I'm talking about the new movie that was just released. I just got back from seeing it with my cousins (who are well.. older than me XD). And we all had a BLAST at it! Of course, they were the loudest people in the theater XDDD There wasn't a part that could disappoint, least not to me. It was funny throughout the whole film, pretty much smiling the whole time It had the old school muppets feel while including some more modern features, but it did NOT go overboard with them ;3 So if you're a fan of the older, nostalgia muppets, you will NOT be disappointed with this movie! <3

Definitely gonna see this during the week. Right now, it is just to crowded. I don't wanna go at a time where everybody is going and I could miss out on getting a chance for a Pass or sit in some Horrible seat. I will be going on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. When I am sure I don't have to absolutely rush to get a good seat.

I will say this...
This movie is most certainly worth the ticket price.
It managed to do something that Jim Henson would have been happy with: it's funny, witty and heartfelt. Since 1999's Muppets From Space they've been missing that.
For the new Muppet on the block, Walter, I think he will probably fit in just fine.
Another thing that I thought was nice was the fact that the Muppet cast was pretty much synergized. On top of that there was one sequence devoted to Pepe the King Prawn (the problem I have isn't so much that doesn't have the other Muppets' tenure but because he's a little annoying).
So yeah. See it now.

Just got back from seeing this movie, and it's definitely worth the money! I hope this'll be the beginning of a new trilogy of Muppet movies! I've seen all the theatrical Muppet movies, and none of them seemed to disappoint with the exception of maybe Muppet Treasure Island. Although one thing I do miss is Frank Oz voicing his respective characters; Fozzie sounded so obviously different in this movie. I would like to see Mr. Oz come out of retirement to voice him and Miss Piggy again.
Overall, an excellent movie. It also gave me a great idea for a 101D fanfic for the whole board to work together on. PM me if you'd like to hear it!

Oh yes, I saw this yesterday as well with Alfie and another friend of ours, and we were all so pleased by it. I was pleasantly surprised; it was funny, it was heartwarming, it was seriously everything I expected it to be and I can honestly say, I was NOT disappointed. =)
I agree with you on Fozzie, though. I've been doing tons of research on the puppeteers (I got a book last year around this time about all the puppeteers & Sesame Street's history) and I could clearly hear Eric Jacobson (Fozzie's current puppeteer & Grover on Sesame Street)'s Grover voice dripping into Fozzie. It was distracting me throughout the whole film. XD

I just found out this movie won an Oscar for Best Original Song, and ironically, the song in question just so happened to be by least favorite part of the movie.

Well, After over three months since it came out in America; Muppets was released a couple of weeks ago in the UK. My Sister, her Fiancée and I went to see it on it’s open day. We really Enjoyed it. Although, did note, there wasn’t much Rizzo, That Prawn or the Bunny.
Although, we also agreed; Frank Oz might regret that he didn’t do the film now, considering the positive feedback it’s been getting.
Is the song you’re referring to “Man or a Muppet”, Belchic? You’re least fav? My Sister & I actually enjoyed that song. =3 My Sister especially did a gasp of joy, when Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory appeared. X3
Although, I think my least fav song would be; The Rap number. But, I think that song was intentionally meant to be bad.
That’s what I like on this Movie, it’s so tongue in cheek and they know it! They’re like “You don’t have to take this seriously…”
Nemo is right too, if you’re a Fan of the Classic Muppets (anything before the 1990’s), you will definitely love this movie.
I do wonder though, would this Movie be a bit of a Backdoor Pilot for a New Series, if they could?

Well due to the underperformance of The Muppets Most Wanted, it kinda looks like the Muppets may have serious doubt in cinema. But not to worry: ABC has expressed interest in having them come back for a new TV series. www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/abc-eyes-muppets-series-from-'big-bang'-co-creator-bill-prady-and-bob-kushell/ar-AAap1xZ?ocid=ansDeadline11

I did like how the sequel poked fun at the fact that it's not supposed to be as good as the original. I just want to see them do one more theatrical Muppets film for this trilogy. Even if it does suck, I don't care. I just want to see a complete trilogy.
