Yeah, it's a shame that a good handful of songs were written for the movie, yet only ONE made the final cut.
Also, it's nice to see that the Sherman Brothers did contribute a song to the movie after all.

There's actually another song for the movie, besides the Kanine Krunchies Song and the Cruella De Vil Song we know it today, here's an alternate take on the Cruella De Vil Song called. "The Creation of Cruella De Vil." www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQrEPETU6vQThe reason I say this is an alternate take to the Cruella De Vil Song that we all know and love, is because I have no idea where this song was suppose to take place except for the part where Roger gets an idea for a song about Cruella De Vil. If you have any ideas on where this song actually takes place, please let me know.

I think you are correct, with the idea that it is suppose to be an erly plan for the Song, which Roger writes, Shawn.
From what I can find, the; "101 Dalmatians" Song would have play in the opening Credits, before using; "Playful Melody". When you look at the Film; "101 Dalmatians" has one of the liveliest opening Credits, in an "Animated" Disney Film!
The Erly Script also gives some information about Anita & Cruella. The "101 Dalmatians" "Novel" tells us that Cruella was explled for drinking Ink. In the Erly Script, for the "Animated" "101 Dalmatians", Cruella claims that happen Four Years prior to Anita meeting Roger.
I'll try to read more of the Erly Script, to see what is also in it. Have more Pups been able to read it, too?

So how many songs were written for the movie then? Sounds like there were at least five that didn't make the film.

I think that is correct, Belchic.
You have the altrnate Cruella Devil Song. The Parrot Song, which Horace & Jasper get. The Dalmatians have Two Songs, as they are heading to London.
And, there's the Sherman Brothers Song, which would have servd as the Main Musical Number of the Film. Like Race claims, they probably ct it, either cause it didn' ft the Mood of the Film, or how "101 Dalmatians" isn' a Traditionl type of Musical (You have three songs, however one of those is the Advert for "Kanine Krunchies"). Though, if it did make it in to the Film, it would have been the frst "Animated" Disney Film, to have a Sherman Brothers Song. I think it wasn' untl Sword In The Stone, which that happen.
I am reading more of the Erly Script, and it seems that Pongo does more narration about the Wedding Scene. The Church, which the service is, ws on Baker Street, but in the Erly Script, that is tld more by narration, than us actuall getting to see it in the "Animated" "101 Dalmatians" Film.
It also appears that, Cruella's frst appearance would have happened BEFORE the Wedding, rather than aftr it. It is then, aftr that meeting, which Pongo actuall learns that Perdita is expecting.
Apparently, in erly versios of the Script, it would have tld us that Horace & Jasper are two of SEVEN Brothers! o.o
Some Characters would have also hd their names from the; "101 Dalmatians" "Novel", with Horace being calld; Saul, and Rolly being; "Rly Poly".
We also got more names, for Pongo & Perdita's Pups, in the Erly Script. There would have been Pups called; "Itchy" & "Spook"! o.o So, We have; Lucky, Cadpig, Rolly, Patch, Penny, Freckles, Pepper, Two-Tone, Jewel, Wizzer, Dipstick, Fidget, Itchy & Spook! o.o
Though, there are some Scenes, from the "Novel", such as the Wagon, with the Dog asking for a Paw Print, as well as the Sir Charles Scene, which probably would have pause the Story.
Like I claim before, the ways the script was altrd, to become what we know as the "Animated" "101 Dalmatians" does help to give more Focus to the Story, having some scenes appear at diffrnt areas, and some adjstmnt of the Character names. Like I claim, both Walt Disney & Dodie Smith praisd the focus on the story, which the "Animated" "101 Dalmatians" has. ;3
Have more you also been able to read more of the Drft Script, Pups!? ;3
