I apologise for the late welcome. I can't help but notice the word "musician". Do you play any instruments, or do you write/sing? And what kind(s) of music do you prefer?

I apologise for the late welcome. I can't help but notice the word "musician". Do you play any instruments, or do you write/sing? And what kind(s) of music do you prefer? thanks for asking I play saxophone, preferably tenor but I also have an alto that I play occasionally. I like to play jazz and modern music written for sax As for music I like, I like pretty much everything except for hardcore rap, screamo, hillbilly country, and rockabilly. If you don't know what any of those are, consider yourself lucky...(no offense to anyone who likes them). I cannot sing...at all lol are you into music too?

Are you kidding? I bloody love it. I play the sax (tenor and alto), guitar, electric bass and piano. Jazz in all it's forms is magnificent (can't beat Charlie Parker or Thelonious Monk), but I also like a lot of avant-garde stuff (for example, things like Mr. Bungle and Frank Zappa). I know next to nothing about reading or writing music, but I get along fine working by ear.

I'd seriously recommend Mr. Bungle for good sax parts. They did a lot of "old" stuff and contemporary, so it's great for variation. Some of it's a bit vulgar, but the instrumentation's superb, and very clever. Estradasphere were also good for sax parts, and were less vulgar than Bungle, but whilst Bungle was complicated. Estradasphere are even more complicated. There are some really good jazz arrangements on their "Buck Fever" album.
