(Was going to put this under 'General Board', but I thought it would fit better in the Art section...)
At this moment, I'm working on a gift drawing for Flo and two requests for Belchic, but I just want to say a few things...
I've noticed everyone has some signature thing goin' on...
babclayman has his character with a growth ray
Belchic does piggy-back rides and trench-coat totems
Flo has Thunderbolt and Patch
and so on...
So let me introduce my interest. I usually keep this to myself in my head-canons I mentioned in my introduction thread, but I've decided to share with you guys, because I want to know how you feel about it. Just to get to know me a bit better...
In addition to being a music-lover and a DJ-in-training IRL, I tend to go towards medieval themes, since I'm a fan of the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and I play Lord of the Rings Online. I have, and draw, a lot of anthro characters that use medieval weapons and specialize in aspects of 9 of the 10 classes from LOTRO: Burglar (Rogue or Thief), Captain (typical leader), Champion (Warrior), Guardian (Paladin, or the guy with a big shield), Hunter (Archer, if you prefer), Lore-Master (Mage), Minstrel (Instrument-user and music), Rune-Keeper (Elemental person), and Warden (Big shield, big spear, big javelin).
In recent months, I made up a few classes of my own, as well as Dual Classes (combines any two classes) and Ultimate classes, which far exceed the strength of the normal classes (NOTE: NO ONE, Regular or Ultimate, is invincible. Everyone has their weaknesses).
Classes that I made up are: Elysian (Wields Angelic Abilities, and what's written on my character, Atlas' scarf), Eidolon (Wields Demonic Abilities), Time-Warrior (Manipulates the advancement of time on non-living objects), High Noble (The typical Knight of the Church), Aquatic-Mage (Manipulates different types of Water and Ice), Inferno-Mage (Manipulates different types of Fire and Plasma), Acrobat (Pretty self-explanatory), Video-Scion (Manipulates and instantly creates high-tech, and manipulates video/holographic images to attack and defend) and Renegade (Extremely rare, combines powers of all classes)
Ultimate Classes I came up with:
Assassin (Burglar)
Battle-Lord (Captain)
High-Marauder (Champion)
High-Defender (Guardian)
High-BowMarshal (Hunter)
Lore-Centurion (Lore-Master)
High-Balladmaster (Minstrel)
Ancient Rune-Master (Rune-Keeper)
High-Sentinel (Warden)
Archangel (Elysian)
Archdemon (Eidolon)
Time-Paladin (Time-Warrior)
High Templar (High Noble)
Oceanic Elite (Aquatic-Mage)
Incendiary Elite (Inferno-Mage)
High-Aerialist (Acrobat)
High-Videographer (Video-Scion)
High-Renegade (Renegade)
Now at the moment, I'm doing 101D art and drawings. I want to stay into that, but I also want to get back into what I started out doing: all of the above you see: Anthro creatures with medieval weapons. So... why not both? I'll be submitting all my drawings to deviantART and everything 101D-related will be posted here. Because I want to stay into 101D, I thought I'd share this with you guys and if you'd like, you can select one of the above classes, or select two for a Dual Class, for one or more of your 101D characters and I'll draw them as an anthro and the class you selected.
*EDIT 20/3/16*
I might take just a long break from drawing any of this for the board, as this is precisely the reason why nobody checks out my stuff.
For the record... Eidolon means "specter or phantom". Elysian, derived from the 'heaven' section of the Underworld from Greek mythology. Scion (as in Video-Scion) means "descendant". In this case, a descendant of Technology. It's weird in context, but it works nonetheless. Renegade is a rebel from law, or in this case, the one who defies the rules of Classes and Dual Classes, as Renegade is... All Classes combined.
At the end of the day, all a Class is at the core is a specialization of skills. I over-complicate it a lot, I know. That's just me. Why do I do this in this fandom and not the LOTR fandom? I honestly don't know. I bring this into every fandom I go into. The whole medieval, magic, and anthro thing.
It's not simply much the LOTR, it's the medieval factor that I enjoy. Which started with LOTR. My interest is medieval, magic, and anthro, not LOTR crossovers with everything.
