No, Sony do have the Spider Man Film Rights, which they share with Disney.
That is why the two; Amazng Spider Man Films were relesed by Sony. In the case of Spider Man; Home Coming, while it is part of the Disney Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Disney are the ones to make it, Sony distributes it.
So, Sony has the the Film Rights to Spider Man, but they share them with Disney. I think they would have considered the entire Rights thing, before actually making the Film, Belchic. Do you understand, what I mean, Belchic?

AniMatt posted his Best and Worst of 2017, and it looks like I was a bit off. I must have miscalculated some of the scores. I was actually surprised that MLP made it into his Best half!
Anyway, here is what he says about 2018...
Early Man - This stop-motion Film that looks amazing #1. Isle of Dogs - This stop-motion Film that looks amazing #2. Sherlock Gnomes - Did anyone order a Gnomeo & Juliet sequel? Cuz I sure didn’t. Duck Duck Goose - *sniff, sniff* Smells bland. Animal Crackers - This could either go well or terribly. The Incredibles II - THE HYPE IS ON! Hotel Transylvania 3 - Can I get something besides another cheap Adam Sandler cartoon? Teen Titans GO! to the Movies - Okay, that’ll do. Small Foot - This concept intrigues me. How the Grinch Stole Christmas - We already have Chuck Jones and Ron Howard! What more do you want? Ralph Breaks the Internet - THE HYPE IS ON...AGAIN! Spider-Man - Sony, I will never trust you, but I swear to God, you’d better not screw this one up like you always do!
So apparently Animal Crackers is finally coming? Then again, maybe not.

My updated thoughts list:
Early Man - Okay, Ardman. Let’s see what you got. Isle of Dogs - This looks awesome! Sherlock Gnomes - FAIL! Duck Duck Goose - What? Animal Crackers - After all the delays, I hope it’ll be worth it. The Incredibles II - It’s about time! Hotel Transylvania 3 - Not another one! Teen Titans GO! to the Movies - WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??? Small Foot - I’m thinking no. How the Grinch Stole Christmas - Is this really necessary? Ralph Breaks the Internet - A sequel to this? Uh...ok. Spider-Man - My spider sense detects a lawsuit.

I have told you many times, Belchic...
Why would Sony get sued for making a Spider Man Film, when Sony has the Spider Man Film Rights!? Disney may have Marvel, but Sony still owns the Spider Man Film Rights, which they SHARE with Disney! You can look it up, and see that is the case! Do you really think that they wouldn' consider that, before they got to the Trailer!?
I do plan to see both; Wreck-It Ralph II, and Incredibles II, in 2018! Would Mary Poppins Returns also count, too, as there is going to be an; "Animated" Sequence, in that one, too, Eh?

babclayman: Where did you hear there was going to be an animated sequence in Mary Poppins Returns?

I saw the Trailer, at D 23, Belchic! It shows, there shall be a Scene, in a Royal Daulton Bowl, and it shall be an “Animated” Scene, like the Street Images in the frst Mary Poppins Film!
Like I post though; Would Mary Poppins Returns also count, as there is an “Animated” Sequence, in Mary Poppins Returns too, Pups?

Well, in my book, Live Action Films with animated sequences do not count as animated films. Even AniMatt would agree with me on that. I haven’t seen this animated sequence you speak of, bab, but knowing today’s society, I’m willing to bet it’s done in CGI and not traditional cel animation.

Looking at 2018’s upcoming animated films and hearing AniMatt’s thoughts on them at the moment, here is what I’m predicting might earn his...
Seal of Approval: Early Man Isle of Dogs The Incredibles II Ralph Breaks the Internet
Seal of Garbage: Sherlock Gnomes Duck Duck Goose Hotel Transylvania 3
Neither: Animal Crackers Teen Titans Go to the Movies Small Foot How the Grinch Stole Christmas Spider-Man
So looking at that, I am thinking this is not going to be an amazing year or a horrible year for animated films, but it looks pretty well-balanced at this point. 2019, on the other hand, I’m anticipating will be an amazing year!

I can't see "Animal Crackers" being good. The film has been on and off the shelf for a few years and we've seen little in the way of trailers or other material, it's a somewhat interesting idea but I can't see it being good. The fact they are releasing it in May directly AGAINST "Avengers: Infinity War" seems to imply they are only releasing it in theaters to meet a requirement or avoid getting labelled "Direct to Video."
I'm liking how "Isle of Dogs" is looking though.

It looks like there are three other animated films coming out this year that AniMatt denied to mention, and all three of them are scheduled to come out before Early Man. Though all of them look like ripoffs.
Deep looks like another Finding Nemo wannabe.
Mary and the Witch’s Flower looks like a rip-off of Kiki’s Delivery Service.
Monster Family looks like a Hotel Transylvania rip-off.

We have a Concept Image, for; Wreck-It Ralph II, Pups! It seems the scene is that Wreck-It Ralph & Vanellope are in the Internet. While; Vanellope is looking about, It seems Wreck-It Ralph is being bmbarded by Pop Ups Adverts! I do notice, the Style, of some of the Internet Citizns, kind of look like the Style in the Disney Shrt; Inner Workings, with the shape of their heads! What do you think of the Concept Image, Pups!?

Why must Disney jump on the sequel bandwagon? And don’t tell me it’s for more money or continuing the story. The Disney Animated Features are meant to be independent films, not franchise films!

Considering, it has been almost been Seven Years, since Disney has made an “Animated” Sequel, with; Winnie The Pooh, and the majority of other “Animated” Film Studios have practically made half a dozn Sequels, in that time, each; I think Disney only having two Sequels in the works is Okay in comparisn, Eh?
