Nemo is a small dalmatian pup who wears a black collar. Her eyes are blue and her nose is black. She has a pretty basic spot pattern, but has a jagged "X" shaped patch on her left eye and a white crossbones spot on her left ear. Both of her ears are black and so is her hind left paw. Nemo is never seen without her skull logo beanie hat, because underneath the hat her hair is very messy. She is the same exact height and weight as Cadpig.
Nemo's Personality:
Because of Nemo's upbringing, she appears to have a rough exterior. Since she's not afraid to call someone out if she feels they're being rude with her, if she sees something 'wrong', or vice versa. But when one gets to familiarize themselves with her, Nemo isn't as bad as she first appears. In fact, Nemo is a rather sociable and friendly pup once someone befriends her. Not to mention that she is extremelly loyal and would have your back through thick and thin. She may throw out the occassional joke, but if you ask her to stop she will. Nemo is also trustworthy and can keep a secret. Also, it is strongly advised to not ask if you can wear her hat or try to take it from her. This will send the runt in a fit of anger since her hat is like her prized possession. One of Nemo's characteristics or 'gimmicks' as she calls it, is that she is able to pull objects out of her hat, no matter what said object is. Nemo really loves donuts, her favorites being frosted because during her street days she would steal them from a trash bin next to the Donut Shop. Oh and she loves to watch TV and play videogames when she gets time. If it wasn't obvious Nemo is a tomboy, detesting pretty much anything girly. Nemo has a general curiosity for the paranormal.
Physically Nemo is possibly one of the strongest and fastest pups on the farm. Since she was small Nemo had to train regularly by running laps and she would also train by having practice (and some cases serious) matches against other street dogs. As a result the runt quickly learned how to fight and how to defend herself. Despite her small stature all of her training makes her a rather formidable opponent. But Nemo does have a couple weaknesses. The first weakness being if she was trapped in the air somehow, wether by being thrown up or having to jump off of something high. Her other weakness is her tail. It's small but it's more sensitive to pain than the rest of her body. Nemo isn't the type to give up on anything (fight or general task), even when she's clearly at defeat she refuses to 'lose'. It's because the runt is quite stubborn. Thanks to her street life, Nemo knows how to steal goods with ease.
A flaw in Nemo's personality, is that she is easily jealous of others. In particularly she's jealous of those who have sibling-like relationships with each other. This is because she's never had an actual sibling (aside from her 'brother' Spike). Another of her flaws is that Nemo does not like receiving help from others. When others offer Nemo help, she feels offended and that they're asking because she's a runt and or think she's weak. She prefers to handle problems and situations on her own because that's all she knows. But thinking deeper into it, Nemo more than likely wants to to do stuff on her own because of the night she had to flee the streets, since she was unable to help her friend Spike. So she wants to make up and prove she can do stuff on her own by refusing help, even when she clearly needs it. At times she struggles with handling and dealing with her own emotions. As a result Nemo tends to bottle things up and rarely seek advice or someone to vent to. Whenever she seeks aid though, it's usually only Cadpig or Kendra she'll go to. After a bit of time on the farm Nemo has gotten into a rivalry with a well known female on the farm, Diana.
Nemo's Biography:
Before we can talk about Nemo, we have to talk about her parents and their story. Both of which are dalmatians, their names are Jagger (dad) and Hecate (mom). The two older dogs are leaders of a well known (and probably the most infamous) dog gang within the town of Grutely. The two dalmatians have 8 other members in their gang. These other members being: a Doberman, an Irish Setter, an American Bulldog, a Pitbull, a Labrador/Bullmastiff Mix, a Golden Retriever/Siberian Husky Mix, a Doberman/Rottweiler Mix, and a Chihuahua/Airedale Terrier mix. All of these dogs have one thing in common with each other, abandonment. Each one abandoned by their owners for various reasons. But Jagger was abandoned because he had attacked his owner. An adult male after the human had smacked his face for trying to save the human's daughter, a 22 month old who fell off of her parents' bed by diving under the girl to cushion her fall. Jagger saved the girl from harm, however when trying to get up the child had accidentally fallen off his back and bumped her head against the edge of the bed, thus cutting her forehead. The man heard his daughter's cries and came in, tried to put to and to together, thinking Jagger had attacked his child, he smacked his dog across the face. That smack alone made Jagger snap, and bit his human's arm. Which resulted in the dog being thrown out onto the street. Hecate's story is different. She never wanted to be confined to a human's home, she wanted to be 'wild and free.' The female detested being coddled and pampered like a dress up doll. Plus she hated the strict rules that pets had. So growing sick of the pet live, Hecate ran away from home, seeking adventure and excitement. This excitement she would soon find when meeting another dalmatian, Jagger.
The two dalmatians immediately bonded, since both had went through different forms of abuse. So they traversed throughout the streets of Grutely, surviving off of tossed out food and whatever they could steal from food stands outside. Jagger and Hecate did this for years, and throughout their time would meet each of their future gang members. One by one the group got larger until there were 10 of them. Each of their stories connecting together, then 10 dogs formed a friendship, a pack-like mentality as well. Of course since it was Jagger and Hecate that brought them together, the two dalmatians were dubbed as the leaders of the gang. The group would cause trouble throughout the city, from stealing food to chasing and attacking other animals who dare look at them wrong, as if driven by revenge because of what their humans did to them. This is why they did what they did at first. But after a couple years of 'venting their frustrations', the gang's mentality changed. The dogs enjoyed and had fun doing what they did and saw nothing wrong with it. Because of their actions Hecate and Jagger's gang started to become infamous to the city's animal control, and of course to the city animals as well. As a result, there is one specific alleyway (with a wooden fence dividing the city streets and a junkyard) that most animals, and people refuse to go in out of fear of being attacked…. or killed. Hecate, Jagger, and their gang have become ruthless, and at points cruel beings. But no less, the female dalmatian considers herself and her lover Street Royalty, dubbing herself and himself the Queen and King of the streets.
Now we fast forward to a typical evening between the adult dalmatians. Having a wild night and having some 'fun.' Hecate and Jagger thought nothing would happen, since nothing had happened before the other times they had fun. But after two months one night the dalmatians had to leave their hangout for a while. Because surprise, Hecate would give birth to a tiny, single female puppy, a 'runt' to be precise. Instead of being happy their offspring miraculously survived, the puppy's mother did the unthinkable. Picking up the runt by the scruff of her neck, she dumped the pup into a nearby trash can. Hecate didn't want to deal with having a child, much less she didn't want to have to explain this to their other gang members, and lastly she felt the child was too 'weak' in her eyes. Jagger felt similar to Hecate about the scenario, but to a smaller degree. So after disposing the puppy, Hecate and Jagger went back to the gang's home base without looking back. The newborn puppy began to whimper and cry. These cries didn't go unheard. These cries had been heard inside of a mouse hole right next to the trash can. Soon, a young mouse child scurried out of the hole to find the source of the noise. The child quickly called his parents over to find out what was making that sound. And with all of their effort, the three mice tipped the trash can over and found out where the noise was coming from, a puppy! Filled with concern the mouse parents helped carry the newborn inside their home. From that day forth, that dalmatian puppy would be raised by the mouse family as their own child alongside their mouse son, Spike. Adopting the puppy, the mouse parents decided to name the pup Nemo. Two days after "disposing" their child, Hecate and Jagger headed back to the alley where they dumped Nemo, wondering if the newborn survived. Digging through the garbage trying to find her, the adult dalmatians had no luck. They assumed the puppy probably died so Hecate and Jagger went back to their gang and told them what had happened.
From that moment on, Nemo would be raised by the mouse family that found, and essentially saved her life. Nemo and Spike bonded together and were truly the best of friends. Despite being siblings, they rarely, if ever argued with one another. Being a street animal Nemo had to learn a lot of tough lessons very quickly. The tiny pup had to learn how 2 essential skills: how to fight and how to run. Nemo would train by herself, or with her family in one of the city parks doing laps to increase her speed. The tiny pup would also get training in how to fight from other street animals, including non-gang affiliated dogs. But to her family's surprise Nemo would excel quickly in her fighting skills and her speed as well. And they would learn in an encounter in the park, that size doesn't matter. Nemo would face a fight against a stray Boxer who was trying to steal an old woman's purse. The tiny dalmatian was able to fight off the large canine and sent the Boxer fleeing. Aside from this event though Nemo and Spike would regularly get into fights with other dogs for fun, more than often overpowering them. One particular incident where they trumped a victory from 4 dogs against themselves But stopping a thieving Boxer doesn't quite make Nemo a hero. Because life on the street, you had to steal in order to survive.
Nemo's parents would teach her the basic skills to creative thievery, and also how to negotiate with the other street animals. Nemo and Spike would commonly go out together to steal food for the family. Mainly hitting the outdoor fruit stands and trash bins just outside grocery stores. Commonly they would hit the Donut Shop, which Nemo would quickly learn was her favorite snack. The two would sometimes beg right outside the shop in the evening, and if the manager saw any leftover he would give them to the two friends in a doggybag. One evening while scouring for food in the trash bin next to an electronics store Nemo found a black beanie cap with a white skull logo on the front. She took the hat out and put it on her head, falling in love with it so she decided to keep it. The pup even thought of the 'distraction thief' method for herself and Spike. Where Spike would go into the store casually and scare the people nearby, since most humans are afraid of mice. While doing this Nemo would grab whatever she could in her hat and in her mouth. Outside of fighting Nemo and her mouse brother would go out and steal whatever they could for fun, and also to help the family of course. When not fighting or stealing the duo would roam around the town, looking in shopes from the windows. Sometimes even standing there for hours on end watching a TV show or watching kids playing games in the arcade. But sadly time would go by to where Nemo could no longer fit in the mousehole. So then she had to sleep outside in a cardboard box next to the hole. Both friends were sad when this time came. From then on Spike would sleep with his paw stretched out outside of the hole, while Nemo would sleep in her box right beside the hole, her paw stretched out as well. So that the mouse and dalmatian could sleep hand in hand every night. But the fun would come to a grizzling hault.
A couple weeks later Nemo was confronted by a dog gang that was rival's with her birth parents'. The leader was impressed when he saw her fight against the 4 other dogs, apparently observing it 'from the shadows.' He asked Nemo if she wanted to join, but the dalmatian pup refused and said that she 'works alone'. Then left the donut shop block with Spike riding on her head. Nemo would have no idea that her refusal would cause a devasting event to happen that very night. That night when Nemo was asleep, the dog gang from earlier had ambushed and attacked the young pup. Hearing her barks Spike hurried out of the home and tried to help Nemo fight them off. Nemo was facing off against the leader and 1 other member. She was trying to avoid their attacks but was clawed across the face and then headbutted in her stomach. After that impact she feintly heard Spike's voice yelling to her "run Nemo, just run! We can't take them!" Those words echoed in her head as she began to cry. Nemo didn't want to, but she heeded Spike's cries and ran down the street, following the road outside of the city. The leader and 1 of his members chased after Nemo, but stopped after she reached the city limits. The injured pup would limp, barely able to walk down the dirt country road. One day Nemo managed to make it to the Dearly farm, but she fell over, losing her strength after that night ambush. Curious pups on the farm saw the tiny body and gathered near to bare witness. Which in turn got the attention of Nanny while she was outside hanging laundry. The woman gasped in horror when she saw the bloody sight, she quickly scooped Nemo up and called the Vet. Quickly after arriving the vet was able to patch Nemo up and save her, the Dearly's decided to take Nemo in. Giving her her own black collar to make it official. Nemo isn't aware, but it's rumored her biological parents have decided to search for her after hearing talk of their rivals getting in a fight with a small dalmatian puppy 'who had a jagged x patch on her eye' and a mouse.
