I'm pretty convinced that the series is not a popular show, nor will it ever offer the same amount of nostalgia to children of the 90's. I'm part of a Facebook group called The Nostalgic 90's, and I created a poll to see which Disney tv series based on one of the animated features has the most amount of fans. As of the time I am making this post, these are the scores of each: Aladdin: 87 Little Mermaid: 59 Timon & Pumbaa: 35 Hercules: 5 101 Dalmatians: 4 Jungle Cubs: 0 That just makes me really sad to see my beloved show get shoved to the sidelines while shows like Aladdin get way more popularity!

Popularity doesn't matter. As long as you enjoy the show yourself, who cares what other people think?

Popularity DOES matter, as it will determine how likely the odds are of the series seeing the light of day again (let alone get a DVD release).

Belchic…If we have tld you once, we have told you a dozen times more…
WE DON’ LOOK IN TO HOW POPULR THE SHOW IS! The ONLY thing that should matter, in this case, is that WE Enjoy it!
You DO NOT require any one’s Validation to Enjoy the Show!
You also have to consider, Maybe the “101 Dalmatians The Series” Page, ties in to Pages about the “101 Dalmatians” Franchise, as a Whle!
I myself have seen MULTIPLE Pieces for “101 Dalmatians The Series”, both on Devianart, FurAffinity and numerous other pages, and most times the posts read; “I remember seeing this Show and really enjoying it!”.
So, There ARE those who do Enjoy the Show, but you seem to be going out of your way to look for any excuse to make some type of negative post!
Just LET US ENJOY THE SHOW! It should be our own enjoyment of the Show, which should matter, not whether how many pages on Face Book it has!
How many times do we have to explain this to you, Belchic!?

And how many times do I have to tell you that I AM NOT FORBIDDING YOU TO LIKE THE SHOW!? Just because I say something is not popular does NOT mean you are not allowed to like it! I'm not telling you what you should or should not enjoy! There is no law saying that we are only allowed to like popular shows! I don't know where you keep getting the idea that I'm saying that, but it's really getting on my nerves! All I'm saying is that I'm sad that the show isn't getting the recognition it deserves. I have told you this A TRILLION TIMES, bab, but no matter what, I just can't seem to ever get it through your thick skull! I really don't appreciate it when people make false accusations on me like that!

you're really making a big deal out of nothing Belchic.. and you need to remove your nostalgia glasses and take an objective look at the series. Yes, it's a big part of all our childhoods, we enjoy and love the characters but let's face it, it's mediocre at best and at times very poorly written and animated. Not to mention that the producers clearly overlooked relations between the pups and didn't pay attention to those small details when making it. Heck, half the time Dipstick and Wizzer seem to be fused into one puppy, it's completely careless and overlooked.
The series will never be the most popular thing ever because 1) it's OLD, 2) It's not that well made, 3) Disney is interested in primarily marketing things that are popular to today's children, and 101 Dalmatians the Series is not one of them. As much as any of us would like it to be on DVD, it's not likely to happen, unless they just decide to release some episodes on a DVD of "Golden Oldies" or something for like $5.
That doesn't mean that people online don't still like and enjoy it. I mean shoot look at our little cult following. There's hundreds of people on this board that love 101 Dalmatians and the series, and are making fancharacters and fanart all the time. I myself STILL enjoy making my own second gen story based on the series because I love it and it's a big part of my childhood, and there are other people like KHWhitelion who are trying to do their own thing and indirectly give the series a spotlight. So it is popular in a sense online, but it's not going to be the next Friendship is Magic. You just need to learn to deal with that.

Mizan: That is exactly what I keep trying to tell bab, but every time I do, he always takes it the wrong way! *sigh* Why do I even bother? Nobody on this board will ever understand what I'm trying to say.

101 Dalmatians: The Series has a cult following, it will never be as iconic as "DuckTales" or "Rescue Rangers" but it has its fans and that's enough for us. It wasn't a perfect show, take a look at how most of our fanfics don't follow the show's format but keep some flavor from it, but it was fun for its time.
"Popularity DOES matter, as it will determine how likely the odds are of the series seeing the light of day again (let alone get a DVD release)."
I don't know if that's really true for 101 Belchic. The dalmatians are a popular franchise for Disney and the series cycles around more than some of its contemporaries. If Disney is putting out one of the Dalmatians movies on DVD or Blu-Ray again it's not unusual to see something like the series make another round on Disney Junior or something similar to promote it. Compare that to say "Pepper Ann," which Disney is unlikely to ever bring back around, or "Teacher's Pet," which Disney buried deep enough two episodes aren't even available online in English.
There is a little kicker. DVDs are quickly going the way of the CD as people shift to streaming services...which are cheaper to offer programming on so many more series will get added. Megas XLR never made it to DVD but did to iTunes and Xbox Live.

Yeah, Belchic, this show was not as popular as other animated Disney shows, especially those based on Disney movies like this one was, and for good reason. It does have many problems in it that were rightfully pointed out by some people who have seen it. And while it's not one of the worst animated shows out there, especially from Disney, there are many shows in those categories that are far, far better. I'm sorry for being negative here about this; I'm just stating my honest feelings about this, and everything I'm saying here is fair. There's nothing wrong with saying anything negative about this show, but there's nothing wrong with liking it, either. There's plenty of fan stuff of this show on DeviantART, but they are still outweighed by the many stuff on there that have nothing to do with the show. The show can still be appreciated there, here, and some other places on the Internet, but one shouldn't go as far as to being a fanboy and complaining like a child about anything negative said about it.
This leads me to the second point I want to make. The comment that bab made here in this thread actually made me cringe. I cringed that he accused you of forbidding him and anyone else here from liking the show when you pointed out something negative when it comes to the show, but you made a similar accusation on me when you responded to the most recent commentary I did; you accused me of forbidding someone from liking a movie that I pointed out is bad when what I was really doing in that commentary was simply pointing out that a movie is bad. I was not forbidding the person I commentated on or anyone else from liking a movie I simply pointed out was bad, nor did I say anything to that effect.
Anyway, getting back to this show, it's fine if you like the show, but you need to need to think of the problems this show has and not expect it to be as popular as you want it to be.

I have to agree with everyone else, dude, I don't care about the popularity that a show gets, I don't care if we don't get a DVD Release of the 101 Dalmatians TV Series, just seeing that they made one because you wonder what it would be like if the series was a TV Series is enough to satisfy my tastes, I like the Aladdin TV Series as well.
What I'm saying is, Bel, is that we should be happy that they took into consideration in making the TV Series instead of moping that the show is unpopular or if they are going to make a DVD Release, if Disney wanted to do a DVD Release of 101 Dalmatians TV Series they would've done it by now, but what I'm getting at is that there are fan art and there's fanfiction.
So, I'm not worried about it.

For the Record, Flo, I wasn’ forbdding him from doing any thing; the point I was trying to make is; “If we Enjoy the Show, how large its audience may be shouldn’ mattr”. I am not going to act like it is as Large as F I M, but as many have pointed out, there are a good number of fns out there and if the Show gives us pleasure, then that’s what matters, rather than looking in to how large the Audience is, compare to F I M.
We also need to make a point of how things can become a Cult Success. Case in point being; It’s A Wonderful Life, when that first air…It was a Box Office Bmb! However, Thanks to a Loop Hole, Television Channels were able to air it for free; Cause of this, the Film is nw considerd to be a Beloved Christmas Film! Other case with Newsies, The Film didn’ do well, at frst, but it got a Cult Following from the Video Relese, and that in turn allowd it to become adptd to a Musical, which is a Large Success!
The fact that Conventions and Top Ten Videos do give acknowledgement to “101 Dalmatians The Series”, too! “101 Dalmatians The Series” got an Honourable Mention in Watch Mojo’s “Top Tara Strong Voices” and there’s a Video where Tara Strong is doing a Panel, and some one ask her to do Two-Tone’s Voice! Belchic himself has even brough up how, at D 23, when introducing April Winchell, they list Cruella as one of her Roles! I was able to contact April Winchell, one time, and she tld me that; “101 Dalmatians The Series” is one of the Highlights of her Fourty-Five Year Career!
Race brings up the valid case, when it comes to both the “101 Dalmatians” Franchise and also D V D & Streaming.
On the case of D V D, I have brough up on numerous ocassions that, While it may be One Episode; “A Christmas Cruella” did get an Official Disney D V D Relese! Anothr point about D V D is that they are slowly on their wy ot, and Blu Ray and Streaming are becoming how we may watch Films now. But, do not act like; “101 Dalmatians” is being singled out, I hear that Deep Space Nine is not even getting a Blu Ray Relese!
Many Shows are now making their Episodes up for Download or Streaming Services. I have this App called; Disney Life, which is like a Disney Netflix. If you look on the “101 Dalmatians” Page, there is a Lucky Bio, and Lucky’s Page Quote is a line from; “Chow About That?”; so “101 Dalmatians The Series” is still rememberd and they acknowledge it!
The App is also slowly bringing some of their Ol’ Shows up, too! Even Shows from the Nineties and Early 2000’s are making their way on the App! So, It is highl possible, Disney are working to restre their Ol’ Shows to a Good Quality, and then make them available to Stream.
In any case, there are multiple Pages, I can link to, where you can watch Episodes of; "101 Dalmatians The Series", too.
However, We do not base how we enjoy the Show on how proportionate its audience is, compare to F I M, but we enjoy it for its content! The Show itself stands the test of time, even after Twenty Years! It’s Stories hld up well, with its cast of amusing and memorable Characters.
So, Like I claim, If we Enjoy the Show, that’s what matters, not how large its audience may be. While it is possible, that it may not get a Fll Season D V D Relese, it is likely it shall become avaliable for Streaming, in the future, maybe about the same time the "Cruella" Film airs, Maybe? You understand what I mean, Belchic?

Didn't you read carefully of what I said there, bab? I said that you were accusing Belchic of forbidding you and other people from liking this show. Take a look back, you really did that.

But I do! This series has always been a very important part of my childhood. I want to have the episodes with me so that I can always look back on them as a retrospective and then maybe pass them down to the next generation (I may have kids of my own some day!). Considering the series no longer airs on television due to a lack of room in the schedule, plus VHS tapes have gone obsolete, it would really make me happy if they would give the series a DVD release. This year would be an appropriate time since it's the 20th anniversary of the series. I know you guys have told me there are websites that have episodes, but I probably have to either download them or pay for them, and I don't think it's worth it to go through all that.

You're wrong, Just because you want a DVD series doesn't mean Disney is going to give it to you, willy Nilly, what I mean is, I can respect that you would want your kids to see it, I would want my kids to see it too, but you can't force your kids into watching a TV Series or Movies if they don't want to. I don't get why you would want a DVD Release of something that wasn't that popular, watch the episodes that have been made, there have been numerous mistakes in the series. Am I saying you can't have a DVD Release? No, Am I saying that it's up to Disney? Yes, and Bab's right, watch a Watchmojo Video and you'll see what I mean that's called. "Top Ten Things that will be obsolete in the future." Pretty soon, DVD's and Blu-Ray's will be obsolete too, the only thing that I can say that you can do is NOTHING, just be patient and pretty soon they would probably release it on DVD or Blu Ray, I mean who knows, 101D: TV Series have appeared on Disney Junior, so it's possible.
