Whenever anyone hears the term "funny music", this is the first person everyone instantly thinks of.

Actually, I think of Frank Zappa, Mr. Bungle and Estradasphere. Weird Al comes about fourth or fifth.
But he is quite funny at times. I don't think I've ever heard an original song from him. Just his parodies (which vary in quality).

Yeah, I like Weird Al because of his creative thinking.

That was a good song I rekon, I mean, I myself, do like music that parodies things, like his song Eat It or Fat. But yeah, he is a good guy indeed, good singer.

Just to let everyone know, Weird Al has a new album coming out this month. It's called "Alpocalypse". I know it's been quite a few years since his last album, but now, he's finally got a new one. This one's going to include 5 parodies, 6 originals and 1 polka, as usual. Also, as Al promised, the 5 songs he released as singles in 2008 and 2009 will be included in this album. As far as parodies go, it's going to include a Lady Gaga parody, a Taylor Swift parody and a Miley Cyrus parody, which seems appropriate to reflect on today's music.
I don't mean to sound like I'm bashing the Parody King, but lately, his albums have become very predictable. I mean, they all seem to follow the same pattern:
There are always 12 tracks on each album, and they go like this: 1. Parody/Album's Biggest Hit 2. Original 3. Parody 4. Original 5. Polka 6. Original 7. Parody 8. Original 9. Parody 10. Original 11. Parody 12. Original
This is the pattern for the upcoming "Alpocalypse", and the same pattern was also used for "Bad Hair Day" and "Poodle Hat". "Running With Scissors" and "Straight Outta Lynwood" were slightly different from that, but not much.
When Al becomes this unoriginal and predictable, the fans always seem to know what to expect on his albums. So with that in mind, something tells me this upcoming album is going to get a lot of bad reviews. Also, I wish iTunes would fix Al's iTunes Essentials list, because it's completely disgraceful!

What's iTunes know.
I personally don't mind Weird Al being predictable, if you haven't noticed he's predictably good and most of his songs hold up well over time ("Amish Paradise" for instance has been much more successful in the long run than the Coolio song it's based off of). He's also probably the most sane guy in the music industry today as far as big talents go.

Well, the new album just came out yesterday. I haven't bought it yet, but I probably will soon.
Right now, I'm wondering when or if Al is going to re-release "The Food Album" and "The TV Album" with the newer food and TV songs that he did after those album's releases. There are rumors going around saying that he is going to do that, but I think it's likely not going to happen since Al didn't like either of those compilations to begin with (he was forced to make them against his will, and neither of them showed a good example of his best material).
However, if it were to happen, I would say, judging by his catalog of songs right now, this is how I think the playlists for the albums would go:
The TV Album:
1. Bedrock Anthem 2. I Can't Watch This 3. The Weird Al Show Theme 4. Frank's 2000" TV 5. Money For Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies 6. Stuck In a Closet With Vanna White 7. Ricky 8. Jerry Springer 9. Talk Soup 10. Here's Johnny 11. Isle Thing 12. The Brady Bunch 13. Couch Potato 14. TMZ 15. Cable TV 16. I Lost On Jeopardy 17. Syndicated Inc. 18. UHF
The Food Album:
1. Fat 2. Lasagna 3. Addicted to Spuds 4. I Love Rocky Road 5. Livin' In the Fridge 6. Girls Just Wanna Have Lunch 7. Spam 8. Eat It 9. The White Stuff 10. My Bologna 11. Taco Grande 12. The Rye Or the Kaiser 13. Trapped in the Drive-Thru 14. Grapefruit Diet 15. Waffle King
Strange. Al is most known for his food songs and TV songs, but he's apparantley made more TV songs than food songs.
I just came up with an idea. If Al does this, I think he should also make "The Computer Album", because he has been recently making some computer-related songs for his albums. This would be the track listing for it so far:
1. White & Nerdy 2. It's All About the Pentiums 3. Virus Alert 4. eBay 5. Don't Download This Song 6. Stop Forwarding That Crap to Me
Unfortunately, that's how many computer songs he has written so far. When he makes any new ones, it'll be possible to squeeze them into the mix somewhere.

Weird Al just released a new album yesterday. This came out of nowhere, and I wasn't expecting it. It's called Mandatory Fun.

He was also on a recent Epic Rap Battle of History on YouTube uploaded by ERB, (about 4 weeks ago). He played Sir Isaac Newton against one of the ERB guys playing as Bill Nye.

I just got back from seeing Weird Al live in concert. Spectacular show! If any of you ever get a chance to see him live in concert, do it! You will not be disappointed! Best part about this show is during transitions between songs, they showed clips from TV shows Al made a cameo on or was mentioned...INCLUDING THE MLP EPISODE!!!
