Just as I was fearing, there has been schedule changes!
The Nut Job 2, originally scheduled for a May release has been postponed to August.
Also, Blazing Samurai has been moved to next year. Guess I'm not seeing that this year!

So now there's two that got delayed?
In any case I will see The Lego Batman Movie tonight. On Rotten Tomatoes it is Certified Fresh.

Hey guys I did get to see The Lego Batman Movie the other night and it was a good one!
It keeps the same tone of the other Lego movie with a Batman flair while also acting like an affectionate parody. The only real problem I had with the story was it did seem to follow the older movie's set up a bit closely but I still liked the movie a lot.
So yeah guys. Go and see The Lego Batman Movie.

The Lego Batman movie has gotten AniMatt's Seal of Approval. I'm guessing the next two lined up have a good chance of getting his Seal of Garbage.
Strangely, Wikipedia still says Blazing Samurai is scheduled to be released August of this year, yet IMDb says 2018.

Rock Dog opens tomorrow.
It doesn't look all that good--it's Rotten Tomatoes score is 45%.
I guess we can say there probably will be worse?

I think I did post before, Rck Dog does technically counts as a 2016 Film, as it did air in China, in the Summer of 2016.
The Cast, for the English Db is surprising, though. We have Eddie Izzard, J. K. Simmons, Lews Black and Sam Elliott doing Voices.
Some thing, I notice, is that they claim Eddie Izzard is doing the voice of a Feline, in the Film. I notice this, as Eddie Izzard is also the voice of Sgt. Tibbs, in "102 Dalmatians: Puppies To The Rescue"!
You notice that Cast thing too, Pups? ;3

I just got back from seeing Rock Dog. It was actually a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Was it a theatrical masterpiece? Not by a long shot, but it was still a fun movie with a good cast and a strong story. Though something tells me AniMatt isn't going to like it.
I saw a trailer for Spark, and I kinda have mixed emotions about it now, so I'll probably pass on seeing that one.
I also saw a trailer for the Ninjago movie, and it looks really bad. I don't recommend it.

Just an update for those who watch AniMatt regularly: He is not going to be reviewing Rock Dog because the film is not getting released in his country.

Trey_Vore: I don't know if you've seen Rock Dog yet, but knowing you, I highly recommend it. It's not as good as Zootopia or Sing, but I still think you'll enjoy it.

Okay, so it looks like I have some updates on the animated films of this year:
1. I saw the first official trailer for Captain Underpants. I still rest my case on passing on it. It looks really bad. 2. We also have three more animated films coming out this spring: "Your Name", which I think was a foreign independent film from last year, "Leap!", which I saw a trailer for when I went to see "Rock Dog", and "Ozzy", which is another dog movie. 3. The Nut Job 2 is still scheduled for an August release. 4. Apparently, "Animal Crackers" is still coming. It's now set for a September release. I don't know what's causing the delay on it so much. 5. According to IMDb, "Blazing Samurai" is still scheduled for a 2018 release, but no official date yet. Good chance it'll be cancelled though. I mean, if they keep delaying "Animal Crackers", this movie could have the same problems.
Hopefully we will get updates from AniMatt's podcasts.

So with the animated films list of this year now updated according to IMDb, here is my updated thoughts on them:
The Red Turtle - Possibly. The Lego Batman Movie - Is the first one not enough? My Life as a Zucchini - Oh, this one too? Rock Dog - Cool! Boruto: Naruto the Movie - Yeah, right! The Boss Baby - Are they running out of ideas? Smurfs: The Lost Village - Maybe. Your Name - Might have potential. Spark - I'm kinda mixed. Leap! - What? Ozzy - Should be cute. Captain Underpants - HELL, NO! Cars 3 - Doubt. Despicable Me 3 - HELL, YEAH! The Emoji Movie - No! Just...no! The Nut Job 2 - I'll wait for the DVD. Animal Crackers - What's taking them so long? The Lego Ninjago Movie - Haven't seen the show, so probably not. My Little Pony: The Movie - Shut up and take my money! The Star - Don't screw this up, Sony! Coco - We'll see. Ferdinand - I'm keeping my fingers crossed...
