You guys remember my Trio Teams topic? Well, this is sort of the same thing, except this time, it's for groups of five. I know this may sound like a waste of time, but when Avenger introduced Angelina, it inspired me to start this topic:
Basically, if you were to choose five of your own characters that best described your library of characters that you'd want to have in a gang of five, who would they be? Right now, here's what I got in my list of groups:
1. Team Lucky: Lucky - The Hero Cadpig - The Smart Guy Rolly - The Big Guy Two-Tone - The Lancer Jewel - The Chick
2. Team Belchic: Belchic - The Hero Tippy - The Lancer Joey - The Chick Lizzie - The Big Guy Noggin - The Smart Guy
3. Team Avenger: Avenger - The Hero Linda - The Lancer Chaser - The Big Guy Arrow - The Smart Guy Angelina - The Chick
4. Team Shadow: Shadow - The Hero Rosalina - The Lancer Spencer - The Smart Guy Cecilia - The Chick Flora - The Big Guy
5. Team Nemo: Nemo - The Hero Envi - The Chick Lusious - The Lancer Stotch - The Smart Guy ?? - The Big Guy
6. Team Roxy: Roxy - The Hero Sanka - The Lancer Tammy - The Smart Guy LeAnn - The Chick Orville - The Big Guy
Looking forward to adding other teams!

I had a similar idea for this, like what is listed on TV Tropes. It's what they call the "Five Man Band". Here's mine: The Hero - Roxy The Lancer - Sanka The Smart Guy/The Big Guy - Yuri The Big Guy/Team Pet - Orville The Chick - LeAnn The Sixth Ranger - Tammy More info can be found here: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FiveManBand

like what is listed on TV Tropes. It's what they call the "Five Man Band". Dude, I was just about to link to this site Alas, even though I have over 10 characters in total, neither of these characters can be grouped together in a five man band.

@trey: You listed six characters. I decided to ditch Yuri since he's more of an anti-hero. I hope you're alright with that.

Okay. Just they even say that fitting the role is more important than the number 5. This is what is listed as the "Five Man Band" for the official canon in 101 Dalmatians: the Series: The Hero - Lucky The Lancer - this varies between the other three The Smart Guy - Spot The Big Guy - Rolly The Chick - Cadpig The Sixth Ranger - Either Patch, Tripod or Two-Tone In our canon, this is probably what it would look like: The Hero - Lucky The Lancer/The Big Guy - Rolly The Smart Guy - Jewel The Big Guy - Patch The Chick - Cadpig The Sixth Ranger - Two-Tone

I would rather think Two-Tone has the personality of the Chick with Cadpig serving either as Lancer or Smart Guy.

If you don't mind Belchic I think I can find a classification for your "Five Man Band". Here I have: The Hero/The Big Guy - Belchic The Lancer - Tippy The Smart Guy - Noggin The Chick - Joey The Heart - Lizzie Do you think that sounds right, or should I change it?

In my experience with tropes it sounds very right. Before Belchic gets things mixed up, I'm gonna say that these are merely titles of personality dynamics within a group. The chick, for example, does not imply Joey is a girl, more like how this is the personaility he fills out in comparison with the other people of the band.
The trope actually implies that five-man ensamble series usually have personalities devided like this. You'd be surprised how correct it is in many cases.

To help with your point, if you look at the "Five Man Band" for Disney's Recess, you will find that Spinelli, the group's tomboy and likes to play rough, despite not being very tall is The Big Guy, and Mikey, although he's very big and is a male character, is The Chick because he has the most feminine qualities (ie. he's very sensitive, likes poetry, etc). Another example is on Teen Titans, Cyborg is the tallest, most evidently bulky character but he's just The Lancer, and while Beast Boy is not very large uses the most brute force so he earns the title of The Big Guy.

Sounds neat that you did that, Trey, but do you mind explaining why you chose those?

Well, I could make a few corrections to that. - Noggin could also be the Lancer in some cases. - Tippy is more like the Chick. She could also be classified as the Cool Big Sis. - Joey is more like the Tagalong Kid. - Lizzie could also be considered the Team Pet. If I was to add a Sixth Ranger to my team, it would either be Veronica or Scaley. You gave me an idea, though, Trey: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm going to change this topic to "5 Man Bands", and I'm going to edit everybody to see if I could give them each an appropriate position. Please take a look at the first post and see if I got them right.

Epsilon and company have the Five-Bad Band thing going on...
The Big Bad - Epsilon The Dragon - Sigma and Zeta both fill this role The Evil Genius - Nu The Brute - Omega The Dark Chick - Iota The Sixth Ranger - Gamma and Chi
Kappa didn't fit into fit into any of them, he's more The Atoner now because of his Heel Face Turn anyway.

Say! This topic gave me another idea for something we can do!
I'm thinking of making an ultimate pup group. So, if you have any pups that fall into one of these categories, let me know so I can add them. Then, we can all take a vote on who we like best for that category, and the pup with the most votes will win that position. In the end, we will have the ultimate pup group! So here we go:
The Hero: Lucky Patch
The Lancer: Patch Rolly Cadpig Noggin Tippy
The Smart Guy: Noggin Ocean
The Big Guy: Rolly Patch Belchic Otis Lizzie
The Chick: Cadpig Two-Tone Jewel Tippy Cutey Veronica Chloee Summer Vanilla Magdelene
The Big Brother Mentor: Patch Belchic Chocolate
The Team Mom: Greylene
The Team Dad: Dippy
The Cool Big Sis: Tippy
The Medic:
The Mentor: Colonel
The Sixth Ranger: Jewel Veronica Scaley Splotch Chloee
The Tagalong Kid: Joey Scaley Charmy
The Team Pet: Lizzie Chloee
So far, I've only listed cannon characters and characters from my roster who would work for this. I will not add other characters until other pups give me some nominations. If you need any explanations on the definitions on each group, please check the link that Trey_Vore provided in an earlier post.
