One of my favourite shows. I'm literally watching it right now. Howard is my favourite, tough I think Sheldon's the funniest of them all.

We've got a thread for this sort of thing. It's the "Crossover Thread" that you can find in the Misc section.
Okay? ;3

I don't see it at all. I have mixed feelings on the show. It can be really funny, but it's often more laughing at nerds than laughing with nerds. I've also no idea what I think of Sheldon and his relationship with his friends. I'm all for complicated comedic friendships - I love Cruella and Anita - but Sheldon's friends seem to either let him be really annoying when they shouldn't or act overly harsh to him when they shouldn't. They need to pick a personality when it comes to him, or have an explanation for all the mixed signals they give him. And Sheldon himself gets on my nerves and it takes a lot for a character to get on my nerves, even though he's often the funniest part of the show. What the writers want you to think of Sheldon, I really don't know.

I sort of agree, I can't see how Lucky is like Sheldon. Crossover ideas mainly work to match Characters Personality. Not just cause they're the main character.
Lucky is a courageous, yet egotistical Pup, but shows he cares for his friends. Sheldon is smug, has little understanding of others feelings, and as Leonard says "A Lab accident away from a super villain", but does have his moments of kindness. I like the show and feel Sheldon's character is a bit Autistic. He may sound a bit rude to others, but it's implied that he doesn't know he's upsetting them. However, when he realises his friends are genuinely upset with him, he always tries to Patch things up and he often tries to avoid others arguing. The way he acts is a bit like a child trapped in an older body. Sheldon can be nice, he just hasn't developed proper social skills yet.
What you Pups think?

But autistic people CAN LEARN SOCIAL SKILLS, and Sheldon's friends usually don't understand that at all which causes him to be very bratty or very distressed, or both, depending on the episode. I wouldn't go out to eat with someone who complained about the amount of appetizers not being an exact divisible number that couldn't be changed anyway because he said so himself! I'd tell him to get over it, and he wouldn't get over it. I don't hate him or anything, I just find him frustrating a lot of the time. I'm autistic, but I'm of average intelligence and not talented with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects*, and I have my emotional high-maintenance adventures but I don't know any autistic person older than age of elementary school age who is as much of a chronic complainer as Sheldon is. The chronic complaining is plain annoying to me. It wouldn't be if it weren't so ... chronic and constant. I'm sure that's the main part of the element of annoyance I have with Sheldon and the show in general. And I do like a lot of the show's humor and storylines, don't get me wrong! I was watching Jim parsons interviews lastnight on YouTube and in one he said he's gay can you beleave that mr Sheldon cooper is gay this is just an FYI I wanted to pass along I knew the actor was gay. Sheldon Cooper, the fictional character, doesn't experience attraction exactly. He shows interest in Amy and, to a lesser extent, Penny, but not attraction. *Yeah, I can't really relate to the show was my point in mentioning that. Not that one has to relate to a show to enjoy it, but it is a bonus and the circumstances make it a bit awkward for me.

I'm Autistic too though, as are Belchic & Chels. ;3 I am still able to laugh and understand Sheldon's cases though. We may be able to learn the Skills, however there are some who aren't able to. Although, Has it been confirmed whether Sheldon is Autistic or not?

We may be able to learn the Skills, however there are some who aren't able to. I'm sure Sheldon is capable of learning the world doesn't revolve around him. Life itself teaches almost everybody this. Intellectually, he knows it, which is already something. Although, Has it been confirmed whether Sheldon is Autistic or not? No, and it never will be officially confirmed. It would complicate the comedy too much if they came out and said it.
