Those of you who are wondering if Lightning McQueen is okay, I can lay all your worries to rest. Yes, he is ok. I just learned about the plot for Cars 3. The film is going to be about McQueen wanting to race against a new rival who is a new generation racer, and he gets mentored by another new gen racer. That's what I got from it.

Maybe it'll be better than Cars 2, who knows.

I think that's what they're shooting for, Shawn.

Oh My...For the Emoji Film, they just announce that the...Number Two thing...shall be voice by...Patrick Stewart!
I have to question...I hear, they were working on a Pop Eye Film, but that got cancel for the Emoji Film. Not only that, but Sony is one of three Studios, who were trying to get the Emoji Film, too.
I have to ask, who was seriously asking for an Emoji Film!? Some Five Minute Videos, on the Internet, I can understand, but a FILM!?
Still, At leas, we have Cars III & Coco, for this year, Eh, Pups!? ;3

This is what they were working on:
How the hell do you turn down Popeye for freaking emojis???
Also, I was talking to a guy who works at a Lego store and he said we are are going to get The Lego Batman Movie this year, but The Lego Ninjago Movie was pushed back to next year.

Seriously at first, I thought the Popeye movie was fake. I hope they don't ruin his image.

My best guess is Emojis are a more recognizable thing with kids these days. Most kids aren't that familiar with Popeye. That's just the way the world is.

A choice between Sly Cooper, Popeye and the Emoji Film, I'd go with Sly Cooper and Popeye, tbh, because I feel that the Emoji Film is unnecessary, I mean think about it, who would want to watch a film about Emoji's while their showing the Emoji Film, why don't they show the film Food Fight while their at it after Emoji ends. Belchic, I know that Sly Cooper isn't an option, but it did appear in the options menu after the Sneak Peek was finished.

Just heard some news about Sony's upcoming film, The Star. It sounds like they've got quite a cast lined up for it. Some of the actors include: Kelly Clarkson, Tyler Perry, Kris Kristofferson, Oprah Winfrey, Tracy Morgan, Keegan-Michael Kay and Christopher Plummer! Something tells me this movie is going to be a musical. Though with a cast like that, the movie sounds like it could have potential, and this may wind up being the start of Sony's new Renaissance. They have been talking about trying to reform themselves, and this could possibly start it.

It's going to be the story of the Nativity told in the perspective of the animals.

In an earlier podcast, AniMatt said that Sony is trying to reform themselves. Even though they have had some very unsuccessful films, they are hoping this would be the year they turn around the tables with The Emoji Movie and The Star. I don't see that happening with the Emoji Movie; maybe The Star.
Hotel Transylvania is the studio's baby. Even though I don't like the movies, they do apparently have a lot of fans. It was recently announced that this year, they're going to make a short film based on Hotel Transylvania called "Puppy". But there's a catch: the short is going to be playing before the Emoji movie! I'm not sure if this is their scheme to try to get people to see the movie or not. I'm going to pass on it regardless.

So with the nominations for Best Animated Feature being out, I'm starting to wonder what might get nominated next year. It's hard to tell since none of these have been released yet, so THERE IS NO NEED TO REMIND ME!!!
I know there will be at least one foreign independent film nominated for the award, which will not be any of these films, but based on what I heard is coming out, I'd like to take a look and see which ones might have potential...
The Lego Batman Movie - I don't remember if the Lego Movie was nominated, but this one might have a slim chance.
Rock Dog - I don't think so.
Boss Baby - I don't see this one getting nominated, because let's face it: Dreamworks can do better than this.
Smurfs: The Lost Village - Highly unlikely since it is based on a TV series franchise. Though I don't know why people are calling this a sequel to the first two Smurfs films since the first two were live-action/animated hybrids, and this one is fully-animated.
Spark - I don't know about this one since I haven't seen any trailers for it yet, and I don't know what studio is doing it, but I'll find out soon enough.
The Nut Job 2 - Definitely not. Nobody liked the first one, and nobody was demanding a sequel, so why would this get nominated?
Captain Underpants - I seriously doubt it.
Cars 3 - The first two didn't get nominated, so this one would have to be a real mind-blower if it wants to get nominated.
Despicable Me 3 - The first one wasn't nominated, but the second one was, and based on what I saw in the trailers for this one, I don't see it making it.
Blazing Samurai - Not many people know about this one yet. If whoever is doing it can make a really strong story, then it might have a shot.
EmojiMovie: Express Yourself - AniMatt, Trey and myself all have doubts about this one, but I'll be surprised if it gets nominated.
The Lego Ninjago Movie - Its based on a TV show, so it won't get nominated.
My Little Pony: The Movie - As much as I am looking forward to this one, I doubt it'll get nominated, because just like Ninjago and the Smurfs, it's based on a tv show, and since when do those get nominated for Oscars? Well, I know the Shaun the Sheep movie did, and that was just so they could have a claymation film in the category.
Coco - This is the only one I can see getting nominated and potentially winning.
The Star - This one might have a shot too.
Ferdinand - This one might have a shot too.
It's strange that of all the animated films coming out this year, the three that I see the most potential out of are the last three getting released, but like I said, we'll see how they play out when they get released.

The Lego Movie wasn't nominated Belchic.
In any case The Lego Batman Movie is coming next week and it looks good. Right now it's Rotten Tomatoes score is 96%.
