My Sister has just shown be a Preview for "Frozen", brought to us by the Weather Channel of all people!
It didn't really tell us anything on the Plot or the Leads, It was mainly more about (who I presume to be) the Comic Relief Character, who is a Snowman. By itself, the Preview feels like a Short Featurette before a Film, for the Plot itself though...not entirely sure as of this moment.
Any other Pups seen this preview?

I actually just watched that trailer a couple minutes ago! I have a feeling though that it's just a teaser or a short feature and not an actual trailer itself.

More reviews are coming in now that Monsters University is in theatres (it was supposed to come out last week but I think they pushed it back so Man of Steel doesn't completely steamroll over it).
It is "Fresh"... it has a score of 77% on Rotten Tomatoes. Obviously it won't be anyone's favorite from Pixar but it kinda feels like it wasn't trying to do that as much as make a light, fun college movie.
...Still not sold I'll probably just wait for Despicable Me 2.

I guess. In both my local newspapers the respective critics gave it 3 stars, generally saying "it earns a passing grade".
A problem that is evident is because it's a prequel, obviously the movie will feature Mike and Sulley but Boo is not going to be in it. That's a problem because it loses its emotional core and won't threaten to emotionally involve you with the characters. That's why say they it probably won't be a favorite: it loses its heart but at least it's fun.

I'm personally going to skip Monsters U and wait for Despicable Me 2. I'll just wait for the DVD. One thing I don't understand though us that when Monsters U was first announced, everyone had doubts about it, but ever since this month started, everyone was like, "OH, I'M SO EXCITED, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT!" Like, why? What made these people all of a sudden change their mind?

I've heard one of the reasons they made the "Monsters University" prequel is so that they don't have to undo the happy ending from the first film.

Any opinion on "Turbo," as said it looks just crazy enough this could work... www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sjzBa3kVQMThis flick already has a "Penguins of Madagascar" spinoff coming, Netflix ordered a series called "Turbo F.A.S.T." for this fall. I saw real IndyCar racer Will Power's car in the trailer (black-and-white Verizon #12), I wonder if he's got a cameo...Yes, his real name is Will Power and he's a race car driver. How's that for fitting.

If what Belchic says is true, that Mr. Peabody and Sherman is going to be released next year, it looks like will only have nine major animated films this year.
At least until I heard about this:
This movie is Free Birds, which will be released after Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 but before Frozen.
...I don't know it looks like it'll be this year's Bee Movie.

The premise of 'Free Birds' sounds...a bit silly and...over the top. O.o I recently heard that they're making a Lego Film by the same people from "Cloudy". Apparently, D.C Heroes will play a big part in it, if the Trailers are to be believed. Although, I hope it won't be like Seltzerberg where they have any character, whether it make sense or not, since people will recognise them. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPnY2NjSjrgIt's set to be released in 2014, although what your views on it?

Guys.
I just got back from Despicable Me 2.
My advice is, take your fears. And your doubts.
Now put them to sleep, because it's the first animated film of 2013 to step its game up!
I will have to try to put some thought into a review, but I will say it is the first animated film of this year to run out and see!
In fact I think I actually liked it better than the first movie!

Nice to hear some positive feedback on DM2, Trey. I'm going to go see it tonight, so now I'll know it's good. Though I won't get my hopes up for it being better than the original until after I see it.

When I went to see 'Man Of Steel' with my Sister, Dispicable Me 2 had to have been the Cinema Club Card sponsor because we got the DM2 Trailer...THREE TIMES! I am NOT Making that up! They showed the Trailer; THREE TIMES! I wouldn't mind if it was remotely different, but it was the exact same scene every time!
Although, According to my Sister, she heard that there was one parent who purchased a ticket for the film, right after seeing it. So, they saw the film twice!
Either the Trailers convinced them or it is good. Which is it?

Well, I just saw Despicable Me 2, and it turns out...Trey was right! Plus my expectations were met! It was indeed awesome! I'm not sure how AniMatt will rate it, but I hope he gives it a good score! I would probably rate each aspect of the movie like this:
Story: A Characters: A+ Animation: A+ Jokes: C+ Songs: A-
I also saw a preview for Free Birds. Now, if I was to go back to the beginning of the year, and I knew about all the official animated films to come out this year, here's what I would have said...
Escape from Planet Earth: Oh God! The Croods: Interesting. Epic: Uh-uh! Equestrian Girls: Wait, this'll be in theaters? Monsters U: I'll pass. Despicable Me 2: Yes! Turbo: Probably not. Planes: Might have potential. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2: WTF? Free Birds: Maybe. Frozen: Can't wait!
That look good?
