aka "When Video Games Attack".
The movie came out and critics are hating it.
I plan to see the movie myself being a fan of video games and the 1980s. I have a feeling I will like it.

Hearing on this Film, it also has me think of; The Episode of; Futuram, when they ask ; What if the World is like a Video Game?
The Car case, does seem, a bit; Prodct Placemnt, and the Videos of it seem to show the climx of the Film, but, at leas, this Film doesn' seem like we are looking at; Adam Sandler's Vacation Video, Eh? ;3

Make sense now, bab?

Who gives a crap if the critics hate it? They're flat-out PAID to not really give a crap about the movie industry anyway, (they're paid to over-hype a trashy film and degrade something that MIGHT be worthwhile in the right perspective). I know it may be a bad film cause Adam Sandler, (let's face it, hasn't had a good rep recently), but I'm with Trey in saying that I'd love to see this film cause CLASSIC ARCADE! It's like taking the cameos of Wreck-It Ralph and making them the focus.....and overall the antagonists. I even made a comment on YouTube for one of the trailers with a #, (which I rarely use), going something along the lines of "Arcade is Back" And I know the comedy is at times gonna be stupid or ridiculous cause in one trailer they have Peter Dinklage slowly 'pounding' his chest going, "ooh ooh ooh ooh" like a monkey cause he's a pro at Donkey Kong. That and we also have THE creator of Pac-Man treating the 'alien' form of the yellow circle like a son and the giant PM bites his hand off and he just yells "SOMEBODY KILL THIS STUPID THING!" Though I do wonder where the Smurf comes into play. ^^; In short, if you go in expecting perhaps a stupid/ridiculous Adam Sandler comedy, (I haven't seen the film yet, but so want to), with LOTS of video Game references or jokes....I'm positive you'll like it.

I don't really want to see this movie but the car chase could be interesting. Like Bab guessed it is product placement. MINI just redid their main model and gave the filmmakers the prototypes they were going to just crush anyway to wreck onscreen.

In regards to the product placement, at least it wasn't a Smart Car. How could they avoid product placement anyway when they're asking for cars? Besides, far as I know it's not like they shove the icon right in the camera's lens.

Well, They kind of make a large deal of the Cars, in the previews. It's like; "Look at this Car Make!", it's the fact that they play up the Car Placmnt, in the preview.
It be like, if the preview for Man of Steel plays up the Food Chain, his friend works at, or the previews of; Ant Man discuss the Ice Cream scene too.
They tend to wai, for the Film, to show the Placmnt, nt the Preview of the Film, You Know? ;3

You do realize a chunk of Hollywood doesn't know how to advertise a film properly without giving too much right?
The car reveal is a slight example of this as is the fact they have to enter another world to finish the problem. I don't think showing at least those two solutions is a good idea. You could call the Mini Cooper a part of the example but the focus is more on the color or shape of the car and what it represents in the film. Besides unless you're drunk or a reckless idiot, you're not gonna be speeding through the streets like they are. You never can, usually.

What's that got to do with what I claim?
My point is; They play up the Product Placement, in the preview! And, if the Car wishes to make an advrt, base on the Film, then they do their wn advrt!
They could show us, with them in the Car, but they show the cars, as if we are looking at them, in a Show Room, with the lights, and the look like that. You see what I mean, Lupus?

How do you know it won't win any awards? Just because some people don't like it? I'd nominate it for Best Visual Effects!
