Facts
This story is told by Clayton in a Stream of Consciousness. Quite similar to how Kit writes his stories.
Continuity
The story could be set after the series as multiple episodes are mentioned
This takes place some time after Hesso; Kit & Olwe have joined the farm, while at the same time, a few months before Kit leaves.
This could also be set before Racefans story “Eyes of the Beholder” as it shows him carrying engine parts, possibly for his monster truck.
Possible set a while after Corgis story; Reconciliation as it is shows the new name of the Thunderbolt show to be “Thunderbolt & Lightning”
Inside References
The story also jokes on how even though it is a farm filled with over 100 animals; you were still able to get the four main pups completely isolated on some farm areas in the series.
Clayton comments on it being about time they made new Thunderbolt episodes. This plays on the fact that usually when a story or rp is done which happens to include Lucky, he happens to be watching a rerun.
It is fully stated that Nukes partner is Bridget. Usually when people write stories, they say Jewel is Nukes Mate. While Nuke has told me that Bridget is in fact his official mate.
A relation between Hesso & Iris could be mentioned.
The running joke with no one being able to remember Crosswises name is played on where Clayton thinks he is called Clockwise.
Lucky telling everyone to go against Tac yet few pups believe him is stated too.
It is mentioned that while Rolly seems to be able to eat an entire trough full of kibble in the series, he never seems to gain any more weight or look any fatter.
The Mouse getting the last piece of Kibble was taken from the 101 episode “Chow About That”
Wizzer calling Moochs jokes “good ones” is set into example in the episode “Bad to the Bone” where that makes up 90% of his background lines along with laughing.
A friendship of Olwe with Jamie & Nemo is stated.
Claytons feelings on his close friends being like brothers to him (maybe due to he never knew his real siblings) is mentioned.
This gives a first hand experience of what it’s like to be pounced by Nuke.
Nuke gives his “Rawr” catchphrase
Reference to my IM RP with Corgi “Thunderbig & Large Lightning” could be seen while Phillip stretches his arms to show a big size possibly the rp story the episode he saw being filmed.
Kit refers that he came up with a song on the piano which he would like to show Clayton. This was foreshadowing a story Kit was going to write but hasn’t gotten around to doing it yet.
Nuke teasing Kendra & Kit sometimes happens in RPs.
Clayton states that Lucky & Patch got Thunderbolt on DVD.
Clayton finishes the story by making references to the 101 episodes
“Citizen Canine”, “Frisky Business” & “Out to Launch”
He then plays on the fact that while it is stated that the fair few characters who seem to know all about the whole “Lucky VS Tac” affair for some reason also are known to be VERY good friends with and always stick up to Lucky along with doing his every bidding.
The term of “Kissing Luckys Butt” was said by Phillip & Clayton in a conversation in an rp I did Corgi.
The part where Clayton mentioned being deafened by the television volume being loud also took place in the same RP where Lucky did so.
Outside References
The movie “Bolt” is referred to and gives a few spoilers of the actors for Bolt and Penny being replaced at the end of the film.
Clayton quotes the title for the play “Waiting for Godot” where two characters seem to be waiting for a man called Godot. After two hours of the shows duration, Godot never arrives in the play.
Behringer guitar was a name on an electric guitar I happened to see at school.
Clayton refers to Rolly to have a black hole stomach. Similar to the stomach of Kirbys.
The scene where Clayton talks about the mouse man were lifted from a monologue my drama teacher wrote for a group I was in for a show which later lead us into doing a sketch about Abba as pensioners.
The line about the date going well or being hell was also lifted from the same monologue.
Deleted Scenes
there was a deleted scene where Clayton sees Belchic & Tippy doing a trench coat disguise, before he rants on how the Trench Coat disguise has been done, overused, bored, and not really a good disguise as a short man in a trench coat and comical glasses trying to sneak around on a farm filled with animals sticks out like a sore thumb.
I decided not to put that part in as i didn't know how to fully put it, Along with *cough* thinking of complaints i will get.
Feedback
This story received extremely good feedback.
Hesso found the story awesome and liked the episodes built into the story.
Gameshowpup found it a great fic.
Kit thought i had some pretty good phrases and loved how i gave a first hand experience of Nuke's pouncing.
Puffy found it very good and especially liked Clayton telling off Lucky at the end for being addicted to Thunderbolt Re-runs.
Corgi found it Excellent. He commented how he liked how it perfectly describes a common day in the farm, it's more, describes how even in a over populated farm one can be bored…
Belchic found it interesting but got upset why none of his characters showed up.
Nemo commented how she was not usually one for fanfics, but said i did a pretty good job with this one.
Slayer found it pretty cool and looks forward to seeing more stories from me.
RacefanXs found it brief but great. He liked how I got the characters down good.
