Well, it looks like the time has come for me to post my Secret Santa gift! This year, my client was
babclayman (who is unfortunately out of town for a few days)! For his gift, I wrote him a fanfic, which hopefully he will enjoy:
-
Clayton was one of the most popular pups on Dearly Farm. Everyone got along with him very well.
One day, he decided to take a few of his friends out on a trip. They were going to a museum. Not just any museum, but a museum made exclusively for dogs. Clayton invited four of his friends: Shadow, Nemo, Belchic and Tippy.
“I’m really excited about exploring this museum with you guys!” Clayton barked.
“Me too!” said Shadow.
“Me three!” said Nemo.
Belchic and Tippy were the last to arrive. Belchic saw Clayton and Shadow and was disappointed that they were both alone and without their girlfriends.
Clayton greeted Belchic with a big hug. “Are you guys ready for some fun?”
Belchic looked at the museum they were about to enter. “So this is where we are going to spend the afternoon? Interesting that they made a museum for dogs. I thought at first it was going to be a real museum.”
Clayton figured out in his head what Belchic was trying to say, and he responded: “That’s right, Belchic. Even if we tried to sneak into the museum using your trench coat scheme, it would never work! I’ve told you this time and again, Belchic: Nobody is fooled by that cliché! And besides, we would stand out like a sore thumb!”
Nemo was very relieved to hear this.
Clayton went on: “And don’t even think about trying to talk Kendra into doing it, because she will NEVER do it!”
This encouraged Nemo to add in: “Yeah, and that applies to me too, Belchic!”
After Clayton’s lecture, Belchic started thinking to himself,
Man, Clayton is really getting on my nerves! That pup thinks he can get away with ruining my fun because he thinks he’s smarter than me! At least I’m not saying this out loud. I know him pretty well, but it’s not like he can read my thoughts.Just then, Clayton turned his head back to Belchic and said, “Yes, Belchic, I can read your thoughts, and I am smarter than you.”
Belchic was shocked.
“Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s go!” barked Nemo.
“Okay!” said Clayton as he lead the other pups into the museum.
The first exhibit they encountered was a dinosaur fossil. According to the sign, it was a fossil for a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
“Ah, yes, Tyrannosaurus Rex, known as the King of the Dinosaurs,” said Belchic. “You would think the largest dinosaur in the world would be the king, but this one was at least the largest meat-eater.”
“Wow,” said Clayton as he gazed with awe. “I wonder how big he really was.”
“Well, this fossil should be a full-scale replica,” said Tippy.
“Really?” asked Clayton. “It doesn’t look that big. It looks more like it’s 20 feet tall. Compare that to Godzilla who’s like 300 feet tall.”
“He’s not real, you know,” said Belchic.
“How do you know, Belchic?” asked Clayton. “You have no evidence to back up your argument.”
Belchic facepalmed.
“Don’t you facepalm me!” snapped Clayton.
“Okay, break it up, you two!” Shadow interjected. “We’re here to have fun, remember?”
Suddenly, Nemo’s stomach growled.
“Hehe, pardon me,” she blushed. “I guess looking at those bones has made me hungry.”
“We’ll eat something after the tour,” said Shadow.
The group moved along to the next exhibit, which was a room filled with Egyptian artifacts.
“Wow,” said Clayton. “I wonder if these were real things found in the pyramids.”
“Maybe you should read the descriptions, Clayton,” said Tippy. “That’s how you learn things.”
There was a very unique-looking artifact in the exhibit, which caught Nemo’s attention. It had a shiny orb in the middle of it that glowed her favorite color. According to the description underneath, this artifact belonged to King Mutt, a legendary Egyptian Dog that Belchic and Tippy knew very much about. It was his prized possession, and if anyone else got a hold of it, he would curse them and make them his eternal slave until their death. Of course, Nemo wasn’t concerned about this as King Mutt died millenniums ago.
Clayton was about ready to move on to the next exhibit, but it wasn’t something Belchic was too interested in.
“Clayton, I think Tippy and I are going to split and check out some other rooms at the museum,” said Belchic. “We’ll check back with you later.”
Clayton was disappointed, but he respected their decision. Belchic and Tippy went in one direction while Clayton and Shadow went in another direction. Nemo went with Clayton and Shadow, but before she did, once the pups were out of the room, she secretly stole the artifact that belonged to King Mutt and hid it under her hat. Little did she know, Belchic caught this.
“Tippy, did you see that?” Belchic asked Tippy. “Nemo just stole that King Mutt artifact!”
“Oh no!” Tippy gasped. “She shouldn’t do that! That’s museum property!”
Belchic sighed, “I’ve known Nemo to be quite a troublemaker, especially when she’s around the Heartbreakers, but this is crossing the line!”
“We’ve got to stop her before she gets in trouble!” said Tippy.
“But how?” asked Belchic. “She won’t listen to us.”
“You’ve got a point there,” said Tippy.
“Wait...I’ve got a plan!” Belchic smirked.
Meanwhile, Clayton, Shadow and Nemo were watching a show at the planetarium. They were very intrigued by it. After the show had ended, they walked out of the theater.
“That was really awesome,” said Shadow. “I think Belchic and Tippy would have loved it. Too bad they’re not with us.”
“I’m sure they’ll get around to it eventually,” said Nemo.
“I probably should have invited Alvin,” said Clayton. “I know he’s into that kind of stuff.”
Suddenly, the pups heard some ferocious, monstrous sounds coming from down the hall. They all froze. Soon, what came into view was a tall, muscle-bound, mummified dog.
“Yikes!” Shadow gasped. “A mummy!”
“Cool!” said Nemo.
“Wait a minute,” said Shadow. “Could that be...King Mutt? He’s the Egyptian we learned about earlier today!”
“Oh, come on, guys!” said Clayton. “This isn’t King Mutt! It’s just Belchic and Tippy trying to scare us!” With no fear, Clayton walked right up to the mummy. “We know it’s you, Belchic! Now can the act!” He then unraveled the bandages around the head only to discover not Belchic’s head, but a much different looking dog that looks like it had been decaying. It turned out this King Mutt was the real deal. Clayton slowly backed away as King Mutt snarled at him.
“Well, I did not see that coming,” said Shadow.
“I propose we run,” said Clayton.
“What?” Nemo gasped. “Bologna! I can take this guy out with no problem!” She cracked her knuckles and started to approach the monster.
“Nemo, wait!” Shadow shrieked. “Are you crazy! This guy is too powerful! He can destroy you!”
“I’m not scared!” Nemo said confidently.
“No, Nemo. You don’t understand!” Clayton explained. “King Mutt has psychic powers. Brute strength is no match for that no matter how strong or brave one may be! We have to get out of here!”
Nemo still ignored her friends and started walking up to King Mutt, but Clayton grabbed her and ran dragging her behind with Shadow following.
Unable to get on the ground, Nemo complained, “No fair! You guys are bigger than me!”
“What is wrong with you, Nemo?” Shadow said to Nemo as he placed his paw on her head but then noticed something hard. “What’s this?” he wondered. He pulled off Nemo’s hat and discovered the artifact that she stole. “Is this the artifact they had on display?” he gasped.
“Yeah,” Nemo answered. “Cool, huh?”
“YOU STOLE THIS???” Shadow freaked. “This is museum property! Don’t you even realize this is a crime???”
“Shadow is right, you know,” added Clayton. “You’re not Indiana Jones! I think this is what King Mutt is after.”
“I say we return it to him and blow out of here!” Shadow said.
Nemo sighed, “Fine!”
When King Mutt got close to them, Clayton tossed the artifact to him, and he caught it.
The trio ran away.
King Mutt then pulled off his head revealing Belchic. The bandages then unraveled revealing Tippy holding up Belchic on her shoulders. It turned out it was them all along.
“Good plan, Belchic!” said Tippy with a smile.
“Yeah, I thought this mask would throw them off,” said Belchic.
“Right, then let’s return that artifact to its proper place and head on home,” said Tippy.
And so they did.
As they returned home, Belchic decided to lay inside a dog house he found. “Strange that this dog house just appeared out of nowhere. Ugh, but it smells so bad in here, and this blanket is wet and slimy!”
Tippy, Who was just Outside this said House was stammering in fear trying to get Belchic’s attention.
Belchic stepped out of the house wondering what Tippy was stammering about. He turned around and discovered he was inside the mouth of a giant monster. Belchic freaked out and security-clinged onto Tippy. Then he heard a familiar laugh. It turned out this monster was Clayton. He had used his growth ray on himself to scare Belchic.
“I gotcha good, didn’t I?” Clayton said.
“Clayton, what is the meaning of this?” Belchic asked unamused.
Clayton explained, “Back at the museum, we knew King Mutt was you guys all along. Nemo and I smelled right through your disguise. So I plotted this scare attack to get back at you.”
“I see,” said Belchic. “I guess we are even now. Well, from now on, let’s just respect each other’s quirks.”
“Deal,” said Clayton. “Though I do applaud you for trying to right what Nemo did wrong. I had no idea that artifact hypnotized Nemo into stealing it.”
“It hypnotized her?” Belchic blinked.
“Well, it’s possible,” said Clayton. “I’m not sure if Nemo would be the type who would just steal something at her own will.”
“Well, just to be on the safe side, I say we let her be the judge of that,” said Tippy.
Belchic nodded in agreement.
Just then, Clayton heard cries coming from a kitten stuck in a tree. Since he was now large enough, he went over to the tree and placed the cat back on the ground. “There ya go, kitty,” he said with a smile.
Clayton was about to go into the city to see if there were any other good deeds for him to do now that he was a giant. Before he did, he returned to Belchic and Tippy.
“Hey guys! I just got this great idea!” said Clayton.
“Let me guess,” said Belchic. “You and me messing around with super powers that give me painful, bloating gas pressure?”
“No,” said Clayton. “I was thinking we could compromise our quirks. I could make you a giant and ride on your shoulders.”
“I’ve got a better idea,” said Belchic. “How about if Tippy and I sneak into a shop in a trench coat, and you can use your growth ray on us so we will be human height?”
“But what good will that do me?” asked Clayton.
“Then after that, we can find another girl pup and you can make us giants so we can have a chicken fight in the ocean!” Belchic added.
“Wow,” said Clayton. “I can’t believe I’m saying this, Belchic, but that is actually a great idea! Let’s do it!”
So off they went together. First, they went to a store. Belchic got on Tippy’s shoulders, and Clayton enlarged them to make their combined height to about six feet. They put on a trench coat and did some shopping.
After they finished, Belchic got a hold of Two-Tone. Clayton as a giant took them out to the ocean and enlarged all the pups so that the water would be shallow enough for them to do a chicken fight in.
“Okay, so here’s how we will do it,” explained Belchic. “Clayton will be teamed up with Tippy, and I’ll be teamed up with Two-Tone.”
“But Belchic,” Clayton said in a puzzled tone, “don’t you want to be with Tippy?”
“I think Belchic wants to be more fair,” said Tippy. “If he and I were a team, we’d win way too easily.”
“I see,” said Clayton. “Fair enough.”
So the girls dove underwater. Two-Tone came up with Belchic on her shoulders while Tippy came up with Clayton on hers. Clayton was a bit uncomfortable at first, but once they started fighting, things got intense. The girls were actually having more fun than the boys surprisingly.
They fought, and fought, and fought, until finally, Belchic was knocked off.
“Hey, you won, Clayton!” Tippy said.
Clayton threw his paws up in the air doing a victory pose.
Belchic and Two-Tone were fortunately good sports, so they congratulated him too.
After that day of fun, the pups returned home and were reverted back to their normal sizes, and despite Belchic’s concerns, nothing was destroyed.

I did my best to keep the fanmade pups who weren’t mine in character. To
