Links I saw on dA didn't mention Kiara so I was worried they scrapped her D: but least she'll be present.

I read the article, and it says the show is airing in 2016! That's quite a long way to go! Thus making it way too early to announce it!

November 22 is the day the pilot episode is airing on Disney Junior. Those of you who want to watch it, make sure to set your DVR's.

From what I see, it seems like that this Show is set during the frst act of the Second Film, as we see Kiara stll young, in the Show.
I'll admt, at leas this actually feels like a; Lio King Show, than the one that; Timn & Pumb have. Though, if this, and the Tangled Show works, maybe it'll have Disney make more Television of their Films, You Know what I mean? ;3
Though, I do wonder how they'll explain where Kion is, during the Second Film?

Well, the Hercules TV series took place when Herc was still in his young state, so this isn't something new that Disney has done. I was anticipating Kiara to be bigger than Kion since she's older, but there could still be hope for that. Sounds to me, bab, like you are looking forward to this series, which I find strange considering you don't even like the Lion King franchise to begin with.

So, does that mean, the one we see, at the climax of the first film is; Kion? And the scene, at the start of the Second one is a diffrnt one?
Like I wonder though, how shall they fit him, in to the continuity of the Second Film?

From the newest video I saw it looks like Kiara is the younger sibling? o.o All the things I have read say that Kiara is the older sibling. Now this contradiction comes up? Freaking Wikipedia!

Ok, so I recorded the pilot episode, but I haven't watched it yet, and I probably won't until Friday because I'm going to be super busy preparing for Thanksgiving, so PLEASE do not post any spoilers here!

Well, I finally got a chance to watch the pilot to The Lion Guard. I must say, it looks really good. The animation looks amazing, considering it's going to be a tv series. I'm not sure if I like Simba's voice in this series. He doesn't even sound remotely close to the way he does in the movies. Timon and Pumbaa are there, but they have much smaller roles, and Ernie Sabella is reprising his role as Pumbaa. They even got James Earl Jones back to voice Mufasa. I also noticed the actor allusion when he said, "I am your grandfather," to Kion. So I think I will definitely watch this series once it starts this January. Though I would not recommend it to babclayman, as I fear he might find a lot of stuff to complain about if he watches it.

I have yet to watch the episode myself, or the supposed film if there is one but the trailer alone shows a few "issues". To say the least, they clearly went after the animation style of Jake & the Neverland Pirates. That and they put this on Disney Junior, not Disney Channel or Disney XD; you know...channels whose audience would very much likely know what Lion King is and enjoy the original stuff but in turn would probably hate this so go figure but still. Actually just given the animation style I wouldn't be surprised if the show's episodes followed a template based on the aforementioned series. I'm not surprised Matthew Broderick wasn't in the role again, but I'm kinda surprised James E. Jones would reprise...in a TV show for an audience that doesn't know who he is what Lion King is...then again we won't be seeing Vader in his former glory anyway so it's one or the other. (And Disney owns Star Wars so they have the legal rights to do that actor reference.) I heard the three main hyenas are in the series; is Whoopi Goldberg gonna be in again? Also, from what I recall of the trailer...there's umm...no Zazu; he was part of the first movie's fun. "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts (deedily-deedily) There they are a-standing in a row"
