Here comes the round that may decide who will win the game and play Big Money. Which family will reach past the £300 mark? Let's find out as our families play round two of Double Money.
***
Patch: Let's see how our families did after the first round of Double Money. The Friedman family is in the lead with £205. The Collins family has £178. Sam, Celeste, come join me at the center. It’s time for more Double Money!
Sam, meet Celeste. Celeste, meet Sam.
In this fifth game, we have the top four answers on the board to this question we asked 100 people. Name a Shakespeare play with a person’s name in the title.
(Sam rings in)
Patch: Sam.
Sam: Macbeth.
Patch (jumping back in surprise): We're not allowed to say that in show business, sir. We have to call it the Scottish Play.
(laughter from audience)
Patch: Let's have a look for the Scottish Play.
(top answer fanfare)
Patch (surprised): Oh, my goodness! Even our producers had put that up there!
Sam: Sorry, Patch. I have no idea.
Patch: No, no, Sam. It's all right. It's just that we actors are not allowed to say it. And seriously, I am an actor, for I had played Thunderbolt’s sidekick on The Thunderbolt Adventure Hour after Lightning got fired. Well, anyway, you've found the top answer. So, for that, you have control. Play or pass?
Friedman family: Play! Let's play! Let's play! We'll play!
Sam: We're gonna play.
Patch: The Friedman family is playing. Go and rejoin your family.
Mark, do you know another Shakespeare play with a person's name in it?
Mark: Romeo And Juliet.
Patch: All right. Let's have a look for Romeo And Juliet.
(Ding)
Patch: It's there! Well done. At this point, either family can win.
Erica, can you come up with another answer?
Erica: Midsummer Night's Dream.
Patch: Midsummer Night's Dream?
Erica: Summer. That's the one.
Patch: Okay. We're looking for Midsummer Night's Dream. Our survey says...
(Uh-uhhh!)
Patch: It's not there! You've lost a life.
Say, now, hang on a minute! Didn't you hear the question?!
Erica: Summer! Summer's a girl's name.
Patch: A Shakespeare play with a person's name in it!
Erica: There are lots of little girls named Summer.
(laughter from audience)
Patch: Okay, moving right along! Daniel, I want you to name a Shakespeare play with a person's name in it.
Daniel: I haven't got a clue.
Patch: Are you sure? You have a bit of thinking time.
Daniel: Sorry, Patch. My mind has gone blank.
(Beep)
Patch: Oh, that sound means you've run out of a time to give me an answer!
(Uh-uhhh!)
Patch: So, for that, you've lost your second life. Collins family, get ready. You might get that chance to steal.
Rachel, what can you come up with?
Rachel: I was going to say The Tempest, but that's not a man's name.
Patch: It doesn't have to be a man, a person's name in the title.
Rachel (stumped): I had to say The Tempest.
(laughter from audience)
Patch: Okay. Looks like we're gonna lose a life, I think. We're looking for The Tempest. Our survey says...
(Uh-uhhh!)
Patch: And lose a life you did! That was your third life. The Collins now have a chance at stealing the money.
Celeste, what do you say?
Celeste: Richard III.
Patch: Richard III. Ward?
Ward: Taming The Shrew.
Patch: What? Taming The Shrew?
Ward: Shrew. It's a name of an animal.
Patch: Okay, so that's a name. John?
John: Julius Caesar.
Patch: Julius Caesar. Amelia?
Amelia (frustrated): Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.
(laughter from audience)
Patch (laughing): Shakespeare would be spinning in this play. Richard?
Richard: Othello.
Patch: Othello. What answer are you gonna go with?
Richard: We'll go with Richard III.
Patch: All right, then. This is very important. For the steal, and the win, let's have a look for Richard III.
(Uh-uhhh!)
Patch: Oh, it's not there!
The Friedman family wins the money and the game! Let's take a look at the missing answers. Number four?
(Ding)
Patch: Othello. I can't believe you didn't go with it. Number three?
(Ding)
Patch: Hamlet.
Sorry to see you leave, Collins family. But you are going back to Cardiff with £178. And that's better than nothing.
Richard: It is, Patch. And we had a great time here.
Patch: Thank you, Richard. It's been nice meeting you and your family. Ladies and gentlemen, they've been absolutely fantastic. Let's give a big hand for the Collins family!
(cheers and applause from audience)
