Belchic, no need to yell. If you are annoyed, I understand, but yelling does not solve issues. Actually try and talk about it calmly for once instead of yelling swearing all the time.....it'll get you nowhere and fast.

He's not giving me any instructions or tutorials or anything. All he's saying is "improve". How is something as bland as that going to help me any?

In life, you have to face criticism. It helps you become better at stuff. The way it looks now, you're only hurting yourself.

You don't get it, do you, Shadow? Just saying "improve" is NOT criticism. It's just a bland, flat-out order! Criticism is helpful advice that would help you get to where others want you to get to. You're obviously not seeing what I'm seeing.

want me to explain?... i suggest you to stop using your mouse, usually digital/editing programs are for basic skilled or experienced designers.. i suggest you to master your traditional sketching and then once you can sketch something decent take the next step and use/read some tutorials.. even for mouse painting.. like me... i started with pencil, then i managed to get some experience with mouse shading/coloring in photoshop, and now i'm starting to use my tablet for such tasks..
dont try to start running in a way if you dont even have legs for it.. train boy.. practice from the beginning.. then you can take the next step
and compare my actual avatar and sig... they are proof of what i explained up there.. and i'm not even an artist or designer.. xDD

Tutorials is what you want, eh? I'll link you some. I really WISH you take look at them and actually listen to Sip, at least there when he suggested sketching on the paper. It's much easier. Then when that starts getting better, you can happily move on to computer. The most simple tutorial ever: lottjuh.deviantart.com/art/Simple-Dog-Body-Tutorial-79208636Not too hard, eh? That's little bit harder, and moor... wolf-ier: ulilliaka.deviantart.com/art/Updated-Canine-Face-Tutorial-19126508Still, it gives pretty good picture where this and that goes. This is, yet again, simple: tangsoomonkey.deviantart.com/art/Tutorial-Inu-126786351Everybody loves puppies! This is one of my favorites: nekonotaishou.deviantart.com/art/Ginga-Tutorial-Final-version-145130967Though, it is in Ginga style. Ignore that, but use the useful tips from it. There's million more tutorials, but I found these the most simple ones. Most of the tutorials are 'bout wolfs too, but I figured you'd like these ones more. You're art could be better, Belchic. And don't yell at me that I'm demanding anything from you, I'm simply suggesting. Everyone has to start somewhere, but you seem like you don't even want to move on. Is it only me? Everyone who draws, more than circles and triangles on the math notebook, is somewhat called artist. They enjoy drawing, and want to do it. Do you enjoy drawing? If not... Why are you drawing? If so, listen to advice and try to improve! Nothing gives yourself better pleasure than to see how much better you have gotten over the time. If you want to work on paint, then work on it! But still, try these simple tutorials. Use some color on the sketch and draw over it with black. But I must say, it's easier to create style on the paper and when it goes well, change paper to computer.

Look: I am NOT an artist. My drawing sucks. End of story. That statement is a joke right....it was made out of anger and isn't for real....cause other wise See,it's that train of thought right there that limits you, of course your art's gonna suck if you don't listen to critique and actually try to improve!!!!!You say you want criticism...yet when some of us actually took the time to give you said criticism you blew your top and made that dandy little "revenge" fic, make up your mind already!!!.Constructive criticism and Critique aren't meant to be sugarcoated...when people see something wrong with yours or anybody's art they will point it out to you in the bluntest, most direct way and it will not likely sound nice to your ears....Sip isn't doing this to push your buttons he actually believes you can do better and if you'd give him a chance I'm sure he'll be more than happy to give you the crit you say you want. Also, just because these are all old drawings doesn't mean they're off limits to being critiqued, I not too long ago got critiqued on one of my old art pieces you know what, it turned out to be helpful to me.So instead of building a wall around yourself and sticking your fingers in your ears yelling "La La La I'm not listening!!!!" open your mind eyes and ears for a change and listen to the others are saying regardless of how "unfriendly" it sounds...because listening to critique and criticism is frankly the only way you'll improve on your art.

Belchic. Listen. I once brought my art portfolio to a comic book con and I once had a professional artist look at my work. He told me? "My anatomy needs work". See, you are not alone here. A lot of the pics I've done are hardly professional--I was told to start using a better art paper and a crow-quill pen. That's how professional comic artists work. If nothing else, do you think Hollywood filmmakers don't want their films they worked on to be criticized? Or professional singers don't want their songs and concerts judged? It's something they have to deal with. You've read my RetroJunk articles. I had to learn how to draw and critique professional work. If you don't believe me, go onto imdb.com and look at some professional film reviews. If you don't believe me, there are some products that fans tend to hate and write off as "Discontinuity". Do you think the writers/artists attacked their critics? I would think not; it's just something they have to deal with. Look at this list right here: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DisContinuityCritiques help me. It can help you too. Trust me.

Well, you know what? You guys don't have to worry about me whining about you "critiquing" me anymore, because I'm not drawing anymore. And by this, I don't mean I'm taking an extended break, I mean FOREVER! If all I'm going to get is nitpicks and no praises, then I'm just stopping altogether. I'm not going to try any new methods like drawing on paper because I will need something to scan it with. Of course I have told you all a gazillion times that I don't have a scanner. Besides, and I've told you this before too, if I drew these on paper, they probably won't look any better than they would on MS Paint. I've tried drawing on paper a lot of times in my life, and even I hate my own artwork; and I've never improved no matter how hard I tried. You guys critique me, but for some reason, I am taking those critiques too personally. Your criticisms just sound to me like they're demanding. That's why I think you're all being jerks with me. I hope you understand this. Well, most likely, you don't, because none of the artists on this board see things my way. I honestly don't want to talk about my artwork ever again! I have more important things in my life to worry about than drawing anyway. So just let me be!

Oh, c'mon Belchic. Things aren't THAT bad. I just gave you some pointers, links to tutorials, why don't you just try? Heck, I don't have scanner either, but it doesn't stop me from drawing on paper. I practice on paper, but I don't post them. You don't need to post everything you draw, that'd be crazy! (There'd be veeery ugly drawings from me if I had to do that X)) If you want praise, take some advices and try them out! I'm sure people will be really impressed that you try something new! They'd surely comment something like "Woah! You're getting much better! " or so. Just.. try. No one is demanding, but you must be initiative with these things, then good things surely will come to you. And I understand the whole "it won't look any better", but paper is better to practise on C'mon, Bel. I'd be happy if people critiques on my art. They never do. Just praise, and honestly, it's nice but it doesn't help me x) Just think about it.

You take things far too personally Belchic. People try to help you out and you just push them away every single time. Half the time, I don't even know how you get by in your normal everyday life if this is what you're like here.
I mean, they are telling you how to improve and all you can say is that they're being mean, that they don't appreciate your drawings. However, I can see that they're not being mean, they're giving you critisism, something that all artists get. I mean seriously, you think that artists paint and think they're good at it? There will always be people who critisize them.
No one is perfect Belchic, no one is.
Just learn to actually deal with it instead of pushing people away for once in your life....
