Wait a minute. The title of this topic is misleading. Wasn't the original an Anime too?
Another thing I'm hoping for is that Ash will actually capture more Pokemon, and they won't have weird personality traits like... -Refusing to go into the Pokeball -Choosing not to evolve -Ignoring Ash's orders when they evolve.

well since this is Red and not Ash the Pokémon won't do that.

Yeah, It's a Retelling of the Anime. So it's not really misleading is it?
And yeah, If this is based more on Red, The Trainer will be more competent and also his Pokemon will obey him (so long they're not at a Level that his Gym Badges allow, right?)

So wait...the trainer is named Red, and his rival is named Blue? I guess that makes sense. Since in the original, it was Ash and Gary. I guess maybe they'll do this again 15 years from now, and they'll be named Jack and John.
One question I still have, though: Is this only going to be based on the Red version of Pokemon, or both versions combined?

Well, Red & Blue are sort of the Same Game, so it is possible they may be a mixture.
Yellow is based more on the Anime, correct?

You are right on both terms bab. Yellow is based more on the Anime. Red and Blue are technically the same game, but they have some slight differences; the main one being that there are some Pokemon in the Blue version that are not in the Red version and vice versa.

@two-Tone not to mention that Pokemon could die, and you can actually see their blood.

@shawn - yeah I knew that which is why I made the mention of the true Lavender Town Pokémon Tower unlike the haunted house Ash went into to get Haunter. Best odds we'll see Marowak's ghost (or GHOST itself before Red gets the Silph Scope)

Now this is an interesting bit of news. Brock and Misty are back! Well in a cameo of sorts as Ash returns to Kanto from Alola to visit and battle his old travel companions.

Ah, So Red is appearing in this film then? We actually get a competent trainer as the lead, are we? O.O Are they rebooting the Anime or is this just a special?

Do not quote me on this, but I think the post above is a Spam Bot, which is just quoting some thing, which I posted, literally Six years ago!
I shall do some thing on that Spam Post.
Though, on the case of Pokemon, they seem to be doing Films, which seem to give an Alternate Telling to Ash's early days as a Pokemon Trainer. You hear of those Films, Pups!?
