just wondering if like me you think there should a third 101 dalmatians movie. If one ever comes out it should star lucky like the last one should have. And give lucky back his black and every thing else the took away from him.

I would like both "101 Dalmatians III" and "103 Dalmatians"... I would love to see Glenn Close as Cruella for the third time if it would be "103 Dalmatians", I would like to see one of 102D pups (LD, Domino or Oddball) as a new adult Dalmatian. otherwise, I agree.... I also don't like the fact that they turned Lucky's ears into white in "Patch's London Adventure". And I don't see why the hell did they reversed Patch's black and white ear.

I don't think there should be a third 101 Dalmatians movie. Disney has promised to stop making sequels to its old movies that we all know and love. If 101 Dalmatians have another sequel, then that ruins it even more. It's messed up enough that they made Patch's London Adventure, which was done all wrong, and that's why I posted a fanfic that took place right after that sequel instead of hoping for another and better sequel to come out.

if it's everything so bad, why do you like Patch and Thunderbolt so much? And why do you draw Patch's ears like in "London Adventure" instead of like the first movie? ;D come on, really... can you give an argument, what's so bad about it?

Well, I think Patch and Thunderbolt are cute characters, but I just don't like the plot. I think the whole plot of the movie could've been a lot better.
Now, let's just go back on topic about whether other people here think there should be a third movie or not.

Well i feel that there shouldn't be a sequal as really, there isn't anything left to explore in 101.
I mean, the main good ones were the first versions of the animated and live actions movies, their sequals could have been better. For 102, it was just a bit bizzare for me and for Patchs London Adventure didn't really stay consistant with the first film (ear colours and personalities) while at the same time; Lil Lightnings story was un resolved. The reason Lightning did bad was because Thunderbolt was a d!ck to him, and when Thunderbolt fakes his death at the end, Lightning did have emotion. But the movie just leaves him with "Oh, f**k resolving his side of the story; he got sent to prison, HA!"
I know they could try "Starlight Barking" but really, do you really want the pups your kids watch as adults or talking on Nuclear War? Just too much of a disturbing concept for a kids film.
Besides, it's been 13 years since the first live action film, it's hard to believe we got the same dalmatians from the first live action film there. The Live Action Pongo and Perdy would probably be dead by now and the pups are in their late days so it be hard to pull a film off with them.
So yeah, the sequals aren't as good as the first as they are a bit overally bizzare or just unresolved. And really, Disney havn't got any ideas left for these guys and i doubt they care about them any more. =/
So, third film highly unlikely.

It would be nice if they did make a new one, but there's pretty much a zero chance it's going to happen.
A sequel to me would be horrible, just look at Patch's London Adventure. They didn't even get most of the characters' looks right cause when I was watching I was like... 'since when does Lucky have white ears?'
My other reason is because... most of the younger kids today don't even know what 101 Dalmatians or any of the older classics are... thanks to Hannah Bullcrap and Can't sing for sh*t brothers.

Here's what I think:
I would really like to see a "101 Dalmatians III". As long as it keeps the special Disney touch that I always enjoy and it feels genuine. "Patch's London Adventure" was actually pretty good for a sequel, but it was still nowhere near as good as the original. Disney always seems to use the same kind of formula for all movies they make with talking dogs, which is why I love them so much. The same thing goes for the "101 Dalmatians" animated series. Even the "Air Buddies" movies are great.
So, yeah, I definately say yes to "101 Dalmatians III", but I'd have to decline to "103 Dalmatians". The live action movies don't hold the same heart value as the animated movies do. Judging by what they did to "102 Dalmatians" in comparison to its predecessor, "103 Dalmatians" would probably have a ridiculous plot, a hard to follow story, and not to mention fewer recognizable characters in favor of some random brand new ones.
Also, I should bring up the fact that if another Dalmatian movie gets made, wether it be animated, live-action, or both, it would probably cause a lot more confusion in the "101 Dalmatians" timeline causing hardcore fans to try to figure out where in the timeline the new movies should belong.
Just thought I'd offer my thoughts and some stuff to consider.

Okay, here's my assessment.
As far as the movies are concerned, I really loved the 1961 animated movie and the 1996 live-action remake. Those two films are really nice and they are both highly enjoyable. Along with the series, these are products you and your family should watch and judge the franchise on. As I once stated in my RetroJunk article, the story of 101 Dalmatians is probably best remembered for the way Disney tells it.
The sequels, on the other hand, leave a lot to be desired.
If Disney ever did try to adapt "The Starlight Barking" into a movie, animated, live-action or otherwise...all I will say is I have extreme doubts that the public will ever accept it as a sequel. I mean, Cruella DeVil is an extremely popular villain in the Disney canon and she only has a very minor role in the story. That is bound to leave people feeling empty towards it. Not to mention, do you think kids will like:
Seeing the puppies as adults? It's too depressing. Discussion of nuclear war? Not kid-friendly. Aliens that think the world is doomed? It's too preachy and in the world of cinema/television, the idea of a down-to-earth story suddenly looking to extraterrestial life for a plot is a clear sign that it's 'jumped the shark'.
For 102 Dalmatians...what I will say is this: I didn't see it theatrically and I never once rented it, but I did see it once when Disney Channel had chose to air it. And? I'm glad I didn't use any money for it because it sucked. It was like a made-for-TV movie. On top of that, I doubt Disney would see another live-action sequel as profitable because in its original release the movie failed to make back its budget and on video it just did okay; it was nothing but a dud.
Consider the US grosses:
101 Dalmatians (1996): $136 million 102 Dalmatians (2000): $65 million
(for those counting, the sequel made a little less than half)
Now worldwide:
101 Dalmatians (1996): $320 million 102 Dalmatians (2000): $183 million
(I did the math and the 1996 movie made more money with its international gross than the 2000 movie did all together)
The movie's return to DVD in 2008 is more like Disney's way of saying "If you're going to buy all the Dalmatians films on DVD then buy this one too" instead of the public begging the studio to make a terrific release of the film.
For 101 Dalmatians 2: Patch's London Adventure, I did buy it upon its release in 2003, from the Disney Store with four collective lithographs. It's a decent follow-up, and the animation by Disney Animation Japan is nice, but it has a unfortunate tendency to counter some things nailed down in the first movie. It's worth watching but ultimately lightweight.
I really don't know what else can be accomplished through another sequel.

I'd prefer it to be an animated feature, rather than a live-action film. Possibly stop-animation, or computer generated animation? Many possibilities.
