Think it was more a low budget then lazyness. But it might be a mixture of those two.

I was going through the shed yesterday where i found a few 101 books which came out when my mum was young.
According to one the original 15 pups names are (in the 1961 movie version)
Penny, Lenny, Salter, Pepper, Jolly, Rolly, Patch, Latch, Spot, Dot, Blob, Blot, Blackie, Whitey and Lucky.
Unoriginal some of those names are eh?
However with this new evidence, books, movies and series my guess for all their names are
Lucky, Rolly, Cadpig, Patch, Jewel, Wizzer, Dipstick, Two-Tone, Penny, Freackles, Pepper, Salter, Blackie, Whitey and Fidget.

Seven years later, here's a reply... XD
In my mind, I noticed that most, if not all, of the 15 original pups have names based on their spot orientation or other physical traits. For example: Lucky is named for the horseshoe-pattern on his back, Wizzer has a weak bladder, Fidget has fleas, and so on and so forth. The only ones I don't see getting their names from their spots would be Rolly, Cadpig, Penny, and Missy (Missy from the book, "Proud to be a Pup") Personally, I tend go by names that don't sound or aren't spelled similarly, coincide, or form analogies with each other, such as Whitey and Blackie, Pepper and Salter, and so on... Of course, that's probably for comedic purposes, but the way I see it in my mind, each of the Original 15 have unique names that don't coincide with another of the Original 15's names. I also went by names of various pups from the merchandise as well, so my guess for the Original 15 Pups are:
Lucky, Patch, Jewel, Rolly, Cadpig, Penny, Dipstick, Wizzer, Two-Tone, Freckles, Pepper, Fidget, Missy, Inky, and Bravo. (Both Inky and Bravo are names from 101D plushies/merchandise)
Believe it or not, a lot of analysis went into this! XD
Reason I went with those last two names is because they're just names that I think Pongo and Perdita would've chosen as their pups' names, going by the assumption that most of the pups got their names based on their spots. I also like to think that Inky and Bravo as names were probably Pongo's idea... XD I was considering using the names Sport, Scooter, Spark, Speedy or Harvey, but I didn't... I also didn't go with any names that were stereotypical for a Dalmatian, other than Patch or something, such as Dot, Blob, Blot, and such...
So that's just my guesses and opinions. X3

One time, I asked babclayman to give me an assumption of the weight classifications of the original 15. He classifies Wizzer as a light weight and Dipstick as a medium weight, which I find odd because I find Wizzer and Dipstick to be roughly the same size. His explanation comes from "Walk on the Wild Side" when Dipstick pushes Wizzer aside. I find that to be a weird conclusion. Just because Dipstick did that doesn't mean he's strong, and just because he's strong doesn't mean he's heavy.

Well, I think Rolly would be the heaviest, no doubt. (Sorry, Rolly...) But yeah, I weigh nearly 30 lbs more than my sister IRL, and in terms of upper body strength, I'm superior. Lower body strength, such as leg-strength, my sister far surpasses me. So that conclusion is a bit confusing, but I see where babclayman is coming from in terms of using that as evidence and forming that conclusion. If anyone's a light-weight it's Penny and Cadpig. Everyone else is average in my eyes.

Actually in the series, Patch is much larger than Rolly, so he could be the heaviest in this case.

I usually go by movie standards... X3 Not a big fan of Patch or Two-Tone in the series to be honest... Yet I support Lucky x Rebecca because it's cute... XD
