I don't think they are allowed to ask you to "prove your disability" because of American anti-discrimination laws. Give'em a month or three to work the bugs the out and see how it goes.
That Disney trip actually was really fun, I'm almost certain that was 1999 because we went to the then brand-new Animal Kingdom. I think that's the last time I took a Disney-focused vacation, the family and I went back to Orlando a few years ago but that was more to see family (My aunt and uncle live there and another pair summer there but we only did EPCOT and MGM Studios that time, we kind of outgrew the Magic Kingdom and focused on other attractions in the area like NASA's Cape Canaveral)

Didn't they say they were no longer doing the handicapped things since people were abusing them? Well, I guess the next time babclayman comes to a Disney park with his family, it won't be the same as it was last time.

@bab: This change to my knowledge is only affecting rides (and maybe in building shows?) but not parades. THough I could use the disability documentation myself.. for some reason my parents don't feel like we should use it >>; @race: You are correct they're not allowed to ask. Belchic: You'll want to read the article I linked recently, it explains everything. But the biggest change is that handicapped guests with the GAC card will NO longer be getting on the ride immediately through special entryways.

They don't ask us to prove it, per say, We usually head to the Reception to get the Card. We show them the Documentation to show that we're genuine and not one of these Fake ones.
Like Races say, give or take a couple of months and they'll iron it out, so it works proper again. Maybe they get trained to tell genuine documentation from fake ones, etc?

Still, I hear they are discontinuing them anyway for the sake of the fakers.
