So, you are trying to appl for some work?
Like I have hld you, on IM, what I can suggest is make sure you research what the work is like, and when it comes to the interview, come prepard and show a good attitude, in the interview.
I hope You Know what to do, for the Internshp, Lupus. Do you have a C V or Cover Letter, for the application?

I have a resume I made last year and recently edited.
As for the work description my only guess it's alike to the retail job available listed on their site. In other words I'll be keeping the stand/store clean, be pleasant with customers and co-workers, handle money and keep customer info confidential and such. If I'm correct I could also take a CPR course offered by the company to learn CPR in case.

I decide to not go for the Hershey job, I mean I did the application and I hope to attend the job fair at least for the interview or further information but so many folks around me are saying it's not worth the money since the drive is about an hour from here...and I'd likely be paying the person, as mentioned, at LEAST $20 an hour which, according to my mom, grandma, and some Telegram contacts...will leave me with zilch. The only one who supported me with the idea was the fur, who offered to drive me to and from Hershey but who I'd have to pay the $20 weekly fee for gas. But my mom didn't wanna hear her side or anything and neither did anyone else really. And even if I had nothing left at least I'd get some experience in a workplace and Hershey is BUSY to boot so that helps too, and I'd get reputation with Hershey which could help get a job at their zoo down the road...but since I'd be working retail, my mom and grandma found it as pointless.
The only chances of it happening are if there is actually someone who works at Hersheypark, similar hours as me, and lives in York but I don't think the interviewer or folks at the Job Fair would know that on the spot.
Even though Hershey might more likely hire me than ANY PLACE around here, I'm stuck just going for jobs in walking distance that I don't really plan on staying with or at for multiple years/seasons.
The minimum pay for Hersheypark's retail occupation is $7.75 an hour btw.
I feel like I could've easily gotten this job, (I know what to say for the interview, I know about the company's history generally), but basically everyone I've thoroughly talked to about it has said NOPE, (again other than the driver), and that's basically just dropped my mood. I am determined to get it but now I'm just not hopeful or as immediately, I feel there's no point.

Copied from a post on Discord.
f*cking Belmont Theatre...(a local theatre I've auditioned to for countless times but was only accepted the first time).
They've got a glorious list of plays coming out for the 2017/2018 season. (Les Mis, Oliver, Into the Woods, South Pacific, and Rat Pack Lounge with two other plays), and I was ecstatic when I saw Les Mis....but it's SCHOOL edition...which means nobody above 18 is allowed to audition. BUZZ KILLER! They could do school Edition with Oliver! but they choose LES MIS?! There always seems to be a catch or something with that cheap-ass place. (Again, I've auditioned many times even for Sweeney Todd or One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest which I read leading up to that...but nothing)
Heck the guy who played Ghost of Christmas Present and Fezziwig in the Christmas Carol play back in 2013, has auditioned many times as well there...but nothing. They don't want "amateurs" from what I've heard... I guess since its name is Changed and the design is different, the owner is now a more pompous, proud prick.

I hear you, Lupus, but keep in mind not to give up, they probably would be kicking themselves if they saw you act for not at least giving you a shot at their plays.

I can understand the concern, there. If it is a case of how they wnt professionls for the mai cst, they couldn' even give you ensmble!?
Do you need to audition, each time they do a Show, Lupus?
Though, How many Performing Groups are there, in your area, Lupus?

Yes, I need to audition EVERY TIME. I was practically Ensemble, (and d**k Wilkins), in Christmas Carol...yet they don't even re-hire a cast member who played many supporting roles in Christmas Carol and did it in a jolly manner...not just because the roles were jolly. As for performing groups in a fairly close/proximal distance, there's York Little Theatre, Dreamwrights, and Susquehanna Stage Co across the river. Further away there's Dutch Apple but that's not a community theatre.

I don't know what's gotten into Mr but as some of you can presume, for the past few weeks I've been in a Disney Mania mood. That is to say, to use the proper definition of mania, an obsession of Disney...particularly Disney World.
It's likely due to the fact I'm once again reminded of how fun it was to be there back in 2012 that I'm perhaps fantasizing of going back. Not just fantasizing this time though but acting a little upon that desire. Asking AAA for a quote in terms of how much a similarly-setup trip would cost, applying for part-time job even with college approaching.
And there's also the fact my sister mentioned the possible idea of, in 5 years, her going to WDW and bringing me along perhaps.

I do hear that there shall be a lot of things happening, at Disney World!
One is; there is a Tron Cycle Coastr, with an expansio of; Tommorrowland! They are also making the Ellen Attraction, at Epcot, a Guardians Of The Galaxy Attraction; with a Ratatouille Attraction for the French Pavillion. With the Disney Hollywood Studio Park, the Gret Movi Rde is set to become a Mickey Mouse Attraction.
I also think, they are making a Star Wars Resrt, where you can be part of a Story, with missions, that you can try, too!
I think you should try looking there, in 2021, as that is when the Fifty Year Aniversary of Disney World is!
There any Attractions, you plan to look at, Lupus?

Tempting but part of me would rather go in 2-3 years. Again my sister is thinking about going in 5 years and that's such a long wait.
As for attractions, the Fantasyland expansion basically and Club Villain both of which include meet-and-greets with various characters. I even imagine myself possibly trying to start a group of people, and Gaston, singing his song maybe though I feel I'd be the only one who remembers all the lyrics.

Speaking of Disney World, I just recently figured, if I were to get a non-seasonal part-time job and be able to work 32 hours a week, (four 8-hour shifts in the daytime), while balancing college nicely, and save up basically everything I make...I could pay for a trip to Walt Disney World for 4, via AAA, for 3 nights and 4 days, without park hopper, but with a dining plan.
That doesn't mean I'd quit the job once I'm certain I've got enough, no I'd keep at it to ensure I have something as back up obviously and a full year or two of retail experience. Thinking about this makes me giddy.

It is a good idea, about working more, as it shows that you are eagar to work, which is good when you apply for more work.
May I ask, where do you plan, to get work, Lupus?

Party City, Dollar General, or Aldi's for now as they are retail, not fast-food, and not Wal-Mart so things will not get too hectic.
