yeah I just saw that on MSN thats pretty cool nmo I ought to stab you for such a comment Slayer. To me, this is going to be a real big mistake that Marvel will make. If Disney suceeds, they will most likely end up screwing up Marvel, and if that happens, all my respect for Disney will be lost. However, if they leave the comics alone, then I may have some respect left for Disney....

I heard about this on fA. I hope they leave the comics alone >> but now I'm kinda ashamed because our favorite Marvel characters are gonna be 'kiddie-fied'

Walk thru the action figure aisle at any Wal-Mart and they already were, the cute little 4-inch action figure of a smiling Abomination packed with the Hulk like they were friends shows you Marvel itself was not above actions like that on their own.
The comics will likely stay dark, dark is what sells these days. And sales equal money which is what this deal is all about.

I meant the typical 'Disney kiddie' if u know what I mean.

This is bulldock, man! First Disney buys Jim Henson Productions, then they buy Lucasfilms, then they buy ABC, then they buy Pixar, then they buy Fox, now they buy Marvel. What's next? Nickelodeon? Well, when I go to Mickey Trick-or-Treat Party this year, I'll expect to see a lot of Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Wolverine costumes.

Disney doesn't own Fox or Lucasfilm Um...yes they do. Why do you think we have Star Wars and Indiana Jones based attractions in the theme parks? Also, how do you explain Jetix becoming a part of Toon Disney, and not to mention, some of the Jetix shows are being broadcasted on Disney XD as well.

The Star Wars and Indiana Jones (BTW Indy's Paramount, not Fox) attractions at Disneyland and Disney Hollywood Studios in Florida are the result of agreements between Lucasfilm and Disney. They just licensed the use of the franchises. 20th Century Fox and Lucasfilm are not part of Disney. Note how you never see Disney or its other channels airing Indy or Star Wars movies or TV series or using the characters in any way outside of those attractions.
As for Jetix, in that case Disney simply bought the rights to a lot of the old Fox Kids block such as Spider-Man the animated series. They did not buy Fox. Similar deals gave them the rights to old WB programs such as Static Shock and X-Men: Evolution. Disney did however buy Saban Entertainment, which gave them the Power Rangers line as well as other programs owned by Saban that aired on FOX such as Spy Dogs.
Though you didn't mention it, Disney also owns ESPN (Thus the "ESPN on ABC" sports coverage).

for the fox kids stuff being Disney's thank Al Kahn and 4Kids for that since they caused Jetix to infect Toon Disney by buying out the saturday morning slot on Fox (and 4Kids also killed Kids WB too by doing the same thing)

Wow.
At the same time, I just thought of something. If Marvel is now a Disney-owned company, I can only wonder...
Does this mean there will no longer be Marvel Super Hero Island over at Universal Islands of Adventure? I mean, Disney wouldn't want to help their competition.
