If you ever tried to challenge me to a battle, I'm sure you would loose. Because my baby boy Zaphod is in the 90s and my Arceus is at 100.

Ah, an online tournament. I don't do them personally. Don't you get to choose your own EVs/IVs? Well, I know a lot about Pokémon, so there's a lot to talk about. If you ever tried to challenge me to a battle, I'm sure you would loose. Because my baby boy Zaphod is in the 90s and my Arceus is at 100. I really hate using legendaries. I used to all the time, but it's so easy to win and involves no strategy that it becomes boring. But that did remind me of the time I beat a level 100 Arceus with a level 1 Rattata. Obviously my Rattata was in the top percentage of Rattata. Bye! *Hangs up the phone*

ℓυηα - An Arceus ? Wooow ! xD In tourneys though, you set the level at 100 for each of your pokemon, so what really matters is the movesets you choose and stuff like that. I actually don't think you can use Arceus in most tourneys, but I'm pretty sure if my arcanine, Gareth went against one, he'd get totally whopped ! Haha ~ Bishop - Yeah, that was the only tourney I've ever done, and I think it's just a little difficult for me. ^^; You'd be surprised at how many people are really good at the competitive battling - I know about 3-4 from the Pokemon forum that I'm pretty tight with who are REALLY good at it. o-o; One of them actually lent me a couple his pokemon for my online tourney and I was surprised at how strong his EV/IV trained guys were. Yeah, that's basically it. IVs I think are the stats they're born with, so to get good IVs, people breed a bunch of one pokemon until they get stats and a nature that they're happy with. EVs on the other hand, are the more time consuming I think. o-o; People choose wisely the kinds of pokemon they face in battle, which may up a certain stat more (each pokemon species gives you a certain stat or couple of stats when you level up - or something like that). So if you wanted a Sweeper - a pokemon that would be able to use one strong attack move and get instant KOs - people would probably fight pokemon that give out attack, and some that give out speed. That's my understanding of it, anyway. ^^; Choosing the way you want your stats to look, and maxing out a certain stat to however you're going to use it in battle. It's just a lot of work, imo... but one of these days I might just IV/EV train a single pokemon just to say that I did. n_n;; Yeah, legends can be overpowered, but it's still possible to eliminate some - my weavile Bliz has KO'd latias and latios in Wi-Fi battles before.
