To start things off, I already KNOW that Disney is most likely not going to do this, and I also KNOW that I won't be able to do this. I'm just posting this topic to give you some ideas. If Disney were to make a 101 Dalmatians 3, this is how I think it should go if it were to be made.
As we all know, Pongo and Perdita are the parents of the 99 puppies. They started out with 15 puppies, but not very many puppies got much spotlight in any variation of 101 Dalmatians.
The original movie focused mostly on Pongo and Perdita, and the puppies didn't get very much recognition other than background characters. Well, there were a few pups who stood out and did stuff, but that's not saying much.
Now, the TV series, focused primarily on three of the 99 puppies, all three of which were coincidentally part of Pongo and Perdita's original litter. We did see a few pups every now and then throughout the series, and all of those happened to be part of the original litter too. Well, with the exception of Tripod and Duke, but that's another story.
Now, 101 Dalmatians 2 seemed to focus mostly on Patch, and not many of the other Dalmatians got a lot of screentime other than him...which of course is likely to piss off a lot of hardcore fans who have certain obsessions with certain Dalmatians. *sarcasm*
Anyway, on to the topic. If Disney were to make a 101 Dalmatians 3, and it were up to me to decide on how it would go, I would like to see it go somewhat like this.
I would like it to focus on more than just a few characters, and try to give more characters a fair share. By this, I mean I'd like the movie to focus on Pongo and Perdita as well as all fifteen of the pups from their original litter. By this, I mean Lucky, Rolly, Patch, Penny, Freckles, Pepper, Salter, Wizzer, Dipstick, Two-Tone, Jewel, Cadpig, Blackie, Whitie and Fidget. I know that sounds like an awful lot of characters. Obviously, I don't want them all to be constantly shown throughout the whole movie, but I'd like each of them to get an equal amount of screentime, and each one to play an important role in the film.
As for the setting and where it will take place in the time of events, I'd like it to take place obviously after Patch's London Adventure but before the events of The Starlight Barking. It could be either during the time of the TV series or after the TV series, because, as I've already established earlier, Patch's London Adventure takes place during the time of the TV series in the timeline of events. Of course, since this is a movie, I'd like to keep it consistent with the movies and have the film set in England, rather than do like what they did with the TV series by setting it in the United States, which made it totally contradict the movies.
As for the plot, well, I guess it could be about Cruella, who had been released from prison to start a new hobby, but we will find out later in the film that she's still trying to skin the puppies. And of course, as you guess, it's the Dalmatians' job to save the day.
As for the cast...if possible, I'd like the Dalmatians to be voiced by the same actors who voiced them in the series. This would include Kevin Schon as Pongo, Pam Dawber as Perdita, Pamela Aldon as Lucky, Kath Soucie as Rolly and Cadpig, Tara Strong as Two-Tone, Christine Cavanaugh as Wizzer, and so on. I know Christine Cavanaugh retired from her acting career, but this might be a great opportunity for her to come out of retirement. I mean, that's been done before.
I'd also like the writers and the director of this movie to maybe be the same team who worked on the series. That would really win my heart.
So anyway, if 101D3 were to get made, that's how I'd like it to be. I welcome any comments, and if you have any other ideas, feel free to share them. Have a nice day, everyone.
