Figured I'd open a thread for the film. I'm watching it now. SPOILERS! I like the fact it's a musical and given it's heroes and villains in high School I'm reminded of Sky High which I liked. As for the main four adult villains, I don't like the sound of Maleficent's voice, (but I guess they did that cause she's the most wicked), and the other three villains look like they became content with their condition, especially the Queen and maybe Cruella. Fitting that Jafar becomes not only a thief but a seemingly-desperate or rather compulsive one...like Prince Ali's lil monkey. I do wonder how Cruella instilled a fear of dogs into her child. I think I trust the Queen's daughter with the Prince more than I do Audrey. She's a chatterbox and such a show-off but that's the point. Doug is good though. I think he's got a crush on the queen's daughter. I have a feeling Mal/Mai will be the last to truly enjoy their chance of redemption...or maybe Maleficent's put a spell on her. She does not know how to be subtle. She does follow her mother but I'm keeping in mind the spell factor. Also if jay and Jafar are theives shouldn't they know how to pick locks? Maleficent's song is like "Mother Knows Best" in short. Although how did the others NOT hear that song? She don't care about anyone but herself. Soon as she gets the wand she'd probably put her daughter to sleep, permanently I like the bit Carlos did with the phone. That was entertaining. I guess Jane is the Fairy God-daughter. Jay is so wild I'm surprised Carlos isn't deathly afraid of him. Regardless of my previous comment it's obvious the Prince will fall for Mal. Fitting that Charming's son bears the charm but is an idiot. If I'm correct, least in Into the Woods, Charming was an egomaniac. Except Chad is a spoiled idiot, trying to be dramatic but is lazy. I have a feeling the Campus mutt is the son of Tramp and 'Pidge', or Lady. ....ugh, Disney is REALLY trying to persuade people Mulan is a princess aren't they? I like the film but rule #1 she is NOT a princess. Audrey is definitely worse than the Queen's daughter. She wants to look 'cooler' than everyone else. Well so does the Queen's daughter but she tries to stay reasonable, and not TOO egotistical and narcissistic. Also if I'm correct the sport they're playing is pretty much Lacrosse. Those chocolate chips really made the cookie magic STRONG. Here's a question though, which is better? -Passionate but not entirely true love (Cookie magic) -or no love at all in truth (Maleficent to her daughter) Looks like Mal is finally having some fun. (Though I wonder is Maleficent really Mal's mother. Some villainesses are not beneath baby-kidnapping.)

Of course I'm adding more, the film's not over. Also I may be going too deep with this factor but Mal Bertha...doesn't that sound like what Maleficent meant to call her was miscarriage or Mal-birth?
After the sport incident I have a feeling Ben knew about the spell.
"I definitely think we are goners" Even if they do succeed, they'll be removed cause they were 'contaminated' with goodness and furthermore the parents find them a means to an end.
I like how they did "Be Our Guest" and the hip style is okay. This film is DEFINITELY like Sky High but with Enchanted added to it.
Those prep girls and boys, (except Doug and Ben), are REALLY trying to bring out the villain in these kids thinking they'll be fine cause they're the SPOILED offspring of the kings and Queens. They think due just punishment will never come cause whoever dishes it out will have to talk to their parents and be seen as an enemy surely.
Turns out I was wrong about when Ben knew about the spell. And again Maleficent only cares about herself. "Bitter Party of ONE," as the Evil Queen said.
I'm not surprised Thr wand was grabbed at the last second. I am surprised Jane grabbed it.
Maleficent prematurely went dragon form here. She wasn't wounded but I guess she's impatient and impulsive.
"You learned to love. So can she" Bullcrap. This is Maleficent, (outside of the live action film). I'd expect Lady Tremaine to learn how to love more.

I think, they do claim, in the Film, that Cruella tells Carlos that; Canines are vicious pack animals, who will attck you. In a way, Canines are like the Monstr Stories, you tell your young, to scre them, to be good. Though, I do notice how the Number, Carlos has in Sports, is; “101”.
With Jay, I think it’s a case of, he’s more a Pick Pockt, like you see in Oliver, You Know?
With Malificent’s Song, I don’ think she was actually there. I think that Musical Number was more in Mal’s Mind, as she is having Inner Conflct on if she should do what her Mother, wishes her to do. That make some sense?
I don’ think they establish that Mulan is a Princess, Do they? I know, in the Film, she is more in the Military. Either that, or Princess is a titl, which they give the Female Leads of Disney Films?
Though, I do have to question…Who is Doug’s Mother, if his father is Dopy? O.O Also, According to some source, Mal’s Father is Human, which angers Malificent.
Also, I don’ think this is the Prince Charming, from; In To The Woods, Lupus. That one, and Disney’s normal Prince are diffrnt characters, considering Sondhiem. I am sure, the Charming in this Universe, is a good type of Prince, with Chad, it may be a case of how one acts, when they’re Younger, You Know?
That is an intriguing idea, that it’s a Pup to; Lady & The Tramp…Though, Don’ they have Scamp, Annette, Collette, and Danielle?
Also, Technically, Ben did know of the Spell, but aftr he ws in the Rivr. Though, Mulan’s daughter seems a nice type.
There’s nothing wrng with the; “They can learn to love” point. At leas, this Continuity claims Malificent is an Antagonist, than that Angelini Jolie Film, Eh? And, I think they do claim, it may take some time, for it to work with Malificent, considering how smll, she gets…and they do use the trm; “May”, so it’s not a definte, with her there.
Though, I do wish that the othr Antagonists, like Cruella, do more at the climx, You Know? Though, How may they follow up, on these evnts, in the Show, they’re making?

I think I read somewhere this is going to be a series. Though I don't think it's going to focus on 101 references as it is on being its own thing.

They're making a show out of this? I could tell hints of a sequel or follow-up at the end narration but still. That may be interesting, MAY.
And yeah the inner conflict thing makes sense.

There's an animated series starting later in this month, I believe. Both of my sisters have watched the full movie while I've only seen a quarter or so of it, but I enjoyed what I saw. And I definitely think this idea lends itself well to a series format, so this is something I'm looking forward to.
Maleficent's number with Mal is my favorite, though that also might be my Kristin Chenoweth bias talking. ;P The number they did with the marching band was cool, too.

I'm not sure what my favorite number from the film would be. Maybe the one at the beginning or the one during the match, or perhaps the song Mal did at the pond with Ben.
I hope they plan to perhaps involve more adult villains in the series, (maybe not Cruella, Evil Queen, or Jafar, but perhaps more like...Tremaine, Gaston, maybe even Facilier). Yes, I know two of those characters died but clearly Disney ignored that in this universe but I'm fine with that.

I think some Tie In Items claim that, using Magic, they are able to bring the Antagonists, that get klld, back to life, so they can be snt to the Island. Kind of a Cruel type of punishmnt, Eh?
The question is, Would the Show focus on the School, or they look in the Island again too? What you think, Pups? ;3

I suspect it would focus on the kids in school but again I'd like to see some more villains. Like Facilier's kid or...what about Ursula?

I just saw a teaser for the series on YouTube and they'll be animated shorts so not episodes and surely not really that fun. The animation reminds me still of say the 3D Monster High stuff maybe with a bit of Winx added idk.
It'll obviously focus on the 4 in school. Regardless id be fine with a sequel to the film since a full-fledged film will allow more diving in, (perhaps literal if Ursula or Ariel's offspring is involved, *maniacal laugh* ), to the world of Descendants. Maybe focusing on the next set of kids who enter the spoiled land to say the least with their own threats maybe or...Disney's rarely-referenced magnum opus of evil. Something far worse than a fire-breathing Enchantress, a baby-napping hag, and a sea witch put together....
THE DEVIL! *Night on Bald Mountain plays* Princesses, and ghouls, I give you CHERNABOG!

I look up more, on the Episodes, and apparently, they're able the same length as an Episode of the; Mickey Mouse Show. So, they are about Two to Three Minutes?
Though, I wonder if it's Multi Part Stories, or One Story per Shrt? What you think, Pups? ;3

The Episodes seem to be about two or three minutes each! ;3 Though, They seem to be part of a continuing Story. ;3 The Dalmatians do get a Homage, in the Second Episode, though! ;3 Where Mal uses Magic, to make an Image of the Daughtr of Princess Aurora wear a Dalmatian Shoul! ;3 www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1WftwYI4usI do wonder, considering we also have Carlos in the Show, what; "101 Dalmatians" Homages may show up, Eh? ;3

Audrey did deserve it clearly, (and I'm saying that just based on her personality in the film). Actually, the animation doesn't look too bad. Still would be a little nice if they were longer but...eh it works. I do also like how the episodes are on YouTube for free but again they're just a few minutes long but still.

I also know, the Mickey Animations, are on Youtube too! ;3
I do wonder, what may happen, or if we may have more; "101 Dalmatians" Homages? Though, I check a Book, that is a set up, for the Film, and there is a scene, where Pongo & Perdita do appear, and do have lines, in the Story too! ;3
I do wonder, would where the Dalmatians are (Either; London, or Gruteley), be part of the Kingdom too? You Know, what I mean, Pups? ;3
