Very cool.
I know that A Christmas Carol parodies are more or less a dime a dozen, but I still like this one.
And hey, it has to be good enough if Disney released it on commerical VHS.

No offense to the fans, but I hated this episode. Not only is it one of the worst of the series, but I find it to be one of the worst Christmas Carol parodies I've ever seen. It's on par with Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO "A Christmas Cruella" (along with "101 Dalmatians The Series" as a whole). X3
I actually find the Episode to be very good myself! =3
It provides some Backstory to Cruella and you see some sympathy due to her neglecting Parents. Also, you see plenty of BG Pups during this. One of the Best Episodes in my Opinion.
And like Trey said, Not only is it good they released it on VHS, But it's also the only episode, so far, to get an Official Disney DVD release. So we can at least say, "101 Dalmatians The Series" has got on DVD. Right? ;3

Still, one measly episode is NOT the entire series. It's not enough to satisfy me. That's like comparing a full-fledged banquet to just a crumb of bread that's ABC (if you know what I mean).

Some thoughts I wrote somewhere else:
I.
Cruella never hated Christmas.
“Oh, how I love Christmas! Such a joyous celebration of capitalism!”
And THAT is how the Scrooge character SHOULD be written. It’s silly to think a rich and corporately successful character would hate Christmas, with all of the holiday’s material value.
II.
The whole reason Cruella became so angry on Christmas Eve night and thus in the Scrooge role was because she felt like Anita not working for her on Christmas Day was an abandonment. This feeling was caused by Cruella’s parents repeatedly abandoning her on Christmas. That’s also why she was more clingy than her usual clinging to Anita in December.
~
I was going to write more, but I've been on an emotional roller-coaster all day due to current stress in my life, so I've been distracted. Personally, I love this episode. I love any episode that gives more insight into Cruella.
Belchic, I don't hate any episode, I'm just not interested in some. Hate is a strong word and a lot of energy to spend. Are there reasons you hate it? "It's the worst [something]" doesn't explain anything.

Actually, Cruella makes that claim cause of the Capitalism part. Scrooge on the other hand doesn't see any profit in it and even comments to his nephew that factor, but his nephew protests that even though it'snever put a penny in his pocket, he feels Christmas has done him good and blesses it. Scrooge spent most his youth alone and neglected on Christmas, he met the love of his life, but she dumped him after she realised that his money was worth more to him, his partner in business passed on Christmas too. Scrooge had simply retired robe with his riches and became a recluse, the fellow just wanted to be kept in peace.
It is a very good story, for the character analysis and social commentary if the time, that you can see why it's been adapted so may times.
But like you say Ella, I like how "Christmas Cruella" does give some backstory to Cruella and you can likely see why she wanted Dalmatians to be the animal for her coat in the original plan, eh? =3 I remember when Olwe visited me during the summer, the night before he went home, we watched the episode together, In French. X3
Does anyone notice when Wizzer does his name sake, you hear the ringing from 'Bewitched'?
