Here's kind of a random topic I felt like doing.
Disney's Nine Old Men were Walt Disney's core team of animators. They've all been on his team since production of Snow White, some left the animation business earlier than others, while others stayed on as late as The Fox and the Hound.
Looking at the traditionally-animated films that Disney did after that often makes me wonder if the Nine Old Men worked on them, which characters they would most likely animate. I'm going to try to figure that out.
I'm going to start with Beauty and the Beast:
Belle: Les Clark/Marc Davis/Eric Larson The Beast: Wolfgang Reitherman/Milt Kahl Gaston: Frank Thomas Lefou: Ward Kimball Maurice: Ollie Johnston Lumiere: Marc Davis Cogsworth: Marc Davis/John Lounsberry/Ward Kimball Mrs. Potts: Marc Davis/Frank Thomas Chip: Marc Davis/Ollie Johnston Feather Duster: Marc Davis Wardrobe: Marc Davis/Milt Kahl Footstool: Marc Davis/Eric Larson Stove: Marc Davis Bimbettes: Ollie Johnston Philippe: Eric Larson Wolves: Wolfgang Reitherman Monseuir D'Arque: John Lounsberry
Does it sound like I appropriately matched the characters with their animation styles?

I guess this topic wasn't a huge success, but I guess I'll go ahead and try out The Lion King:
Simba: Frank Thomas Nala: Ollie Johnston Mufasa: Milt Kahl Sarabi: Eric Larson Timon: Ollie Johnston/Ward Kimball Pumbaa: Frank Thomas/Ward Kimball Rafiki: John Lounsberry/Ward Kimball Zazu: Marc Davis/Les Clark Hyenas: Wolfgang Reitherman Scar: John Lounsberry/Wolfgang Reitherman/Milt Kahl Other Animals: Eric Larson

I just saw AniMatt do a classic review of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and it inspired me to try out that movie.
Quasimodo: Ward Kimball Esmeralda: Marc Davis Phoebus: Milt Kahl Djali: Eric Larson Victor: Frank Thomas Hugo: Ollie Johnston Laverne: Les Clark Clopain: Wolfgang Reitherman Judge Frollo: John Lounsberry
Wow! I managed to give each one of them one character each!
