Next Chapter to Final Game
Enjoy ;D
The long night continued to press on.
The resistance members just sat alone together within the orange of the glow lamp, and the blueness coming from the screen of a beaten up computer.
As they rested quietly; a small scratching noise came from the hole; “That must be Squad F coming back from patrol.” Nuke said “I hope they brought Cookies!” Sip smiled.
Kendra peered over to the hole to see who’d come out of it.
Out of it merged four dogs, most of them were (yet again) Dalmatians; One of them was male, rather tough looking and was wearing a rucksack on his back: His ears were both black and within his eyes shone sparkling russet pupils.
He was followed by another Dalmatian, this time female. She looked exactly like Beyonca except that instead of having heart shaped spots were plain circular spots instead, this one was Two-Tone. Locks and Beyonca strangely kept their distance from her at all times as soon as she entered.
The next was (for once) not a Dalmatian, but a Doberman. He looked more muscular than the rest but the expression on his face looked like he didn’t care much about anything.
Finally yet another Dalmatian popped through, female like the second one, but this one had rivers of tears running down her cheek, she kept on muttering the words “He’s gone. He’s gone”
“Where is Data?” The brown eyed dog said, “Same place as always.” Kit replied “Inside the computer.”
The dog walked towards the computer and gave it a hard whack, a small piece of green electricity sparked from the blue screen and before Kendra’s eyes, yet another dog appeared.
“What do you want Drake?” it said “I have a lot of; very important stuff to do.”
Drake just reached into his rucksack and pulled out a small sparking collar. “This failed to work!” he growled towards Data “You said this collar would be able to control Frenzy’s rage mode.”
“As it does.” Data nodded.
“Well it didn’t work tonight.” Drake raised up his eyebrows “This device failed to work, and as a result we’ve ended up with Frenzy, Luna, Kasey and Ace’s death!”
The crying female sniffed “Ace was everything to me!” she sniffed “And now he’s gone!” her tears soon broke out like a massive tsunami; she soon had to be comforted by Two-Tone.
“You see Data?” Drake continued to snarl “Many loved people have died; and it’s all because your stupid collar malfunctioned.”
Data rolled his eyes “I don’t care about you or any of your friends; I’m just here as this Sirius has gotten in my way for the annihilation of all mankind, and that was a big mistake.”
Tac nodded towards Data “True. I’m reluctant to this movement, but I’m not giving this guy a chance to dispose of Lucky before I do.” Two-Tone just stared at Tac with an “Oh no you’re not.” Look on her face.
Data went on “Anyway; whilst you were out, doing your pathetic recognisance, I on the other hand have been able to hack into one of Sirius’s main computer frames.”
Kendra instantly sprang to attention “You did!?” she understood “What were you able to crack?”
“Just look at the screen.” Data shifted his eyes to the direction of the computer, the resistance stared at it.
On the screen, flickered red outlines that seemed to form the shape of a satellite. “The Atized Network.” Data explained “Seems that happens to be Sirius’s greatest weakness.”
Kendra read off the screen as Data went on “More than one hundred satellites in orbit broadcasting some sort of signal called the “Telepathy scan” travelling through people’s minds deleting all forms of revolutionary thoughts.”
“That’s why there’s little resistance…” Two-Tone realised “It’s broadcasting a signal that keeps people scared.”
“Can’t we just take them out?” Nuke suggested, Tac just replied sarcastically “Yeah! If we had our family’s amount in ground to air missiles, shall I pop down to the shops and buy a few?” Nuke snorted but Tac went on “Besides any military action and those Engelador things descend.”
“They’re not called that.” Kendra spoke up “That’s just a name Sirius made.”
Tac raised his eyebrow at Kendra “Alright, what are they then?”
“That’s why I can; to find you.” Kendra answered “Know your enemy.”
Kendra then un-strapped Sirius’s collar from her neck, as she held it in her paws; she typed a few digits in on the small keypad on the side. Suddenly a green light shone from a small hole and in the lights path appeared; a purple disk.
“No one’s been able to see those spheres close up.” Kendra explained “They can’t even be scratched, except once; a lightning strike near a Hollywood tower brought one of them down, just out of the blue. The readings are on this disk.”
Tac instantly grabbed the disk from the table and inserted it into a slot of the computer.
In that instant the screen started popping up all these letters, a small hour glass replaced the cursor and the computer froze up.
“The impossible has happen…” Tac shouted out loud “…We miss Bill Gates!”
“Is that why you travelled the world?” Drake asked “4 Years…just to find a disk?”
Kendra shook her head “No, just got lucky.”
“I heard you walked the earth; trying to build a weapon.” Tac muttered, still gazing at the rotating hour glass, Kendra simply closed her eyes; remembering what Doc had asked of her all those years ago.
“Ah Ha!” Tac shouted triumphantly; knocking Kendra out of the daydream “We’re in!”
A small black text box appeared on the screen and within it, an amount of blue text blipped up. Tac scrolled down the page until he found the row titled “Weather Records for October 31st” Kendra pointed the column showing Hollywood, and Tac read out loud the details “An electrical bolt charged with a volt of 121,000,013 volts exactly.”
“Can you recreate that?” Kendra asked, Tac responded with a smile on his face “Of course I can, I’m brilliant.”
Drake then called out “Valria!?” and out from under some sheets emerged a dog who had a slight hint of emerald in her fur (If it even was fur) “Yes, What is it?” she asked with a strange accent, “We need your gun.” Drake responded “W we’re going to get ourselves a sphere.”
Soon outside in a dark alleyway, Valria held a small device in her grip. It lavished with a silver gleam and an almost spherical shape.
As the alleyway remained silent as it was dark, Valria saw three flickers of a torch light come from an opening and on that cue; she pulled the trigger.
For a split tense of a second; the whole alley lit up with a high pitched screech and a beam of green shooting up into the sky like a firework. A sudden vroom was heard and Valria started to run.
As she ran down the alley; a hoary sphere chased after her. During the chase; others watched and started running to signal, when the signal reached Kendra she yelled out to Tac “She’s almost here!” You ready!?” Tac was quickly connecting a whole tangle of wires in to two gigantic leads linking to a wall with a group of what looked like lamps attached to them “You do your jib, I do mine!” he shouted back in response.
Resistance members ran passed the lamps until Valria was the last through. “NOW!” She screamed; and on that mark, Tac placed the two leads together. Electricity surged through the cables and in straight to the wall; launching a high fence of electric bolts straight across. As the sphere flew into the bolts; its entire shell flickered with electric sparks that flew onto the floor until; bang, it fell onto the floor, Tac took the leds apart ceasing the flow of electricity.
As it rested silent on the ground; members of the resistance looked down at it, Valria still aiming her gun straight at it.
“That’s only the tricky part.” Tac said with a grin in his face “Now children, let us find out what’s inside.”
Up on high; on board the odyssey, Doc had been put into a small glass drinking cup that hung in a small corner of the bridge; like a bird trapped in a cage.
Down below in the brig; Clayton had been chained up again with Lucky, Cadpig, Patch, Fidget, Wizzer and Dipstick sharing his cell. As they sat in their bundle; Lucky growled “I’ll get him…” he said “Even if I have to wait 101 years. I’m going to kill Sirius. One day he won’t look where he’s going, and I’ll be there…”
“No.” Patch shook his head “I’ll do it. I swear to you, I would rip that dog to spreads and not leave a single piece large enough for an ant.”
Cadpig joined in next “I’ll get him…even if it kills me.” Patch grabbed Cadpig and looked her in the eye “No Cadpig.” He said softly “Not in the state you’re in.” Cadpig pushed Patch away “No Patch.” She said “I will do it. He killed one of the most interesting humans I ever met and then one seventh of Earth, all in less than 10 minutes. I don’t take killing well, but I do take revenge really well.”
“I’d shot him stone dead.” The others turned; Dipstick was looking through the bars and out of a porthole down the corridor, a small tear running down his cheek,
“Dipstick?” Fidget spoke confused “What’d you mean?” Dipstick turned back to face the others.
“You heard me!” he said “I am going to make sure that he’ll go to a place that’s worse than Hell.” His voice rang with a tearful sound “He has killed so many people and has ruined the lives of everyone, especially me!”
His tears continued to flood through his eyes “Do you know what sort of life I could of led if it weren’t for him?” I haven’t even told Dottie that I love her yet! We could have had kids together!” his face then turned to a scowl “You have my word…he’s dead.”
Sirius stepped on to the bridge with Nosax and approached the small dog in the glass.
“Tomorrow we launch Doc.” He said “We’re going to open up a field of black holes in the Boeshane Peninsula. Won’t see us coming, Kind of scary!”
“Then stop!” Doc spoke with a croak in his voice.
”As soon as we’ve established the empire, and there’s a new Dog Star in the heavens, maybe then; it’ll stop.”
All of the moment a small hovering noise came zooming down the corridor and through the door; flew one of the spheres. As it rested down on a small perch attached to the table it chanted “Tomorrow we fly, Tomorrow the war, Tomorrow we rise, Never to fall.”
“See!” Sirius snarled pointing to the sphere “I’m doing it for them! I don’t see what everyone has a problem with, I mean; they love them…all so very much!”
Tac scratched a pen knife upon the shelling of the disabled sphere “There’s a small magnetic clamp to it…” he said “…But I think I just might be able to trip…” a small click was heard and Tac smiled “Got it!”
He then pushed the sides way and opened up the sphere up like a Satsuma. When he finished; he gasped “Oh my god!”
The resistance members stepped over to look inside only to be disgusted by what they saw.
Within the sphere; an old silky and wrinkly face was strecthed out across the framing. Wiring was plugged into every possible place and the mouth was replaced by a big voice transmitter box.
As the resistance continued to stare; the eyes opened, either making everyone scream or jump out of their furs.
“Oh lord, It’s still alive!” Two-Tone panted for breath, suddenly; the transmitter box flickered a cobalt glow and a voice was heard.
“K, Kendra.” Kendra looked at the face confused “It knows you?” Kit looked at Kendra with deeply concerned eyes.
”Sweet kind Kendra.” The sphere went on.
“How’d you know me?” Kendra asked.
“You gave me good times.”

“How does it know you?” Locks went in next and soon everyone started asking questions until Kit asked “Kendra, who are they?”
Kendra looked at Kit, her face mixed with many elements of shook, sadness and fear.
“They’re us!” she answered “Their Dogs. The canine race from the future…”
