I set it up to record, but there are no episodes to follow after that. It's also apparently going to be playing over and over and over for an entire week! Is this their idea of a new series?

I think that, while the Pilot Film itself shall be aird in August, the Duck Tales Show itself airs on the Twenty-Third of September!
It is kind of similar to how "Return Of The Rawr" aird, for Lion Guard, in November, before the Show itself begn in January.
You see what I mean, Belchic?

Okay, so I just saw the pilot episode to the DuckTales reboot, and here's what I have to say:
Well, it certainly is nice to see some old recognizable characters back. And it certainly has a lot of excitement. From what I understand, it looks like they are recreating the series but modernizing it and showing a different perspective.
David Tennant seems to do a very good job performing as Scrooge.
Donald seems like he's harder to understand than ever before.
I don't know if I like the Voices or personalities of Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby. They just don't fit the characters at all.
Also, there's a big surprise at the end of the episode that could lead to a story arc!
Overall, I'm satisfied with the pilot, and I can't wait to see the series when it airs next month!

I have jst seen the Pilot of; Duck Tales, and I can post that it is definatel a good strt for the coming Duck Tales Show!
It is able to give us a look in to those who are in it, with good use of humour, as well as setting up possible Mystery for the Story Arc of the Season!
While this is also a two partr, each part does work as its wn Episode, too; so, when they do air each part by themselves, you do not feel like you are mssing hlf of the Story!
There are also a number of Homages to the Eighties Duck Tales, too! There is a Scene, which you may see the head of Arm Strong, and also the Genie Lamp from the Duck Tales Film!
There are plans for an Episode, which shall have Dark Wing Duck; however, there are also some lines which suggest we may see Episodes or Cameos from othr Shows, too! In one Scene, you are able to hear the name; Sponer Ville, which is where Goof Trop is set, and Dewey also refers to Cape Suzette, which is where Tail Spin is set! So, It is possible, we may see appearances from those Shows, Eh?
The Voices are really good, too; though, I think many shall also agre that; David Tennant is REALLY good as Scrooge Mc Duck!
I think we have more Episodes coming, on the Twenty-Third of September! I look forward to seeing more of this Duck Tales.
What you think of the Pilot Film, Pups?

I don't think we'll be seeing Darkwing Duck, bab. Yes, they did mention St. Canard, indicating that both these shows are set in the same universe, but that doesn't mean we will see Darkwing Duck.
If I may ask, bab, what is it you like about the voices of the nephews?

Yes, I did say that. Michael Bell did say he recorded some lines as QuackerJack.
I do remember reading that DuckTales and Darkwing Duck are supposed to be alternate universes but this no longer seems to be the case.
If this is true, Bushroot is going to need a new voice actor though...

What I do hear is that both; Quacker Jack & Mg Volt are set to appear, in the Darkwing Duck Episode!
I also hear that a Dmo Reel Shows the Air Pirates Ship, from Tail Spin! Considering that Dewey refers to Cape Suzette and Webby's Board also has a News Paper Articl about some; "Sky Pirates", it is possible that there shall also be an Episode, which is a Crss Ovr with Tail Spin! There is also a scene, in which Spoonr Ville, in which Goof Trop is set, is refer to, too.
Do you think that it's possible that either Goofy, Mx or Pete may appear, in the coming Duck Tales, too, Pups?

Well, Roxanne did make a couple cameos in the pilot, so it is possible.

I just learn that, on Monday, it be the Thirty Year Aniversary of the; Eighties Duck Tales Show! Some thing tells me, that is part of the reason, as to why they air it, this week! The coming Episode of Duck Tales airs, on Friday! Some Videos have also appear of; Gyro, for the coming Duck Tales! It does seem he has some more issues with tempermnt, in the 2017 Duck Tales, than he is in the Eighties one, too! www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PsPxWqWbNkWe also have a Video of some Disney Channel Performers snging the; Duck Tales Number. We also see; Jim Cmmings, in the Video, hlding a Sign that reads; "Dark Wing Duck"; so, this does seem to imply that Jim Cmmings shall be the Voice of; Dark Wing Duck, again, too! www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUORUnP9sUoTrey has posted that; a number of Voices have reprse their Voices as Darkwing Duck Characters; do you think that Jim Cmmings shall voice Dark Wing Duck for the coming Duck Tales, too, Pups!?

I hope so, cause it would be fun to see Jim Cummings play as Darkwing Duck, but also as Negaduck as well.

So wait...is this supposed to be a reboot of DuckTales, or a reboot/crossover of every single classic Disney Afternoon show? (By classic, I mean the first 6.)

I am thinking that, with the coming Duck Tales, it is having a number of Disney Shows, set in the same Universe.
In the Pilot Episode, when we frst see; Scrooge Mc Duck, they refer to both Saint Canard, from Dark Wing Dark, and; Sponer Ville, from Goof Troop. When we also meet Dewey, he is trying to take Donald Duck's Boat to; Cape Suzzete, from Tail Spin; and, if you look at Webby's Board, you can see a News Paper article about Air Pirates!
I am thinking that, Duck Tales shall show anothr Continuity for, at leas, Dark Wing Duck & Tail Spin. It does make sense, since it is the Thirty Year Aniversary of the Disney Animation Shows, Eh?

It seems that; Magica De Spell is back in; Duck Tales!
We also have her Voice, and it is...CATHERINE TATE! Catherine Tate has also appear with David Tennant before, as Donna Noble, one of the companions to David Tennant's Tenth Doctor!
I do wonder if this is an intentionl Homage, to David Tennant & Catherine Tate, being in Doctor Who, together? What do you think, Pups!?
