Name: Tribune
Nickname: Scoops (The name Roger and Anita gave him, taken from the way a reporter is always looking for the next big "scoop." He prefers to go by Tribune, since it's what his original owner named him.)
Gender: Male
Age: Teen. A few months older than most of the other pups.
Breed: Dalmatian
Height: Slightly taller than average
Weight: Average
Eye Color: Light blue
Collar: A red collar he's decorated with an assortment of pins that have writing/journalism slogans on them (Ex: "Trust me; I'm a reporter," "Keep calm and write on," "There's no crying in journalism," etc.)
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Marital Status: Single
Alignment: Good
Residence: The Radcliffe (...Dearly? o.o) farm
Appearance: The most distinctive thing about Tribune's spot pattern is the shape of his spots. They're not perfectly round; instead they're irregularly shaped and kind of look more like ink splotches spattered across his fur. There are some spots going across the bridge of his muzzle like freckles. His left front paw, the end of his tail, and the tip of his tail are black like they've also been dipped in ink. His left ear is solid black. Tribune can almost always be found wearing an old brown fedora that used to belong to his original owner. Beyond that, there isn't much else distinctive about his appearance.
Personality: Tribune is a bright, curious pup with an interest in journalism. He's always asking questions about the world around him, and he seems to have a "sixth sense" for sniffing out big news stories. He's always one of the first on the scene when something exciting is happening. Tribune takes great pride in upholding journalistic integrity. He's determined to report the truth, and only the truth, and he won't stop until he finds it! You could definitely call Tribune a workaholic. He always has to be doing something productive and will happily put in late hours if he needs to in order to get work done. His friend Express likes to say he doesn't even know how to have fun! Tribune can be a little impatient with others sometimes, as he dislikes having his time wasted. He never means to hurt anyone, though, and will usually apologize and back off if you say he hurt your feelings. Tribune can also be a little awkward around pups that are upset or otherwise emotional, and doesn't know what to say. Finally, Tribune is rather high strung, which gets even worse if he hasn't had enough sleep. He gets stressed out easily over the pressure of running a newspaper, and tends to freak out if easily something goes wrong. Often it seems like he's on the verge of a nervous breakdown. But let him catch up on sleep, and he'll be back to normal. ^^
Bio: Tribune was adopted as a young puppy by a reporter for a small local newspaper. Tribune and his owner were very close. The reporter would take him to work every day, and Tribune got to see the inner workings of how a newspaper was put together. He was fascinated by the whole process and even entertained the notion of becoming a reporter himself someday.
But then disaster struck the small newspaper. As computers grew in popularity, people weren't buying printed newspapers much any more - they could just get their news online. The newspaper began losing money quickly, and eventually it had to shut down and lay off all its workers. Without a job, Tribune's owner was forced to admit that he couldn't afford to keep a dog any more. He gave Tribune to the pound, but not before leaving him his favorite old fedora to remember him by.
Tribune stayed in the pound for a few months. It was there that he met Express, whose owners had given her up because she was too much trouble to keep. The two puppies clashed at first because their personalities were so different, but after a while of sharing a cage they gradually started to become friends. (They still bickered a lot, though! X3).
Eventually they were taken from the pound by Horace and Jasper and were brought to Hell Hall with 97 other puppies so they could be made into a fur coat for Cruella... I don't have to give the whole plot of the movie, right? XD Long story short, they escaped with the help of Pongo, Perdy, Tibbs and the Colonel, and were adopted by Roger and Anita. Then they all moved out into a big farmhouse in the country so there would be enough room for the bigger family... blah blah blah, you all know that stuff. XD
ANYWAY. On the farm, Tribune realized this was the perfect opportunity to try being a reporter like he'd always dreamed of doing. So with Express's help, he started putting a newspaper together. It hasn't gotten very far just yet. He's hoping to recruit more pups to help out soon, since he's starting to realize that newspapers are a LOT of work!
Friends: Express. Others left for RP. c:
Enemies: None at the moment
Character Quirks:
-Tribune has a bad habit of chewing on pencils and pens when he's nervous or stressed out.
-Tribune carries a spiral notebook and pen tucked into his collar everywhere he goes, just in case he comes across a big news story and need to take notes.
-Don't touch the hat! Tribune is very attached to his hat since it's the only thing he has to remember his original owner by. If you try to take it from him or even just touch it without his permission, you risk him snapping at you. If he ever lost his hat, he would be devastated.
