Still, I look forward to seeing waht you, Pups say on this matter. *Hugs* X3

Last time I commented on this I hadn't gotten INTO the series, but now when I have, I gotta say. LOVING IT.
And I think Derpy was a "joke between animators" (or so I heard) but since /co/ got the whole world crazy about her they kept her the way she is. And she's awesome XD It's always like "Where's waldo?" with her in episodes.

Lauren Faust put a drawing of Derpy Hooves up for charity auction for Japan. Will likely go for a lot. =P There's also Applejack, Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie (with wings!). Some MLP links if anyone's interested (though anyone who watches the show already knows about them ^^): Equestria DailyPonychanAlso @ Mimi's avatar: This thread just got 20% cooler.

Yeah, I have seen this show, and I gotta say, it is quite good. I actually like it better than the original 80's cartoon, because it seems to have a formula that can appeal to either gender. Also, seeing that it was created by Craig McCracken's wife, I guess that makes sense.
It may interest some of you to know (especially Two-Tone) that Tara Strong is the voice of the leader of the ponies. Well, at least I think Twilight is the leader.

Two-Tone already knows, cause I told her. It's what happens when I stay up with her.

I'll probably have an official opinion soon.
In the meantime, as far as voice acting goes, I know that Tara Strong is Twilight Sparkle, but the only other VA that I am aware of is Tabitha St. Germain (she is Rarity, and did the voice of Nazz on Ed, Edd n Eddy).

From what I understand, I have a few other things to comment on this series.
I see that we seem to have an all-new cast of ponies for this series. The only recurring character from the original cartoon is Spike the dragon, who seems to be the only male character in the entire series. I also see that the cast has been narrowed down to only six ponies, which I think is good since the original had a whole lot of different ponies, and it got really confusing to keep track. Keeping a small number of main characters helps keep the series under control, which is probably why 101 Dalmatians: The Series had a small main cast rather than 101 characters. I'm sure there are other characters in this series, but they'll probably just make brief cameos on single episodes.
I'm also kind of surprised how popular it seems to be getting. It's definately far more popular than the Pound Puppies cartoon since they are airing one new episode every Friday, whereas Pound Puppies only seems to have 7 released episodes so far. This show is so popular that YouTube Poopers are starting to make Poops out of them, which are for the most part, very good.

Here's a neat observation I made:
Trey stated that the creator of this series is the wife of Craig McCracken, the creator of the Powerpuff Girls. An interesting thing that came to my mind is that there are three Powerpuff Girls and six Ponies (and nobody dare call me Captain Obvious!). If you combine two of the ponies into one and wind up making three, you'll pretty much get the Powerpuff Girls in terms of personality. Here's what I mean:
Twilight Sparkle and Rarity combined would make Blossom.
Pinkie Pie and Flutter Shy combined would make Bubbles.
Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack combined would make Buttercup.
Would you guys agree with me there?
