I'm reading the original book at the moment. I'm going to try to finish it before Easter. When I'm done, I'll write up my review on it here.

I far as I know their are two novels the first being The 101 Dalmations which the movie is based off of. Then there was a sequel called *ponders momentarily* The Starlight Bark. I read both of them a while back and if I can hunt them down after I finsh moving I'll reread and post a review. If your counting childerns story books also your guess is as good as mind I've got like 10 different versions of the story.

I've read both of the original novels, and they're well worth it! In 'The Starlight Barking', Cadpig grows up to be the dog of the Prime Minister!

My dad just order the original novels as my birthday presents in this morning. They're coming in two weeks.

I have both of them. I've read "The hundred and one Dalmatians". It really impressed me, it's even better than animated movie. The animated movie definitely misses Perdita and Prince, Cruella's cat, two Nannies, Mr. de Vil etc... I've bought "The starlight barking", but still haven't read it. I'm going to do it this summer, as well as watch the series.... I want to start reading when I'm completely carefree, to be totally devoted to 101 Dalmatians....
