D&D is something I've been getting into as recently as the last... year and a half, I'd say? I'm currently in one regular weekly game with a group of online friends, and I've been having a great time with it! Our party is not comprised of... shall we say.. the most upstanding citizens, but the way we interact with one another has been entertaining and worthwhile alone. I used to play in an in-person group as well, but I have a feeling our game is done and over with.
For those who are interested in following a D&D story, but aren't able to play in a game themselves, there are also many different shows and podcasts available that offer an engaging narrative while making use of the mechanics. My personal favorite (though admittedly I'm currently behind on it) is Critical Role, a weekly game streamed live and played by several people who work in the voice acting industry. Matthew Mercer's storytelling ability is a gift. They have two campaigns: one that ended in 2017 but was grown out of the home game they'd been playing long before they started streaming, and an ongoing one that's been running since January 2018 (and is the one I'm more inherently familiar with.)
There's also The Adventure Zone, often seen as the much sillier counterpart to CritRole, which is a podcast done by the McElroy brothers and family. I've personally never listened to this one, but I know there's a less strict emphasis on the rules of the game, as well as a much deeper story underneath it's incredibly goofy exterior that's worth listening for.
Both of these are sort of the poster child for a larger D&D-based franchise as well: TAZ has been enjoying a successful graphic novel adaptation, and CritRole has comics detailing the backstories of their first campaign characters, as well as an animated television series (also about their first campaign characters) coming in a few years.
And, as far as actual tabletop games go, since this is a Dalmatian forum and all... I've been told Pugmire is basically just D&D but with dogs. Probably worth looking into.

Ohh, that picture from Bab is so sweet!! He had been asking me a lot about the magic AU -- I'm glad it was able to produce such a sweet image. I really love it a lot. :3 My Secret Santa this year was Trey-Vore, which I was very excited about! I had originally planned for something a little more grandiose than just this one image, but with the start of my new job it did cut down on time a bit. ^^; Still, I hope this image is satisfying for him. It was a lot of fun to put together. Looks like someone -- perhaps even Santa himself? -- was kind enough to hook Roxy up with a SNES Classic this Christmas. ;3 Enjoy, and happy holidays!

Helloooo all! It's been, what, at least a year since I've checked in? Maybe two? I can't guarantee if I'll even stick around for very long, but I suppose some of you might be curious as to what I've been up to.
I graduated high school in summer 2015 (just a month or two after the trip to Disney I know I had posted about), and started up at community college the following fall. Did that for two years, and graduated with my Associate's in Graphic Design back in May. Now I'm at art school a couple of states southward, finally on the track to study Animation as I had wanted to since I joined here. Finished my first quarter there two weeks ago, and now I'm home until the beginning of January.
It's been an interesting ride for sure! I can't say I completely miss community college (especially the stretch of terrible professors I had last spring), but there were definitely experiences there that I remember very fondly and friends I can't wait to see while I'm home. Though I am much, much happier actually being at art school -- everyone there is so nice and easy to talk with, and all of the friends I've made there so far are super cool.
So that's pretty much what's been up! What else... I had three different and unique summer jobs between high school graduation and this summer, as well as an unpaid freelance collaboration with a Broadway blog. I worked for said blog for about a year (March 2016 to just beyond my starting date in 2017), and both had my artwork displayed at 54 Below for a concert and go to BroadwayCon because of them. (BroadwayCon was stressful but SOOOO much fun, oh my gosh. I would do it again in a heartbeat if I knew I would be home for it this year.)
So, yeah! That's about it on my end. I hope you guys are all doing well! A lot of my interest in Dalmatians nowadays has sort of been funneled to the second-generation lovechildren, but maybe I'll start revamping some of my older characters? A few of them have sort of turned into non-Disney associated OCs, but I still have a handful that are just sitting around without much of a purpose or use.

Somehow I just can’t resist the allure of the Secret Santa, can I? (Also hi, it’s been a while, I’m on break from school right now so I have time. ) Willing to Give: Art Willing to Receive: Art or Writing I don’t care about subject matter as long as it’s clean, Christmas themed, and quirk-less. And feels like it was made with me in mind, of course. I’m asking this year for my second-gen fan kids around the canons. Either them, or something to do with my AU about Rebecca having witch powers. One of those would be cool. All character bios can be found within: seaofspots.deviantart.com/gallery/63308499/Reference-Pictures | sta.sh/2lj9azcu5mq?edit=1 | sta.sh/21svhummcdkq?edit=1 | sta.sh/213tnj2o18mm?edit=1 They’re preeetty detailed and even have a few specific relations to one another mixed in there, so I think you’ll be good to go. Color reference for Shiloh and Rubee can be found here
Color references for a handful of the LuckBecca kids (Melody, Clover, Erzulie, and Romeo) can be found hereColor references for Maureen can be found here and here. Color references for my Rollielle kids can be found here (these designs will be updated after this event so now's your last chance to draw them this way!) Specific stuff on Witch-Becca is here: seaofspots.deviantart.com/art/Bell-Bark-and-Candle-684383412Witch hat is optional; include it or don’t, I’m not picky. Also of note is that Vendella also has powers in this AU but is shown to be the superior witch, so feel free to include something about that! And of course, there are more tidbits about characters and ideas in that main gallery. So feel free to poke around and get some ideas going.

I think this is the right board to put this in. Someone can always move it around if it's not, I would hope. Anyway, I've recently gotten hooked on Rob Paulsen's podcast, wherein he brings on a host of talented voice actors and interviews them. They talk chiefly about their body of work, but answer fan questions as well, as the podcasts are recorded through live streaming. Two episodes in particular have had actors from 101 Dalmatians: The Series (Tara Strong, April Winchell, and Pamela Adlon) talking about their work on the show. In Tara Strong's episode, she talks a bit about her experience in starting the show from the very beginning, as well as the inspiration she had for finding Spot's voice. For as much flack as that character gets from you guys, I find this story to be very touching. techjives.net/2012/03/23/033-talkin-toons-with-rob-paulsen-weekly-voice-acting-and-voice-over-tips/ Starts around 29:34 In April Winchell and Pam Adlon's episode, they relay an anecdote not so much about the process of working on the show itself, but something that happened at the studio while recording an episode. Just as a warning though: this story is considerably more NSFW in terms of the language used in it, and if filthy humor isn't your thing, this one probably isn't for you. I figured sharing it publicly would be easier though than having to PM it to everyone who asked. It's hilarious, but also totally inappropriate. techjives.net/2014/04/25/114-pam-adlon-and-april-winchell-on-talkin-toons-with-rob-paulsen-weekly-voice-acting-and-voice-over-tips/ Starts around 17 minutes in If I find more stories, I'll update this thread. I know he's had all of these guys in particular plus a few other "Dalmatians" actors on more than once.

Sausage Party's trailer is out. I'll probably end up seeing this one out of morbid curiosity alone, but it certainly isn't what I had in mind, to say the absolute least.

Thanks guys!! ^^
I'm going to the movies tonight with my family to see "Hail, Caesar!," and then we're going to dinner. As for Alfie, she's in Washington D.C. spending the day with her friends from school. It's a little weird not celebrating with her this year, but I'm happy knowing that she's having a good time.

My Hanukkah gifts from earlier this month included:
•Inside Out on DVD & Blu-Ray •A Disney Sketchbook (a collection of traditionally drawn sketches by Disney's Nine Old Men and other prolific animators) •A $25 Barnes and Noble gift card •A $25 Michaels gift card • A $25 iTunes gift card •A $25 GameStop gift card •Fox socks •Lots of candy •Money from my paternal grandparents, aunt and uncle, and great-aunt and great-uncle •Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon •Tickets to see "Dames at Sea" on Broadway (which I saw on the 13th and was awesome) •Tickets to see "School of Rock" on Broadway (which I will be seeing next week)
Christmas was a lot more low-key by comparison. What I received there included: •A new sweater •$25 Amazon gift card •Money from my aunt and both sets of grandparents •Another $25 iTunes gift card from my maternal grandparents
And while it's not really a "present," the entire family got a couple of scratch-off cards, and I won $4 and a free scratch-off.

My Secret Santa this year was ArtyJayWolf !! Wolfy has made a lot of cool contributions to the board since joining, and I was really excited to finally have the opportunity to draw his characters. So here we have Querida and Hyperion enjoying a snowy day together, complete with a festive scarf shared between the two. :3 Enjoy, and happy holidays!! I'll be sure to post this on DeviantART later.

I really enjoy this concept!! My sister is on her college's Ultimate Frisbee team, so my interest has been growing in the sport. It's cool to see you integrating the idea with your characters! I can't wait to see how it plays out.

I have word that Ozzy & Sharon Osborne are set to voice, in a coming Episode, of this Show! o.o And, since Belchic asks me for Sources, here is the Page, with the News! ;3 www.thewrap.com/ozzy-sharon-osbourne-to-guest-voice-disney-xds-the-7d-exclusive-photos/Also, It seems that Amy Sedaris (Who voices Gravity, in Space Buddies), George Takei (Sulu in Star Trek), and Jim Belushi (Harvey in Trding Places) are also set to voice, in the Show too. I do wonder though, is this Show set in a different continuity, to the Disney Film, considering the many diffrnt designs, in the Show? Makes sense that Sharon and Ozzy are coming on to lend their voices. You hardly see the biological parents of any voice actor voicing their character's parents -- that's a really nice touch. Also, Amy Sedaris will be lending her voice? That's awesome! I LOVE her work on BoJack Horseman.

I gotta say, I really like the concept for this. I'm always a sucker for a bounty hunting something-or-other. I'd love to give this a try. Saffron would be good for it, I think.

Well, At this time, I think I have about Twenty-Six Pups, for the Image! ;3 Since this is an Image for ALL the Pups of Sparky, more Pups are allow to tell which of their Dalmatians, they wish to see! ;3 More Pups wish to name, who they wish to see, in the Image, Pups? ;3 Since you're offering so nicely, perhaps you could add Pizza in there with her? Maybe just have him leaning his head on her shoulder, or the two doing something snuggly together (it doesn't have to be over-the-top romantic). I'd like him to be wearing a red scarf and reindeer antlers, if you wouldn't mind. If the antlers are too much to draw, don't worry about them.
