said Priscilla dully as she turned her head away from Beau. "It really annoys me just having to hear you telling me what you think of my looks and nothing else."
"Oh, but it's still true that you really do look beautiful," said Beau. "Think of the pups that you and I will have one day; we'll have about ten or twenty of them, and they will be just as beautiful as you and me."
"I don't think so. If I were to have any pups of my own, I would have them with Patch, not you."
"Now, Priscilla, do you remember what your mother said on the day I first met you? She said that Patch is not the right pup for you. She chose me to be your mate, and she said that you are forbidden to see Patch ever again."
This caused Priscilla to stop and think about the warning that her mother gave her on the day she first met Beau.
"Well, Mother told me that day that I will be punished forever if I go out and see Patch ever again," said Priscilla sadly.
"Did she really say that?" said Beau, surprised at what Priscilla just told him.
"Yes, she did, and that's just not fair! I want Patch to be my mate!"
"Your mother just wanted you to have a mate who is well-mannered, well-groomed, and manly enough for you."
"I don't care who my mother wants me to have as my mate. I want someone who is kind, who is caring, and who likes me for more than just my looks, and that would be Patch; he has those qualities and you don't."
Just as Beau opened his mouth to answer Priscilla, he was stopped from letting out a syllable by the sound of someone calling out Priscilla's name.
"Priscilla!" echoed Patch's voice. "Priscilla, where are you?!"
Priscilla gasped at the sound of Patch's voice echoing for her.
"Patch?" said Priscilla quietly.
"Don't respond to that echo," said Beau, placing his front right paw on Priscilla's left shoulder. "I believe I know who that is. It's Patch calling for you. Imagine what kind of punishment your mother would give you if she hears you answer him."
This caused Priscilla to look down to the ground in disappointment. She really wanted to see Patch again, but Claire had forbidden her to do so just because she does not find him manly enough for her, and things got even worse when Beau took Claire's side and was chosen by her to be Priscilla's mate. It is just not fair that Priscilla is forbidden by her mother to see Patch ever again, and that she will receive eternal punishment if she even answers his calls for her, let alone go out to see him and his family and friends at the park again.
"Priscilla!" Patch's voice echoed again. "Can you hear me?"
As Patch's calls for Priscilla continued to echo, Claire looked out an opened window of a second story room of the mansion to check on Priscilla and Beau, and to make sure Patch is nowhere near her home. She then gets a surprised look on her face when she heard the echoes of Patch's calls for Priscilla come closer.
"It can't be," Claire said to herself, shocked.
"Priscilla!" Patch's voice echoed yet again, sounding as if it is coming closer to the mansion, which caused Claire to poke her head through the open window and look around to find where the source of the echo.
Beau scowled at the sound of Patch's voice echoing Priscilla's name, hoping that Patch would not find Priscilla and where she lives. But before Beau, Priscilla, and Claire could even blink, they saw Patch running towards the mansion.
"No!" Claire gasped, and she ran out of the room, down a spiral staircase, and through the front doors to stop Patch from even setting foot at the front lawn. "You, there! Stay back, young man! Don't come any closer!"
Raising an eyebrow at this, Patch took a few steps back. When he completely stopped, he spotted Priscilla with Beau on the left side of the front lawn.
"Priscilla!" Patch gasped, relieved that he finally found his girlfriend, yet upset that he found her with another male pup.
"Don't you dare go near her!" said Claire sharply, moving herself right in front of Patch to block him from getting near Priscilla.
Patch's family and friends then hurried to find him near Priscilla's mansion.
"Patch!" Lucky called out as he and the rest of the group approached him. "Have you found Priscilla?"
Patch turned around to see his family and friends behind him.
"Yes, she's right there near that mansion," said Patch, jerking his head at where Priscilla is, and he turned to face Claire again. "But this Dalmatian is stopping me from getting to her."
Patch's family and friends turned to face Claire, who was looking down at Patch with an evil glare, causing him to feel uncomfortable and shake in fear a little bit.
"Who are you?" Patch asked Claire.
"I am Claire, Priscilla's mother," said Claire.
Patch was surprised to hear that Claire is Priscilla's mother; by the way Claire stopped Patch from getting near Priscilla and looked down at him with an evil glare, he never would have figured that out.
"You are Priscilla's mother?" asked Patch.
"Yes, I am," said Claire. "My daughter told me that you are her boyfriend."
"That's right. I am."
"Well, I will have you know that I have forbidden her to see you ever again."
Patch gasped in shock at what Claire just said. His family and friends became shocked at this as well.
"You what?" said Patch angrily, now realizing why Priscilla did not come to the park to meet him and his family and friends the previous Sunday. "You told Priscilla that she is not allowed to see me anymore? Is that really why she didn't come to see me at the park last Sunday?"
"It certainly is," said Claire. "When she told me that she became your girlfriend on the day you two first met each other, I just knew that was a big mistake."
"Why?"
"I just don't find you manly enough, that's why."
Patch scoffed at what Claire just told him, while his family and friends looked at each other in shock and turned to glare at Claire.
"What do you mean, you don't find me manly enough?!" said Patch, exasperated.
"I mean that you are a wimpy pup with a weak bark and probably no manners at all," said Claire, causing Patch and his family and friends to drop their mouths open in shock. "I'm sorry to insult you, Patch, but my daughter does not deserve to be with a pup like you. She is learning manners and etiquette, and I truly believe that she will do much better with a manly and well-mannered pup helping her. I found this pup the day after my daughter first told me about her relationship with you. This pup is well-groomed, well-mannered, has a well-built body, an appropriate seating posture, and is the pup I chose to be my daughter's mate."
Patch and his family and friends are definitely not pleased about this at all. They do not find it fair that Claire does not accept a kind and caring pup like Patch to be Priscilla's mate and chose a pup that she finds to actually be manly enough for her daughter instead.
"No!" Patch shouted.
In a second, Beau took a few steps from behind Claire to reveal himself to Patch and his family and friends.
"Yes," said Beau calmly as he stepped in front of Claire to direct his attention to Patch. "That pup would be me."
"Patch, this is Beauregard," said Claire. "But he prefers to be called Beau."
"Good afternoon, Patch," said Beau. "It's nice to finally meet you."
But Patch has no time to show any form of being polite to Beau. After all, he came over to see Priscilla, as he had been worried about her after not seeing her at the park the other day he was there with his family and friends.
"It's nice to meet you, too, Beau," said Patch, obviously not interested in talking to Beau, "but it'll be nicer to meet Priscilla. I came here to see her again."
Patch walked past Beau and looked behind Claire to see Priscilla still sitting on the front lawn, but Priscilla started to take steps back from Patch as soon as she saw him approaching her.
"No, Patch!" cried Priscilla, causing Patch to stop taking any more steps closer to her. "Didn't you hear my mother? She said I'm forbidden to see you ever again!"
Hearing this, Claire and Beau turned around to see Priscilla turning away from Patch.
"Very good, Priscilla, very good," said Claire, smirking at Priscilla keeping herself away from Patch. "I'm glad to see that you're learning to stay away from that weak, pathetic pup."
Patch cringed when he heard Claire insulting him again.
"Claire, will you stop insulting me?" said Patch angrily. "Just because I'm not manly like Beau is doesn't mean I'm pathetic or weak! I'm a nice pup, and I work very hard on my television career and really saving lives from real danger."
"Patch, that still won't change anything," said Beau. "Besides, with you working with Thunderbolt most of the time, Priscilla needs someone who will spend every single day with her. So far, you've only seen her on the weekends, and that's not enough. Since I was chosen by Claire to help Priscilla with her lessons for manners and etiquette, I get to see her everyday."
Beau smirked, delighted that he gets to see Priscilla more often than Patch ever did, thanks to Claire choosing him instead of Patch to help her with her lessons for manners and etiquette and to be her mate.
"Do you even like Priscilla?" Patch asked Beau.
"Like her?" Beau responded. "I love her."
"It's too bad that I don't love you back," Priscilla said to Beau in a tone that Claire finds disrespectful, not bothering to even turn her head back to look at Beau as she said this, "since the only thing you care about is how beautiful I look."
"Priscilla," said Claire sharply.
Patch turned to look at Priscilla, who still did not bother to turn around to look at anyone, and then turned to face Beau again after five seconds of complete silence.
"Is that true?" Patch asked Beau. "You only love Priscilla because of her looks?"
"Well, what do you expect?" said Beau. "The beauty of a girl is the one important thing that attracts a boy to her. Now, don't tell me you didn't feel the same way when you first met Priscilla."
"Well, I believe I did, but that day, I actually took the time to get to know her much better. Each day I saw her after that, I've cared about her kindness and her friendship with my family and friends, and not her looks. I think you should try thinking about that as well, since you're helping her learn manners and etiquette anyway."
"Oh, I'll love her for more than her beauty, all right, just as soon as she completed all her lessons. By then, Claire will have what she always wanted, which is a very well-mannered daughter. And by then, I will have a mate who is beautiful and very well-mannered."
Hearing this, Claire smiled pleasantly at Beau.
"Looks like it'll take you much longer to think about any other qualities Priscilla has besides her beauty than it did for me," said Patch.
"Patch, just forget it," said Priscilla suddenly.
Patch, Claire, and Beau turned to look at Priscilla, surprised at what she just said to Patch; Claire and Patch were happy to hear this, while Patch was very disappointed. Priscilla still did not bother to turn around to look at anyone.
"What?" said Patch quietly, approaching Priscilla.
Priscilla finally turned around to face Patch.
"I'm sorry, Patch," said Priscilla sadly, "but I have no choice. I can't be your girlfriend anymore. As you know, my mother had forbidden me from seeing you ever again. And if I go off to see you again, my mother will put me under eternal punishment."
Patch and his family and friends could not believe their ears when they all heard Priscilla reveal to Patch that she will be put her under eternal punishment by her mother if she goes off to see him again. They never saw anyone who would punish his or her offspring forever just for seeing someone else with good qualities and without unnecessary qualities that the parents themselves would approve.
"No," said Patch quickly, shaking his head, and he looked up at Claire. "Claire, you wouldn't--"
"But I would, Patch, and I am very serious about it," said Claire darkly. "I told Priscilla the other day that she will be put under eternal punishment if she sees you again. But now that you and my daughter just saw and spoke to each other just now, I have chosen to let this go just this once, since she was just telling you that she can't see you anymore and what would happen if she did. Now, it's time to say goodbye forever."
Reluctant to say goodbye forever to each other, Patch and Priscilla looked at each other glumly, knowing that there was nothing else they can do.
"Well," sighed Priscilla, "goodbye, Patch. Looks like you'll have to find another girl who will love you just like I do."
"But I don't want another girl," said Patch. "I want you."
"Yes, I know, but there's no choice. We can't see each other ever again."
Patch looked down to the grass, wondering whether his and Priscilla's lives would become better or worse without the two seeing each other anymore. He then came to believe that his and Priscilla's lives would definitely become worse from living the rest of their lives separately, but he chose not to say his thoughts of it aloud, as the only thing Claire wanted to hear from him is goodbye. So, in the end, Patch gave in.
"It's going to be tough living the rest of my life not seeing you again," said Patch resignedly.
"You will manage," said Priscilla, "and so will I. I really want you to be my mate and not Beau, but I have to respect my mother's wishes. I don't want to get in any more trouble. I don't want to be punished."
Patch nodded his head, indicating that he clearly understood everything Priscilla told him.
"I understand, Priscilla," said Patch softly. "I'll keep my distance from you from now on. I don't want you to get into trouble, either."
The conversation came to an end when the voices of Roger, Anita, and the producer echoed.
"Pongo, Perdita, it's time to go!" called Roger.
"Let's go, pups!" called Anita.
"Thunderbolt, Lightning, Amber, we gotta go!" called the producer.
After hearing the calls from Roger, Anita, and the producer, Patch realizes that there was nothing more he can say to Priscilla except goodbye. He did not want to leave Priscilla, but he also did not want to get her into any trouble with her mother or make his family and friends get upset with him for making them and himself late to be taken home. He closed his eyes and lowered his head, feeling more sad than ever.
"I love you, Priscilla," said Patch, his eyes filling with tears as he opened them again to look at Priscilla. "Goodbye."
And without saying another word, Patch rushed over to his family and friends to go home, shedding tears as he did so.
"It's all right, Patch," said Perdita gently as she stroked Patch's back to comfort him. "Come on. Let's go home."
Patch and his family and friends turned away from Priscilla's mansion so they can head back to their masters. Patch did not even bother to stop and look back at Priscilla; he just kept walking with his family and friends until they all made it back to the park where their masters are waiting for them. As Patch and his family get taken home by Roger and Anita, and his friends get taken home by the producer, Priscilla sadly stared at them, since she knows that this is the last time she will ever see them, particularly Patch.
"Good girl," said Claire softly, patting Priscilla's head. "You did what you had to do. Now, let's go inside. It's almost time for your lessons."
Priscilla, Beau, and Claire headed toward the front doors. On their way to the doors, Priscilla started to shed tears, and Claire and Beau both smirked, satisfied with Priscilla telling Patch that they can never see each other again and what would happen if they did. Both doors were still open after she went through them to stop Patch from getting near Priscilla about five minutes earlier, so it is not necessary to push them open now.
"After you, Priscilla and Beau," said Claire kindly, gesturing the two pups to get inside the mansion.
"Thank you, Claire," said Beau.
Priscilla said nothing, but stepped inside the mansion, still shedding tears in the process.
"Wait for me in the drawing room," Claire said to Beau the second Priscilla stepped inside the mansion. "I'll be in there in a moment."
"Yes, Claire," said Beau, and he followed Priscilla inside the mansion and made his way to the drawing room.
Claire poked her head through the open doors.
"Priscilla, I want you to wait for me in the drawing room as well!" called Claire.
Again, Priscilla said nothing. Claire became upset that Priscilla did not respond after she allowed her to be the first to go back inside the mansion and told her to wait in the drawing room, and not responding to those is obviously considered rude. However, despite this, Claire is now more focused on Patch. She pulled her head back outside and looked around to check if Patch is gone along with his entire family, all of his friends, and all of their masters; she also raised an ear to check for their voices. After ten seconds of not seeing or hearing Patch and everyone else he was with, Claire became happy to find out that they are all gone and not near to come up with a plan to sneak into the mansion to secretly see Priscilla again.
"Goodbye, Patch...forever," Claire growled quietly.
Claire went back inside the mansion, pushed both front doors closed, and went to the drawing room to meet Priscilla and Beau so she can begin another afternoon of giving lessons for manners and etiquette.
