With 'Pound Puppies', I think Patches is somewhat the Hero or Lance in the SSPC, since he's often the leader of the Club and is usually the one who comes up with the plans. I argue that he's not. The SSPC is kind of seperate from the main 5. Besides, Patches was a character addition for the 2nd season. He belongs as the Sixth Ranger. True, but I can only assign one to each member. Also, Lucky has to be the Only Sane one because he's the leader. Rolly I think deserves to be the Butt Monkey because he gets picked on more often than Spot really. As for Cadpig, of those four, would you say she would come the closest to being the Pervert?

I just thought of something! Remember how 101 Dalmatians: The Series was originally going to have five main pups? And they replaced Patch and Penny with Spot? Well, if the original plan came to be, these main pups would have made up a perfect Five Man Band: The Hero - Lucky The Lancer - Rolly The Smart Guy - Cadpig The Big Guy - Patch The Chick - Penny But this also brings up a lot of questions: Would Patch have looked the way he does in the series or in the movies? If he was done in movie version, he would have been the Lancer, and Rolly would have been the Big Guy. Also, if Patch was in movie version, would Lucky have still been the leader, or would Patch have been the leader? If Patch was the leader, he would have been the Hero making Lucky the Lancer. Any thoughts on this? From what I know about the existing franchises, it's more likely that the characters would have been their series counterparts. In Dodie Smith's book, the only characterized puppies were Lucky, Patch, Roly-Poly and the Cadpig. When they made the 1961 animated movie, Patch was basically Lucky's character, and Lucky was basically Cadpig. Penny was more or less what TV Tropes calls a "Suspiciously Similar Substitute" for Cadpig.

Yeah, Patch was mainly given Lucky's 'Novel' Personality in the "Animated Films". Lucky was usually the one who was either easily distracted or was weak to get far distances.
Although, There was that scene of Sibling Rivalry, where the method that they discover the Soot Disguise is Lucky & Patch fighting in the Soot Pile, whilst in the 'Novel' it was Roly-Poly playing in the Soot. Right?

I have some kind of an update for you guys. I know that Trey listed a lot of 5 Man Bands with characters classified as "The Bumblebee". However, I think TV Tropes made an update, and it's now called "Kid Appeal Character". You can read about it here: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/KidAppealCharacter
