Okay, seriously, I think this Zootopia craze is going way too far now. People everywhere are calling the movie perfect, but I have to disagree with them. Don't get me wrong; the movie was great, and my expectations were really high before I went and saw it, but after I saw it, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. It was still good enough for me to give it a B, but not good enough for me to put it in my Top 20, and I think calling the movie "perfect" is quite a stretch! I had two main problems with the film: 1. There where times when it felt like it couldn't decide what genre it wanted to be. 2. There were a few clichés in it that I've seen way too many times in a lot of recent animated films. Now, I see that AniMatt has given the film a perfect score, which I don't think he has EVER done before! I'm probably not seeing something that everyone else is, and I think I know what it might be. A couple days ago, I saw MeltingMan234's review of the film, and he notes that the film was made to appeal to the Furries. That would make sense since I happen to know how wide the Furry community is, but I'm sure there must be more than that. What really surprises me is the fact that a majority of the people on this board haven't even seen Zootopia yet! Trey_Vore and I seem to be the only ones who have so far. Understandably, I know a lot of people here don't have a lot of money or a lot of time, and I respect that, but I will say that once you see it, you won't be disappointed. Like I said, Zootopia was not a bad movie at all; I just think it's far from perfect. Although, seeing all the craze it's getting, I have a strong feeling when the Oscars get here, Zootopia will most likely win for Best Animated Feature. I know the academy loves Pixar, but since expectations for Finding Dory are pretty low, I'm predicting that film will be a box office failure and not even get nominated, and I honestly don't see any potential in any of the other upcoming animated films of this year, except for maybe Moana. In fact, I think Zootopia might even get nominated for Best Picture seeing all the praise it's getting! It probably won't win, but I'm sure it'll at least be nominated. That's all I gotta say. Now, Trey_Vore, if you wish to respond to my rant, please think carefully before you say anything to me. I don't want you to end up hurting my feelings like you did in your response to my Big Hero 6 rant. If it will make you feel any better AniMat did a light slam on Chicken Little in his review. I thought I would let you guys know for my birthday I am planning to see Zootopia again. Sausage Party's trailer is out. I'll probably end up seeing this one out of morbid curiosity alone, but it certainly isn't what I had in mind, to say the absolute least. That looks like it's going to be a sequel to Foodfight. Let's see, R-rated, CGI-animated, horror AND comedy? And likely as trippy as Cool World--no way that is going to work. Definitely passing on it now.

Okay, I know many of us are not looking forward to Ice Age: Collision Course. However, last night on American Idol, Jennifer Lopez announced that whoever wins Idol this season will get to record a song for the soundtrack of Ice Age: Collision Course. J-Lo played a role in the previous Ice Age film, so she's apparently reprising her role as that character in this film.

Apparently we have another animated film coming out this September called The Wild Life. It's a film done by Summit Entertainment, and it's basically a movie loosely based on the tale of Robinson Crusoe. I saw the trailer, and...it looks like something that will likely make people puke! youtu.be/KNCjU9VEuNc

So I recently found out the Animal Crackers movie I mentioned earlier is going to be released next year...in January. Going by bab's theory, I'm thinking the movie is going to be bad, and the people working on it probably KNOW that it's bad seeing that it has become a January release.
I still don't know why bab thinks all January releases are bad. Kung Fu Panda 3 was released in January, and that turned out good, didn't it?

"Kung Fu Panda 3" was originally scheduled as a December release though. They moved back to January because they knew if they released in December "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" would bury them at the box office.
