I've been busy with a job hunt and I'm trying to adjust to a new labtop that doesn't have AOL on it yet.
Not surprised to see Dodge go. Ever since Penske announced they were leaving there were doubts about the company's committment. Rumor has it the new Italian ownership at Fiat want the racing budget spent instead on the new 2013 Viper road racing program (good luck with that given how many Americans watch road racing).
Hopefully the Mopars will eventually return. If not I'd like to see a new brand come in, I've heard a lot of rumors NASCAR would love to get Volkswagen involved (Nissan and Honda are eligible but uninterested, Kia's too small). Maybe they could convince Ford or GM to bring back a brand, Lincoln is probably about to die off but GM could start racing Buicks again (the brand needs a boost in the USA, it survived based largely on its Chinese sales).

The new Aussie-imported Chevrolet SS is supposed to fill that role and replace the Impala for next year isn't it?

Yes it is but if Buick came they should have a sports car like Cadillac with the CTS-V

You don't need a sports car, the Fusion isn't much of a performance car even if you get the Sport version and the Toyota Camry is one of the most boring cars on the road. Taking them racing is what makes them cool.
Buick hasn't had a real performance car since the muscle Regal GNX left production, the Raetta had the looks but no go to match the show.
