I'm kind of surprised The Exorcist only made #9, because that movie has had a reputation of being the scarriest movie of all time. I'm really surprised Poltergeist didn't make the list! That movie scared the sh*t out of me!

These are the Top 10 movies and albums that I really think should get adapted into Broadway musicals:
# 10 - Moulin Rouge (2001) # 9 - Quadrophenia (1973) # 8 - A Goofy Movie (1995) # 7 - The Princess and the Frog (2009) # 6 - Across the Universe (2007) # 5 - Oliver & Company (1988) # 4 - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (1973) # 3 - The Land Before Time (1988) # 2 - The Wall (1979) # 1 - The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Any thoughts on those? I think they would make awesome musicals to put on broadway. If any of these do exist as Broadway plays or are in the works, I will definatley go and see them!

Moulin Rouge is a great idea for Broadway. The Wall is also a good idea (although the movie is an acid trip isn't it?) and would probably make lots of money too. I'd lean away from any based on animated films which mean lots of makeup and aren't a sure bet (Disney's Lion King is huge but Tarzan flopped) plus I think Broadway might be gunshy on adapting other media after the 'Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark' trainwreck.
Wasn't Across the Universe already a play on Broadway?

Yeah, I thought "Across The Universe" was already adapted to Broadway as well. o.o Moulin Rouge would be Awesome to produce too, However the difficulty is all the songs and getting the copyright to use them. Like, Queen and Elton John, Etc. ^^; I think "Nightmare Before Christmas" would work BRILLIANTLY as a Broadway show, I pictured it as one of those bizzare type shows, where everyone moves in such strange ways, like Physical Theatre work. =3 Although, it be expensive, with the sets and the special effects, like Zero or making the Mayor able to twist his head, etc. What about the other ones, Race? Like "Beauty & The Beast" or "Little Mermaid", or are you refering to where the primary characters are Animals? Although, Has anyone seen the Star Wars Musical online? It's actually pretty dang good! =3 www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTjw19hao_Uwww.youtube.com/watch?v=QUNtvMJxMYc&feature=mfu_in_order&list=ULwww.youtube.com/watch?v=yUaehZXYjiII will say, that could work! =3 What you think, Pups? *Hugs* X3
