Here's part 3.
As we stood outside of Rarity’ home, we could both distinctly, or least faintly, hear the sound of hooves constantly hitting the floor, and a few other noises, but not happening all in one specific place, rather as if somepony inside was running around, trying to take care of things. “Sounds like Rarity’s busy working on more designs.” Twilight assumed. “So, this Rarity’s a seamstress…..or, to put it more kindly, a designer?” I asked. Twilight nodded, “Yes, and she takes her work VERY seriously.” I thought for a moment, recalling how I was often in a variety of costumes, most of which bore several layers, (to say the least, an undershirt, and the outer clothing, or what the audience saw the most), and then asked, “You don’t think she’d mind if I…..were to try on some of her designs, just for her to see if they’d work or seem nice, do you?” Twilight blinked at this for a moment, but seemed to ponder briefly before, replying, “I doubt she’d mind, especially since it would help with her work.” We then faced the door once more and Twilight was about to knock on it with her fore right hoof, as I blew on my left bang of my black mane, trying to keep it out of my eye, but then we both heard a feminine voice come from inside, surely meant for us, say, in a bit of a hurried or otherwise stressed manner, “I’ll be right there, dears.” At hearing this voice, Twilight lowered her hoof and we patiently waited for Rarity to open the door, which she did, after a minute or two, using her magic, however, rather than her hooves. “Sorry for making you wait, darlings, but I seem to be quite busy making a new set of clothing for the upcoming play in Canterlot.” said a white-furred unicorn with a deep purple mane, light blue eyes, and blue prism diamonds for a cutie mark, by the name of Rarity. I briefly took a peek inside, and could only see one or two equine mannequins, half-dressed, mostly with at least a torso portion of clothing, (most likely the 1st layer of an outfit), before kindly, but a bit shyly, asking, “Ummmm….May we come in, Ms, uhhhh…?” Having clearly heard my voice, Rarity looked at me, and answered, “Rarity, dear. Although, I don’t think I’ve seen you around here before, but you and Twilight may of course come in, if you don’t mind helping a little. I’m afraid that I’m short on time.” Twilight and I walked in, with Twilight leading, as Twilight answered, “Oh, he’s not from Ponyville. This unicorn’s from Fillydelphia. Although, I’m sure he might be able to help you with your designing, Rarity, since he’s a bit of an actor.” At this, I noticed that Rarity’s eyes seemed to gleam with inspiration or happiness, as if she was in the presence of one of her idols, such as Hoity Toity, to say the least as she looked at me, pausing in the middle of her work, and asked, smiling, “He is, is he? Tell me dear, how many plays have you been in, and what is your name?” I blushed at this, and answered, “Antonnius Thespis. But you can just call me Antonnius. And I’ve been in least 3 performances, two of which were musicals for sure.” I looked around the room, and saw multiple spools of thread, one or two sewing needles lying on tables, and about 4 more pony mannequins, at least one of which was wearing a full costume, least one that didn’t include headwear. She smiled at this, as she walked over to one of the tables and used her magic to lift up a needle and some thread/fabric, and asked in a rather kind way, “Tell me, dear Antonnius, is there any chance you could help me decide on design?” Once again, I blew at the bang and walked up beside her, as I replied, “Of course, but I must know what kind of play this is, such as the mood or purpose of it, so that it may help. Is it simply for an opera or is it more along the lines of a holiday or festive production?” Rarity seemed to pause briefly before answering, “It is for an opera, darling, and, while most of it is of course bright, charming, and colorful, according to the instructions I acquired, the dastardly villain’s costume must be, well…..dark as the night, and only slightly gloomy.” “To counteract the positive and bright designs of the more good-hearted and well-minded characters of the plot?” I assumed, at which Rarity nodded, smiling at me. I blew on my bang again, starting to get a bit annoyed at it, and added, “Perhaps we could work on the villain’s clothing first, if it’s not too much trouble, dear.” “It isn’t, I’ve only got a side character’s outfit, or at least the general idea of one.” Rarity somewhat nervously replied, clearly stressed on finishing the work in time, as she pointed her horn at the finished costume upon the one mannequin. I briefly examined the clothing, as I walked up to it and asked, noticing that the costume was only slightly bright, rather than slightly gloomy, showing that it was more along the lines of a good-hearted supporting/side character, “I take it that, like some plays, this opera has mainly one prime villain, correct?” Rarity blinked at this, as she looked at me, and nodded, “That is correct, darling. Fortunately, at the moment, I am working on the villain’s clothing, but I seem to be more used to making colorful, bright, and attractive designs, as if they made from diamonds and jewels, not well…..stone.” As much as I tried not to sound flattering to Rarity, as if I was trying to fall in love with her, I nicely replied, “But, in some cases, even a rock, in the right form, shape, and color, can look like a jewel, even if it is dimly-lit.” Rarity was blushing at this rather distinctly but before she could reply, looking directly at me, Twilight burst in and spoke a bit nervously, “I’m sorry, Rarity, but I was actually in the middle of showing Antonnius Ponyville, and the rest of our friends. That’s actually why we stopped here.” Rarity blinked several times, as if coming out of a trance, and looked at Twilight, and replied, “Oh. Very well, Twilight. Sorry to have kept you for so long from your tour.” “Same here.” Twilight replied. Rarity then looked at me, blushed, and sweetly spoke, “It was nice, to meet you, darling.” “Likewise, Rarity.” I kindly nodded. “Perhaps, later, when I have the chance, I could come back, and we can work on that outfit. Until then, go ahead and work on the other designs.” “I’m looking forward to it.”, Rarity smiled as she softly sighed happily, as I turned towards the door, and walked up to it with Twilight. This time, Twilight opened the door and we walked outside, leaving Rarity to her work, seeming a little less distressed. After a while, I looked around briefly and whispered to Twilight, blushing, “I think Rarity likes me.” “Well, you’re not the first pony she’s seemed to show an attraction towards, but you clearly were able to help her relax a little with your brief help back there.” Twilight whispered back. “It is only natural that those involved in theatre, whether actor or prop/clothing/scene designer, should work together to make the performance close to perfection as they can.” I kindly replied. “Well, I think you will be able to help Rarity with her designs, but in case she has any other designs left to work on aside from the villain’s, then you should probably get your mane trimmed, to say the least.” Twilight responded, at which I looked up at my bang again, blew on it once, and nodded, blushing a little, as we both chuckled shortly. After introducing me to several other ponies that lived in the town, such as Mayor Mare, Twilight began to lead me towards the outside of the town, as I kindly, obediently followed. After several minutes of trotting, once or twice getting into a slow gallop, we walked up to an apple farm, specifically the barn, and stopped in front of it. Twilight then began to look around, as if searching for someone, and then smiled as she walked over to a big, red-furred, orange-maned, and green-eyed pony, specifically no doubt a stallion, by the looks of things, who was pushing a bucket full of apples carefully despite his well-built frame, and asked him, “Big Mac, is Applejack here?” Rather than answer the question, with a slight explanation, like most of the other ponies did, this stallion simply just answered, “Eeyup.” This stallion was certainly older than me, or at least bigger than me, since he was least 3 inches taller. Twilight then looked into the barn and looked up at Big Mac again, and asked, “Is she busy apple-bucking?” Again, Big Mac answered, “Eeyup.” “Thanks, Big Macintosh.” Twilight smiled kindly, with him giving her a friendly smile in return, as she turned towards me and began walking off, no doubt wanting me to follow. Specifically, she was taking me to an orchard, an apple orchard to be exact, as I could tell, quickly examining one or two trees as we walked. However, as we walked, I quickly caught sight of one tree briefly quivering and watched as the apples I could see upon it, fall to the ground. “Ummmm…..Twilight, the ground isn’t shaking is it?” I nervously asked, as I pointed a hoof in the direction of the tree that just had apples. She saw this and smiled, at me as she began to walk in that direction, with me following, “No, Antonnius. That’s just Applejack apple-bucking, as usual.” I nodded, understanding her brief explanation, as we, after a few seconds, walked up to an orange-furred, yellow-maned earth pony, about Twilight’s height, who was wearing a cowboy hat, kicking the the trunk of a tree with her hind hooves, very hard, which caused the tree to shake, making the apples it bore, fall to the ground, and land in one out of two buckets below it, or otherwise just land in the grass. I blinked at the strength of this pony, seeing it rather amazing, or otherwise interesting. However, I stopped gazing, as this female pony caught sight of my gaze, and I shyly, slowly looked away, feeling nervous or otherwise embarrassed, as I stammered a little, “S-...Sorry for staring. Eh-heh” The pony stared at me for a little, with a minor stern expression on her face, but shrugged and replied, with a distinct Western-like accent/tone, “It’s alright, sugarcube. Ain’t nothing too wrong with it, long as you don’t do it often.” I blushed a little and looked back at her, but didn’t try to stare or look her in the eye completely. She then saw Twilight, and smiled, “Oh, howdy Twilight. I guess I didn’t see ya there. What are you doing here? And who’s that unicorn? I reckon I haven’t seen him around these parts.” As I tried my best not to stare, or make direct eye contact for an extensive period of time, Twilight answered, “Hi Applejack. I’m just showing him around Ponyville, is all. Although, we are also looking for a place he could stay. As for name, perhaps he should tell you.” At that point, Applejack looked at me, and I cleared my throat, but still a bit nervous, and answered, “It’s Antonnius. Antonnius Thespis, but you can just call me Antonnius.” “That’s a fancy name you got right there. You from Manehattan?” Applejack asked. “Fillydelphia, actually.” I corrected her, but kindly. “What are you doing here in Ponyville, if you don’t mind my asking.” Applejack kindly, honestly questioned. I was a bit reluctant or nervous to answer, so Twilight simply explained, “Well, you see, Applejack, I accidentally brought him here, while testing my magic.” Applejack nodded as she asked, “How much were you doing?” Twilight blushed this time and answered, clearly honest, “.....A lot.” Applejack then smiled in friendly way once more, “heh I guess I should’ve figured. It’s kinda like that time I overworked myself, trying to buck all these apples.” She then chuckled a little, as did Twilight. “But, in regards for a place to sleep, we don’t really have much room in the house, but maybe you could sleep in the barn, if ya’ll don’t mind.” I pondered for a moment, and then answered, “I don’t mind, but I’ll think about it.” Being, a bit of a gentleman…..err….gentlecolt, I kneeled, as if bowing to show proper etiquette, which I feel I should’ve done before leaving Rarity’s house, and spoke, “It was n-...nice to meet you, Applejack. Applejack seemed to cross one foreleg in front of the other, as if to show respect and nodded her head, “Same to you…...Antonnius. Now if ya’ll don’t mind, I better get back to apple-buckin’.” Twilight and I nodded, as we turned around, and began to walk off, just after Twilight advised, “Don’t overdo it, Applejack.” at which Applejack blushed slightly and nodded. After stopping back at the barn and house, saying hello to Granny Smith, Big Mac again, and Applebloom, (who mentioned that I remind her a little of her cousin, Babs Seed), we left Apple Acres, and were calmly galloping towards a thick, rather dimly-lit forest. The Everfree Forest.
