Say, you just gave me an idea, Trey! These are my personal picks for the best D.A.C.'s of each decade: 1930's: Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (Well, duh! It's the only one from that decade!) 1940's: Make Mine Music 1950's: Sleeping Beauty 1960's: 101 Dalmatians 1970's: Robin Hood 1980's: The Black Cauldron 1990's: The Lion King 2000's: Bolt Good that I seem to be an inspiration Belchic. Here's mine: 1930sBest: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfes (1937) This movie wins by default. 1940sBest: Fantasia (1940) Worst: The Three Caballeros (1945) Not my favorite decade, mainly due to all the all-musicals made during the war, but it was good. 1950sBest: Lady and the Tramp (1955) Worst: Alice in Wonderland (1951) I don't hate Alice in Wonderland, this is more of a "Least Good". Because well, it's either that, Cinderella, Peter Pan or Sleeping Beauty. Otherwise this was a great decade. 1960sBest: 101 Dalmatians (1961) Worst: The Sword in the Stone (1963) 101 Dalmatians was Disney's personal last true classic. After that we had some dismal times coming. 1970sBest: Robin Hood (1973) Worst: The Aristocats (1970) Not the company's proudest time. Robin Hood was like the best of the worst this decade. 1980sBest: The Little Mermaid (1989) Worst: The Black Cauldron (1985) Still not their best. But The Little Mermaid was a good start to something that would be incredible. The 1980s was better than the 1970s. 1990sBest: Well... Beauty and the Beast (1991) (critically) The Lion King (1994) (personally) Worst: Hercules (1997) I don't know if I can say Beauty and the Beast or The Lion King should be the definitive best. The former was critically acclaimed but the latter is a personal favorite/box-office smash. So, I'll leave it as a split choice. This was another great decade. 2000sBest: Lilo and Stitch (2002) Worst: Dinosaur (2000) Disney was in kind of rut this time, probably due to competition from DreamWorks, Pixar and Warner Brothers. Not their worst decade; Lilo and Stitch, Bolt and The Princess and the Frog were all great.

Apparantley, this upcoming Winnie the Pooh movie that's coming out next year is the next film in the lineup. The following year, we will be getting "King of the Elves", and the year after that will be "The Snow Queen", which is currently rumoured but hopefully not canceled.

Well, Since, Trey & Belchic have already tried their personal picks of the best and worst, Animated Disney Film In Each Decade, So, I say having my choices is worth a view too. ;3
So, Let’s see what I can, Think of. X3
First with the 1940’s. I know that the first, Animated Disney Film, Snow White came out in the 30’s however, since that was the only, Animated Film which, Disney had in the 30’s, It would be pretty much a one entry contest. O.o Anyway. X3
Here are my, Personal Best And Worst Animated, Disney Films in each Decade...
Disney Animated Films of the 1940’s
Best: Bambi (1942) Worst: The Three Caballeros (1945)
Disney were just starting in this Time Period, also since almost all their Animators had went to fight in, “World War II” You can expect that they would be having difficulty at the time. For my choices, Bambi in this period did seem like an interesting family film, however there are scenes when your jaw does drop at what happens in the film and you really notice how dark the older, Disney stuff is. O.o When I seen clips of The Three Caballeros, What I saw was just Donald And Two Other Bird like people standing in front of a red background, and that’s pretty much what I saw, and then you are kind of wondering where the Plot is during this movie. Could been easily cut to just a normal Disney short really.
Now to the 1950’s era.
Best: Lady and the Tramp (1955) Worst: Alice In Wonderland (1951)
This was a good Decade, Since I guess, Disney were picking up in post war type eras. However for my choices, I decided to put, Alice as the worst in this period because, a film about a girl walking aimlessly around this almost drug induced world, eating cookies and drinking formulas she happens to discover laying around and then enters peoples places uninvited and you just need to wonder to yourself, What were her parents up to when they were suppose to give this girl, lessons on how to keep safe from strangers (E.G. Don’t eat stuff you find laying about or don’t Follow White Rabbits down random deep holes…) I choose, Lady and Tramp for this period as I felt more comfortable in the types of area they have in that because it was close to modern time areas and also due to the canines (Since I am a canine type of person. X3). However there are scenes like those cats really did annoy me. X.x
Now we have the 1960’s. X3
Best: “101 Dalmatians” (1961) Worst: Jungle Book (1967)
Well, Here we have the decade in which, Mr. Disney was taken. Fortunately however, he began the Decade with, Possibly the BEST, Disney Animated Feature ever, “101 Dalmatians”. The film has an easy to follow just effective and good story, The Characters are Good & Likeable with, Cruella as a Villain with attitude, and the Animation is well made and some points are cleverly done. It is without a question, the Best, Disney Animated film of this Decade if not all of the Disney Decades. X3 Jungle Book, however…I guess people give it sympathy cause it was Walt’s work before his takings, however when I see this film I am not really sure how to follow it, first he’s with Wolves (Father Wolf being voice by, Rogers voice artist “Ben Wright”. X3) And then they decide to give him to Panthers before he runs of with, Elephants, gets to a Bear and then is abducted by Monkeys before the Bear and Panther come along and then Vulcars whom look like the Rolling Stones, Sing to him and during that, A Tiger & Snake want to eat him. Did I turn over two pages at once? There just seems so much junk going on in the movie and at the same time, It just feels dull at times, I can barely hear any underscore during the time, and this boy has to be one of the most dumb protagonists that I’ve seen. o.O
Now onto the dip in, Disney era, the 1970’s.
Best: Robin Hood (1973) Worst: Aristocats (1970)
Like, Trey says in his count. This era is pretty much a downturn in, Disney. Both these films on the count down I will say have pretty pathetic villains. Choosing in this era is pretty much finding a penny after spending an hour or so searching in a sewage dumping area. Robin Hood is an okay film, however can has it’s flaws with reusing animation or some strange scenes. Aristocats, where do I start? The story sound weird with idiotic characters, the villain is so painfully pathetic, there are scenes which defy logic and like, Trey says, it’s just a bunch of random encounters than it is a drafted together story. o.O So, You could consider the 1970’s as, Disneys darker turn.
With the 1980’s, let’s see if, Disney can pick up…
Best: Oliver and Co (1988) Worst: Black Caldron (1985)
Well, Disney were slowly picking their way up during this era. Black Caldron was pretty much a bomb with, Disney seeming to create a Lord and The Rings rip-off with areas which made it taken from Cinemas as quickly as possible. With, Oliver, while it can be amusing, You can also see flaws with character motives going all over the place (One scene for instance is, Oliver is mad at Dodger for stealing the hotdogs, however as soon as he gets to the hangout, he’s instantly okay with him and acts like he wasn’t betrayed by Dodger) and some of the scenes are a bit akward. It’s sort of a guilty pleasure to say the least. However, Disney did seem to start picking up.
Now to the, Disney Reinasaunce in the 1990’s.
Best: Beauty & The Beast Worst: Lion King
Well, Disney seemed to start picking up more in this era bringing, musical style features out which had the Musical Genre of film still living since the big studios which made, Musicals were sold in the 70’s & 80’s. With Beauty & The Beast, it brings in some protagonists who do get some decent character development as well as having some good songs with amusing styles of story telling. However, I probably am shocking by this, But, Lion King is getting WAY more credit than it actually deserves…I’ll state my points, The Protagonist of the Film is pretty much a jerk to everyone (Even singing a song where he talks about how with him in charge, everyone will have to do everything his way and talk about how great he is, and if not, then they’re fired. X.X) And then we get other characters, who set up bad morales like “Turn your back on everyone, if you got problems you need to sort out, sweep them under the rug.” And then, the love story is force with people saying that they’re in love, just because they had one conversation between each other. Then, the villain doesn’t seem to plan everything out right (I have stated his flaws in my, worst villains list, This rant can continue more) and it’s kind of like those idiot plots in which is a plot which works if the characters can’t figure out the obvious. I can rant about this all day, people. O.o
So, Disney did pick up in this era (However in some films, not so well.) Yet, it kept the company still fresh and going.
Now onto our recent decade, the 2000’s. However in Two Area. Both in, Cel Animation & CGI Animation.
For Cel. Best: Lilo and Stitch. Worst: Home on the Range.
Well, Disney seemed to start taking a move they had in the 70’s. Within this, While I find their startings within the first trio of years were okay, as soon as, Home on the Range was made, they were in trouble, The story seemed random, the protagonists seem those types of “We act like we’re cool when in reality we can’t.” be type heroes and there are scenes which are random as heck. O.O Stitch did give a pretty cool idea as well as some amusing characters. Also, it’s heart felt which sets good morale which can keep Families close.
With, CGI…Oh lord…
Best: Bolt Worst: Chicken Little
It is pretty obvious that the, CGI is some of, Disneys worst work. I guess it comes to the case where, Studios thought the only reason, Pixar were doing well were because of the, CGI animation (You know, aside from the writing in which, Pixar devote into it as well, usually Two Years to get the outline of the Story Plot. O.o). So they felt that they could toss any random junk at us and expect us to buy it. Cases in point, Wild, Dinosaur and Chicken Little. I didn’t put Dinosaur on the list as, Trey says “It’s just a film of people, walking…” However, For Chicken Little while it was an interesting idea continuing their tale type films, some areas didn’t seem right. First off, While I can get, Chicken Little & Ugly Duckling, What’s with this Pig guy and this Fish one? And then, the film starts with, Chicken trying to redeem himself in the towns eye after the incident, however as he does that, the story breaks into this random Alien attack thing almost zapping everyone out and it just went so, Anti-Climatic when the Alien treat are just little puff balls who look like if the hair on Troll dolls came to life. And then they’re like “Okay. Everything’s cool, even though you tried to kill us all because you were missing your child, instead of…actually looking peacefully or coming to the town in peace and saying you’re aliens. Poor, Zac Braff, He was J.D. in Scrubs… However, Bolt was an improvement when, Disney discovered “SAY! Maybe it’s a Good Story with Good Writing which makes a Good film.” So they did a pretty good job, Getting John Travolta and I will also say, Miley Cryus can play pretty Good characters, It’s just, Hannah Montana which holds her back from stuff (Thankfully, she knows that and even she doesn’t like being, Hannah). It was also another, Heart Felt Film which can get you emotional at times (Even a friend of mine, who never usually cries at films, had to hold some back during the scene where, Bolt sees, Penny with his replacement). However I will say that, the Hamster REALLY annoys me, so much!
So, let’s see my list again…
1930’s & 1940’s
Best: Bambi (1942) Worst: The Three Caballeros (1945)
1950’s
Best: Lady and the Tramp (1955) Worst: Alice In Wonderland (1951)
1960’S
Best: “101 Dalmatians” (1961) Worst: Jungle Book (1967)
1970’s
Best: Robin Hood (1973) Worst: Aristocats (1970)
1980’s
Best: Oliver and Co (1988) Worst: Black Caldron (1985)
1990’s
Best: Beauty & The Beast Worst: Lion King
2000’s
Cel
Best: Lilo and Stitch. Worst: Home on the Range
CGI
Best: Bolt Worst: Chicken Little
And overall, here are my picks of the best & worst, Animated Disney Films altogether. X3
Overall
Best: “101 Dalmatians” Worst: Black Caldron
So, those are my picks of, Animated Disney Films. X3
Hope you like my selection. X3

No offense, bab, but you have really bad taste in these films. You gotta give credit to others besides 101 Dalmtians, and while I admit it's my favorite too, I do have other favorites.
Hating The Black Cauldron just because of how well it did in theaters I don't think sounds fair. Also, saying The Lion King is the worst just because you think it's overrated? I think Aladdin is overrated, but I don't hate it.
Sorry, but your choices for the best and worst don't seem very fair to me.

Here's something new I decided to do. I'm going to list all the D.A.C.'s and say wether or not I saw them theatrically. If I have a good reason for not seeing it theatrically, I will state why. I will also state if I saw it as a reissue, or if I've seen it more than once. Okay, here we go.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves: No Pinocchio: No Fantasia: No Dumbo: No (It's final reissue date was in the 1970's sometime, and that was before my time.) Bambi: Yes (as a reissue) Saludos Amigos: No (It was never reissued.) The Three Caballeros: No (It was never reissued.) Make Mine Music: No (It was never reissued.) Fun and Fancy Free: No (It was never reissued.) Melody Time: No (It was never reissued.) Ichabod and Mr. Toad: No (It was never reissued.) Cinderella: Yes (as a reissue) Alice in Wonderland: No (It's final reissue date was in 1974, and that was before my time.) Peter Pan: Yes (as a reissue) Lady and the Tramp: No (It's final reissue date was in 1986, and at the time, I was too young to be brought into theaters.) Sleeping Beauty: No 101 Dalmatians: Yes (as a reissue) The Sword in the Stone: No (It's final reissue date was in 1983, and that was before my time.) The Jungle Book: Yes (as a reissue) The Aristocats: No (It's final reissue date was in 1987, and at the time, I was too young to be brought into theaters.) Robin Hood: No (It's final reissue date was in 1982, and that was before my time.) The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: No (It was never reissued.) The Rescuers: Yes (as a reissue) The Fox and the Hound: Yes (as a reissue) The Black Cauldron: No (It was released in 1985, and at the time, I was too young to be brought into theaters, plus, it was never reissued.) The Great Mouse Detective: No Oliver & Company: Yes (first Disney movie I saw theatrically and was not a reissue) The Little Mermaid: Yes The Rescuers Down Under: Yes Beauty and the Beast: Yes (three times) Aladdin: Yes The Lion King: Yes (three times) Pocahontas: Yes The Hunchback of Notre Dame: Yes Hercules: Yes Mulan: No Tarzan: Yes Fantasia 2000: Yes Dinosaur: No The Emperor's New Groove: No Atlantis: Yes Lilo & Stitch: No (At this point, I had given up on Disney thinking they were unable to make any more good quality animated films.) Treasure Planet: No Brother Bear: No Home on the Range: No Chicken Little: No Meet the Robinsons: No Bolt: Yes (I wanted to see it a second time, but never got a chance to.) The Princess and the Frog: Yes (twice) Tangled: Yes Winnie the Pooh: No Wreck-It Ralph: Yes Frozen: Yes (twice) Big Hero 6: Yes

Some of the hate towards The Lion King seems to find its voice through that Confused Matthew guy's argument.
All I'm going to say about that is this: You think Beauty and the Beast is better than The Lion King just because of some jerk attitude from Simba? Simba has his good side. Look at the moments he has with Mufasa and Nala. At the same time, how do you think the Prince from Beauty and the Beast became a Beast in the first place? The movie's prologue openly states "The Prince was spoiled, selfish and unkind". Is it just because we see Simba's backstory and the unnamed Prince was just relegated to a prologue? I doubt he became a Beast because the enchantress was in a bad mood that day.
Inspired by Belchic's current thread, here's mine:
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves: Yes Pinocchio: No Fantasia: No Dumbo: No Bambi: Yes (as a reissue) Saludos Amigos: No The Three Caballeros: No Make Mine Music: No Fun and Fancy Free: No Melody Time: No Ichabod and Mr. Toad: No Cinderella: Yes (as a reissue) Alice in Wonderland: No Peter Pan: Yes (as a reissue, three times) Lady and the Tramp: Yes Sleeping Beauty: Yes 101 Dalmatians: Yes (as a reissue, three times) The Sword in the Stone: No The Jungle Book: Yes (as a reissue) The Aristocats: No Robin Hood: No The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: No The Rescuers: Yes (as a reissue) The Fox and the Hound: Yes (as a reissue) The Black Cauldron: No The Great Mouse Detective: No Oliver & Company: Yes (first Disney movie I saw theatrically and was not a reissue) The Little Mermaid: Yes The Rescuers Down Under: No Beauty and the Beast: Yes Aladdin: Yes (two times) The Lion King: Yes (three times) Pocahontas: No (part of the problem was I felt Disney was just for kids at this point) The Hunchback of Notre Dame: No Hercules: No Mulan: No Tarzan: No Fantasia 2000: No Dinosaur: No The Emperor's New Groove: No Atlantis: the Lost Empire: No Lilo & Stitch: Yes (two times) Treasure Planet: Yes Brother Bear: Yes Home on the Range: No Chicken Little: No Meet the Robinsons: No Bolt: Yes The Princess and the Frog: Yes
Belchic and I both agree on our Top 5s for the most part. We both have 101 Dalmatians, The Lion King, Lilo and Stitch and Bolt in our Top 5s. Here's our ranking (could change in the future though):
101 Dalmatians (1961) Belchic: #1 Me: #3
The Lion King (1994) Belchic: #2 Me: #1
Lilo and Stitch (2002) Belchic: #4 Me: #2
Bolt (2008) Belchic: #3 Me: #5
For the last one?
Belchic: The Princess and the Frog (2009) (#5) Me: Aladdin (1992) (#4)

I think Aladdin is overrated, but I don't hate it. Sorry, but your choices for the best and worst don't seem very fair to me. Belchic, I am welcome to have my own tastes. Just because, YOU don't agree with them, doesn't mean I have a bad taste in film. I am able to tell when A film is good or bad. I would say Aladin was better than Lion King, because the characters were more likable and the love was't forced on us. (Seriously, there's in scene in that movie where it's the two characters talking as a child, having a normal conversation you would have with anyone, and they just have another character go "Awwwww! You're going to be mated together one day!", Come on, I talk with girls all the time, doesn't mean I'm going to marry them!) Also, I have more reasons on why, Black Cauldron is bad other than it be taking from the cinema so fast (Even, Trey hates this movie, naming it the Worst Animated, Disney film ever) Isn't it also unfair that you are criticing a fic, due to one scene which wasn't ridiculous, Did come from somewhere, Sets up whom a character is And did did mentioned again. For, Trey. I have more reasoning on why I find that film over rated. I use more than the, Jerk Hero, argument. I also use the argument how the other two characters (whom got a Series, which doesn't work) seems to set up bad morales. It's not nitpicking, It's just what I happened to see. Besides, We were introduced to the Beast and we were told that he was suppose to be a jerk which would be shown how to become better via the films heroine, instead of set them up to be the films hero. Telling the audience that the hero is suppose to be a jerk, and a film seeming to treat this jerk to be the hero, are two different things. I let you keep your film tastes in your way, So let me keep my tastes in mine. ;3

Least Simba got some development. If you watch Pocahontas or Hercules, they DON'T truly develop the main characters; so by the end of the film, you see the hero/heroine win and because they didn't bother making you care, it comes off as 'no big whoop'.

I would say that, Pocahontis is that type of bland character, I will agree. She's pretty much a cross between a, Native American Barbie who just seems to stand up mountains (which aren't meant to be in the location which the Film is set in) and jump off them before she seems to be able to bridge languages by speaking with heart. (Seriously, why doesn't speaking with your heart bridge languages anymore? o.O)
I actually find he is the most easiest convinced, Hero i've seen in film.
First he's like "I'm going to be better than you when older" Then when his uncle blames him for his fathers death, he's like "Yeah, I did it even though, my Uncle told me to stay in this area even though I offered to come with him." Then with those bad morale things, he's like "Okay, I'll do what you say and do your methods..." Then the Monkey tells him to go back and he's like "Okay" Then when he confronts the villian again, he then has the "You killed the father" thing on him, again. And he is like "Yeah, it was me."
Arguments with him would be easy to win considering how gullible. he seems to act. It looks more like, he does it cause the Plot said so, Type of thing.
I don't wish for anything wrong to come between us. I hope I am not making you upset, Trey. =s I Apologise if I have done so. *Hugs* X3 You're welcome to have your views. I'm just stating mine. X3

I have also given my own personal grades to each D.A.C. This is how I graded each one:
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves: A+ Pinocchio: B+ Fantasia: A- Dumbo: B Bambi: B- Saludos Amigos: D The Three Caballeros: C Make Mine Music: B Fun and Fancy Free: C+ Melody Time: C Ichabod and Mr. Toad: B+ Cinderella: A- Alice in Wonderland: A- Peter Pan: A Lady and the Tramp: C Sleeping Beauty: A 101 Dalmatians: A The Sword in the Stone: B- The Jungle Book: A- The Aristocats: C+ Robin Hood: B The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: B The Rescuers: C- The Fox and the Hound: B The Black Cauldron: B+ The Great Mouse Detective: C Oliver & Company: B- The Little Mermaid: A- The Rescuers Down Under: C Beauty and the Beast: A+ Aladdin: B The Lion King: A+ Pocahontas: C The Hunchback of Notre Dame: A- Hercules: D Mulan: C+ Tarzan: B Fantasia 2000: A- Dinosaur: D- The Emperor's New Groove: D Atlantis: C Lilo & Stitch: A Treasure Planet: D+ Brother Bear: A- Home on the Range: C+ Chicken Little: F Meet the Robinsons: B- Bolt: A The Princess and the Frog: A Tangled: B+ Winnie the Pooh: B- Wreck-It Ralph: A Frozen: A Big Hero 6: B+
I kind of combined my personal opinions with the Universal opinions as well as how succesful they were (but they're mostly my opinion). Normally, I don't give an A+ grade to a film. I gave Snow White, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King an A+ each because these films went above and beyond the call of duty to achieve their success.
I'd really like to see Trey's and Bab's grades on these as well and see how they compare to mine. I know Trey has seen them all, and bab told me he hasn't, but I hope he does his best.
