I felt like starting a topic about this show. I'd like to know who else is interested in checking this show out.
This is a new animated series that will be airing on the Disney Channel on September 13. It's going to star Jack MacBrayer and April Winchell voicing the two leads, and it's created by Craig McCracken. I'm going to check out the first episode when it airs, and if I think it's any good, I'll let you guys know.

Okay, so I got a chance to see the pilot episode of this show. And to be honest...this show looks like it has promise.
It's definitely Craig McCracken at his finest. If you love "The Powerpuff Girls" and "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends", I think you'll enjoy this show. It seems to have the artwork style and humor of PPG, but the character designs and slapstick of FHFIF.
The protagonist, Wander, is supposed to be annoying, but he's tolerable enough to be considered funny (I think he's hilarious). The antagonist, Lord Hater, reminds me a lot of Mojo Jojo in so many ways, and the connection between him and Wander kind of give an impression that this show is supposed to be like a buddy comedy. Wander's sidekick, Sylvia, doesn't have much development as a character though, since in the pilot, she just comes in at the very end, and we don't really learn anything about her yet...which leaves you anxious to see the next episode hoping in vain you'll get to see more of her.
Overall, I did enjoy the pilot episode, and I think I'll definitely start and continue to watch this show regularly once it premieres on September 13!

I got to catch this episode to. To me.. Wander's voice was a bit annoying, but it's something I'll get used to

I think Wander is SUPPOSED to be annoying. But you do know he's voiced by Jack MacBrayer, the guy who voiced Fix-It Felix Jr. on Wreck-It Ralph, right? I'm glad to see other pups are watching this show as well. I actually like it a lot, and that's surprising, because Foster's made me wish I was watching the PPG's instead, but this show actually made me feel welcome into this generation of cartoons. I'm looking forward to the next few episodes, because I'm curios if Wander and Sylvia will have some good chemistry together.

This show definitely invokes a certain nostalgia. I was young when I watched PPG so I don't remember it much aside from having some merchandise, but I watched Foster's in the heat of it's heyday and I loved it. There's even an episode that my mom thinks is absolutely hilarious. I saw the premier of Wander Over Yonder and I did enjoy it quite a bit. A little random, but that's how most pilots are. I unfortunately can't catch the premier tonight because of marching band (and even if I was around tonight I'd most likely be watching the new Korra instead), so I'm hoping it'll either be On Demand tomorrow or they'll be rerunning it.

Well, now that I've gotten a chance to see this show in its full potential, I think I can say that this will easily make it onto my favorite cartoons list!
I got a chance to see Sylvia more as a character. She and Wander do have some chemistry. Sylvia's kind of a badass in terms of personality. She's also the brains and the brawn of the duo. I think she's perfect as Wander's sidekick/steed/girlfriend. Man, Sylvia is like an all-in-one character! I hope they don't wind up dropping her from the show later on if Craig McCracken recieves letters about her being a Mary Sue!
Overall, great show. I highly reccomend it!

I just found out from watching the end credits that Lauren Faust is the co-producer and story editor of this series. I guess when she left FIM, this was one of the projects she was working on. I guess she and Craig do work together on these things.

Yeah, but it does kind of suck that it's only 15 minutes at a time.

Since this new year started, I've noticed there weren't anymore new episodes airing. That is until I found out the series had moved to Disney XD. So now, I'm back to watching it. Wow. I never thought it would happen, but I am now watching a show on Disney XD!

Anyone else watch the latest episode? Notice the shout out to the Powerpuff Girls at the end?

I only just now saw an episode or two, after having watched War of the Worlds, (1953 edition), the episode where Hater becomes good after some cephalopod scenario and another where clearly they tried to mimic Batman given Wander's gritty voice and the antagonist's kooky behavior a la 50's/60's Joker.
Weird show but tolerable indeed and I thought Wander's voice sounded familiar. Sylvia's does too. Hater, (just based on the commercial I saw the past weekend), is indeed reminiscent of Mojo-Jojo, except less talky-talky, and more doing.
I'd put it above most of CN's lineup but SU is still above it imo
