I just received an email, that says that the MSN messenger team is retiring the old messenger and I must upgrade to Skype. By March 15, it'll be dysfunctional. Not that this alarms me, since I'm barely online on my IM accounts but, I'll still be using the old messenger as well as Skype, though I will not use the webcam features of it. Alrighty then. Ah, Yeah! I remember Shadow made a post like this a couple of months ago.
So, March 15 is the Date of the Skype then?
Wonder how it differs to MSN?

Wonder how it differs to MSN? It's VERY different from msn. Group chats are easier to organize, you can webcam or voice chat, etc. And honestly.. I think Skype is the superior instant messenger |3

I agree with Chels. I actually prefer Skype over MSN. But I didn't know they were gonna phase out MSN Messenger.

Well, now that I have a full-time job, I won't be on chat rooms much anymore, so I guess this won't affect me too much (I use YIM anyway).

I have Skype (PawsieNuzzle for those who'd like to add me), and while I use it rather infrequently, I enjoy it a lot. Like Chels said, it's really good for organized role-play and group chatting. The only downside to it, in my eyes, is that it costs money to organize group video calls between more than two people.
I also have Oovoo, which is kind of like Skype, except you can do multiple-person calls and it doesn't cost money.

If I find out I'll have more time to myself on certain days, I might give Skype a try.

Yeah :c they have free trials every so often, but only one-on-one video chat is free. We used to video chat a lot with Kitexa and Bri and we could never do it three-way on Skype unless there was a free trial going on, so we'd always have to use Oovoo instead.

Well, I think I might give Oovoo a try. Just to see what it's like.

Well, At least I know that when Skype takes MSN Torch, I can be able to talk to Chels & Paws. =3
Should we add our Skype Address to our Members Info?
