Okay then. My first thoughts on the upcoming animated films of 2019: The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part - Everything is Awesome! How to Train Your Dragon 3 - That'll be good! Wonder Park - Closed for business. Missing Link - Laika? Of course! UglyDolls - ...wait, what? Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon - Okay. Secret Life of Pets 2 - Not demanding it. Toy Story 4 - Better be good. Angry Birds 2 - One was enough. The Playmobil Movie - Why not DTV? Spies in Disguise - Never gonna work. Abominable - I'm going South. The Addams Family - Maybe. Frozen 2 - MY VACCINE DID NOTHING!!! Nice. Though I’m not quite sure what you mean on some of these. They’re a bit mysterious. Like which ones? In other news, I used part of my Amazon gift card to get me a The Lego Movie 2 building set of Ultrakatty, who is apparently UniKitty as Mad Max sees her. She's really cool looking and even took a cue from Transformers Animated Blitzwing where she has three different faces to use to suit her mood, being serious, angry and happy.

The prior two I am not looking forward to, Frozen 2 I am ambiguous about.
What does something like "I KNEW IT!" mean?

What I meant by that was I kind of saw it coming. There’s been a trend going on lately with products that are popular are getting movie adaptations like Angry Birds, Emojis and LEGO. With the success of the latter, I had a feeling something like a Playmobil would be coming. Also, I’m not looking forward to it.

I know we just barely got the Oscar nominations for 2018, but looking at what we got coming up in 2019, I think I have a pretty good prediction on what films might be nominated for next year.
One movie I know for sure that will be nominated is Missing Link. The Oscars need to have at least one stop motion film in the category. Not only that, but it’s by Laika, and if you look at their record, every single one of their films have gotten an Oscar nomination, though they still have yet to win anything.
Then we have our standard Disney film. I think both Toy Story 4 and Frozen 2 will get a nomination. If both their predecessors won, then surely they will go at it again.
I also predict How to Train Your Dragon 3 will get nominated. Dreamworks has a pretty good record with the Oscars, and both previous Dragon films were nominated, so maybe this will hopefully be the one that wins.
Then the fifth nomination will be a foreign independent film.
Those are just my predictions. It’s kind of hard to say since a majority of the animated movies of this year are going to be sequels or franchise adaptations, but I still think I can figure out which ones will be the big hits.

Apparently we are getting another animated film in July called Wish Dragon. It’ll be by Sony Pictures Animation, and it’s starting Jackie Chan: youtu.be/NIzVzpoQy3gThis trailer looks fanmade, but many sources are saying it’s official. Judging by what I see, the animation looks like that of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. I don’t know much about it since there’s no Wikipedia page for it as of yet, but it is listed on IMDb.

Reviews are coming in for The Lego Movie 2: the Second Part.
It's looking awesome! It's RT score is at 90% and the critics' consensus is:
While it isn't quite as much fun as its predecessor, The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part fits neatly into an animated all-ages franchise with heart and humor to spare.
They probably knew that the movie doesn't have the novelty of the first movie on its side now and obviously the kids that grew up with the original 2014 movie have grown since then so they had to have it mature but it looks like we are getting the first great animated film of the year very soon!

You seem to be very obsessed with the Lego movies, Trey. I personally think they’re very overrated. Calling this the first “great movie” of the year is a bit of a stretch, because I’m sure there will be plenty of better ones this year.

Ooooooooh, it seems we shall be getting either a Preview or Trailer for Toy Story IV, on Sunday, after the Foot Ball Game! There are also Images for the Film, too, inclueding what Bo Peep shall look! I notice that her Cape appears to be made from her Sheppard's Attire from the first two Films, and some thing tells me she is need of some repair, base on her arm and her Hook, too. I do wonder what she shall be like, in the Film? What you think of the Image and Information, Pups!?

The Gidget trailer for SLP2 is out now!
Apparently, Gidget is going on some kind of undercover mission? That’s my only explanation as to why Chloe is teaching her how to be a cat.

First off, it's not obsession I can just see something that doesn't have dogs or ponies. I was willing to let The Lego Ninjago Movie go if it meant the official Lego Movie sequel would succeed.
Second, there is a movie that tells kids about you can be great if you believe in yourself and the importance of creativity, imagination, teamwork and parent-child interactions and I understand that is overrated? Right.
Third, I said great animated movie. The Kid Who Would be King was a promising family movie but despite that it's is not doing well--it's the year's first major bomb.
Somebody already asked you why you don't like The Lego Movie on your DA journal so you can just answer that person.

From what I've been able to find it sounds like Lego 2 has a really clever twist the marketing has done a great job hiding. From what I read it sounds like the film does a good job of replicating the family metaphor of the first flick.
Plus who doesn't want more Unikitty?

She's a Darkhorse a reason.

I just saw an announcement on comicbook.com that PETA is trying to force a change on Bo Peep’s new design! Seriously? Why do we even have organizations like that?

Who is she trying to be, Bruce Lee? That's kinda the stance one takes with a bo staff. Does anyone else think Bo Peep may start a rivalry with Jesse given their attachments to Woody?
Anyway here's a WatchMojo.com list, I will hope for the best, some more so than others.
