This is news that just came out, so we can't be expected to even know this so quickly.
Anyway, I've taken a look into this in the article in that link. I'm glad to see that a new 101D TV show will be coming soon. From what I've read in the article about this upcoming show, it's going to be a lot different from everything we've seen and known in everything else 101D-related, but I am really curious as to exactly what this show will really be like or how this show will turn out.

Does this even tie in with the old show/movies in any way? Doesn't look like Cruella's around and the characters are all new. Granted it looks like they are keeping the British flavor most "101" incarnations have, even hired a British crew to make it.

It doesn't look like there are any humans in the dalmatians house this time. One wonder if there are any in the show at all...or perhaps Epsilon has already won...

Based on additional press releases, it would seem they plan to air this on Disney Channel instead of Disney Junior. It's weird how The Lion King gets the preschool treatment but 101 Dalmatians doesn't. I guess we'll find out for sure in due time.

Probably because the Cruella movie is coming.
I would be more excited if this new show was closer in essence to the series. For me the fact that seems to be taking most of its cues from the 1961 movie is a bit troubling.
I'll just say that speaking as a published author I may not have juvenile literature down to a science. But I do have an idea about how it works.

However this turns out it's nice to see something new "101 Dalmatians" related that actually focuses on the dalmatians. Lately it's seemed like people only want Cruella.

I am not sure if I want to watch it. If they wanted to add New characters. They should have introduced them in season 3 of the series.

Based on what I read, it sounds like this series is going to be completely irrelevant to the franchise altogether. I'm going to consider it non-cannon like the CD-I Zelda games.

You can't just choose what is and isn't canon. Besides, canon doesn't really apply to the 101 Dalmatians franchise. Cadpig was an important character in the books, but Walt Disney ignored her completely, and then she showed up in the series with a completely different personality. |

They changed to many things in the series from the movies. I thought Cadpig should have showed up in the second movie along Penny and Lucky, Rolly.

Ooooooooh, They're making another; "101 Dalmatians" Show!? That does sound Awesome! Though, from what I read, the Parent Dalmatians are not Pongo & Perdita, but; Doug and Delilah. So, it is possible that this is set in an Altrnte Universe, as it seems that while the Adult Dalmatians are more anthr like. It is set to air next year though, so things may be adjusted, to make it ft in to the Normal Canon more.  It is good to see more "101 Dalmatians" related Shows coming, though! I wonder if they shall show a Trailer for this, at D 23? |
